Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaNot too much to say and they are not related to the resort to be honest..The resort it's dedicated to the families in general , and there are alot of English people , French etc that are coming with their kids and they leave them sometimes without watching over them. This means that the kids are doing alot of things that are not ok..of course this is due to the parents, and education that they receive, but it would have been good to have someone to look over them and be careful. Other thing it's also not related to the hotel but i ll leave the comment for the visibility, be aware that the transportation infrastructure in Crete it's very bad. If you don't rent a car, the taxis are overpriced ( I think it s like a shark mafia in the entire island like Bolt and so on, for 5 km they want between 25 - 30 euro one ride!!! This is crazy! ) . The buses are also very bad, they don't come or if they will do it, you will not know where are they going) If you don't come prepared with cash, all the ATM are taking 10% commission for one transaction - also very bad from my opinion and would be good for everyone to know this in advance.
Location, near the beach, the kids area it's very nice, the garden very beautiful and well mentained, the food option and the hole personal it was great, the entertainment and the fact that in every night they planned different kind of shows ( dancing, magic , pool party, night movies - for the kids it was fantastic). The beach is also clear and with soft sand , water very good at end of August. I cannot complain on something about the resort ..just a few little things that needs some improvements.

IsraelThe food repeats itself between lunch and dinner, and after a few days it’s hard to enjoy. At the water park, the food is exactly the same every day with no variety. Only two restaurants are available outside the main dining hall, and one of them is basically the same as the dining hall. The kids’ menu is very limited. If you arrive just five minutes late to lunch or breakfast , there’s almost nothing left to eat since everything is cleared away so quickly.
The staff was amazing – friendly and helpful. The water park was fantastic, and the kids had a great time. The kids’ club was wonderful, very high quality and well organized. The room was cute and comfortable. Drinks in the room were a nice touch

AustriaThis has been our third consecutive year in this amazing location. The team is wonderful, the food is great and the facilities impeccable. Our son is very entertained by the water slides and evening kids program and highly motivated to eat his proteins and grow by next year, so he can slide on the older kids slides 😁. So yes, we’ll be back in 2026 as well. Looking forward. PS: it’s worth renting a car and doing the Sebi Submarine tour and the lemurs feeding at Amazonas Park Zoo

IsraelSome pillows was compressed and not comfortable. Water can be more clarity at pools in Stella village. Stella village hotel guests don’t have towels station at water park and need to take and drop the towels all the way from the Stella village (With big family and small kids it’s uncomfortable for parents as a vacation could be)
Great place for summer vacation with kids, and great spot to travel and explore island with a car. The kids had a lot of fun at water park, pools, mini golf and at kids zone with nursery and activities, while we can enjoy spa treatments. Diversity food, entertainment and shows Great and caring staff.

GermanyIt is not that we did not like it. Just wish that the time for meals were longer. As well for the use of the pool... services were specify until 18:00 which we can understand but ideally 20:00 would be better.
The people were very friendly and accommodating. Location and the facilities were excellent for families with small children.

United KingdomIt is not really a negative part but in my opinion the reception is letting down the whole amazing experience. It is just a basic desk with 3 sofas. Most paints on the walls are not straight. I also ask support with booking a taxi from the airport, on our arrival and got all the info requested, I confirmed we want to proceed but got no further reply. We took a taxi from the airport and the price was the same as the hotel advised, €40.
We arrived in the middle of the night at Stella Village and we appreciated the electric carts carrying the guests and luggages, especially that we were tired after a long day with a delayed flight. We even had food left for us in the room, in the mini fridge. We stayed in a superior family room 423, with a double bed and 2 single beds, separated by a sliding mirror. The room is extremely comfortable, great shower facility, balcony, towels changed daily, mini bar refilled daily with soft drinks and water. We loved the atmosphere, people and fantastic food. They have great bars, swimming pools for every preference, good music, access to a beach with sun loungers, evening entertainment. We visited the water park at Stella Palace one day and it was great for kids. There are beautiful palm trees everywhere very well maintained and all the people are working hard to keep this place to a high standard. There is a water sports company in a short walking distance and great beach bars if you prefer a walk outside the hotel in the evenings. I found very useful installing their app on arrival and you will have handy all the locations, events, map. A truly enjoyable holiday, thank you. 🤩

IsraelUnreliable Wi‑Fi No internet access in the dining area and frequent disconnections throughout the resort. Room Key Issues The keycard stopped working multiple times during our stay and had to be reprogrammed at reception. Water Park Accessibility The park is located uphill and a few minutes’ walk away. In the heat, without available golf carts, this can be quite uncomfortable. Gym Access is Not Included The fitness center requires an additional daily fee. Today, most hotels include gym access as a standard amenity, and it's frustrating to pay extra for quick vacation workouts. Room Maintenance The sliding door between the rooms was broken and wouldn’t close properly. Limited Toiletries Only basic soap and shampoo were provided in large dispensers. No individual toiletries like conditioner, lotion, or vanity kits. Poor Beach Facilities The beach umbrellas are small and non-adjustable. There's no bar or drink service on the beach, which makes it less comfortable for longer stays. Lack of Communication About Kids’ Club We weren’t informed that registration for the kids’ club was required in advance — this led to some disappointment and confusion.
Two years ago, we stayed at Stella Palace, and when booking this time, I didn’t realize “Stella” was a hotel chain – I thought I was booking the same place. So arriving at Stella Village instead of Palace was a surprise. Yes, Palace is 5 stars and Village is 4, but honestly? We barely felt a difference. Rooms are a bit smaller, pools too, and the food selection is more limited – but the price difference doesn’t reflect that. In fact, Village had many advantages – and the biggest one was the amazing staff. Everyone – receptionists, dining staff, bartenders, golf cart drivers, kids' club team, and lifeguards – was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The room was comfortable, and I especially appreciated that the kids had real beds instead of pull-out sofas. Evening entertainment was fun, and while the buffet wasn’t huge, everything was tasty – especially the desserts. Special thanks to: Lidita in the dining room – always smiling and sweet. The golf cart drivers, especially Christopher, who helped my elderly parents with such patience. The lovely girls at the kids' club. The lifeguards, respectful and friendly. Ihor, in particular, treated my son’s minor injury with such care. We also loved the Village vibe – younger, more fun, and social, thanks to one central bar instead of many scattered ones like at Palace. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Saudi ArabiaOn the downside, the large number of plants attracted insects and mosquitoes, which bothered the kids. The rooms were also not as clean as we had expected and could use more attention from housekeeping. Additionally, the beach was a bit disappointing — the water wasn’t very clear, and we would have appreciated having a snack and drink bar nearby for added convenience.
The facility is really nice and well maintained, with beautiful greenery that creates a pleasant atmosphere. There are activities for the kids throughout the day, which was a big plus for our family. We also enjoyed the many swimming pool options and the aquapark — there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. The quality of the food was average to good — some meals were enjoyable, while others were just okay. One of the highlights was the nearby beachfront restaurants just outside the resort, which were within walking distance and offered a nice change of scenery and food options.

IsraelThe Best Hotel Experience I’ve Ever Had This was, without a doubt, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everything about our experience was outstanding. The food was absolutely incredible – top-quality, diverse, and available at all times. Whether it was the main dining hall or the hotel’s restaurants, the selection was endless and catered to every taste and preference. The cleanliness was impeccable. Every corner of the hotel was spotless, constantly maintained to the highest standards. The facilities were simply amazing. Multiple pools for all ages, an enormous water park, and countless activities made it perfect for families and kids – but also relaxing for adults. What truly set this hotel apart was the level of service. The staff was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt welcome and cared for. The service here was the best I’ve ever experienced.

CanadaThis is not about the property but just that when you are in Greece, there is a special experience to get closer to the local culture and people. You definitely need to go outside the resort to get a feeling of the amazing Cretan culture.
We travelled with our 13 year old. She loved the waterslides! This is a truly unique feature and one that kids and parents enjoy together. She loved the all day ice-cream bar and the games are with table tennis and air hockey. The all inclusive model is nice for families, and this all inclusive is definitely among the best I have experienced ❤️
