How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The rooms are a bit tight for 2 people. Not enough room to layout your luggage. Prefer no carpet in rooms. It shows wear and tear and hard to clean.
Fun and quirky decor. Loved the colour and concept hotel. Beautiful pool and day lounge area. Toilette were nice quality. Nice location amongst a quiet upscale neighborhood. Easy walking to restaurants and shops.

There was no place to put soap by the sink. The original room we were given smelled like smoke but they did quickly give us another room.
The staff was very friendly. Oddly, when we asked about reconstituted eat, they did not offer to help with calling ahead for a table- there were 8 of us- but they were all very nice. The elevator was very fast.The staff at breakfast was very helpful.

Just that I think it’s time for some renovation
In need of some renovation perhaps but the location and more Importantly the personnel really make up for this. Excellent customer service, attentive personnel, couldn’t ask for more

I have been staying at the hotel for the last 15 years and it has been one of my favorites in Athens. However, they have started charging entry for non-guests to use the pool. During this particular stay, the pool was extremely busy with children and toddlers. It was not the most relaxing experience, especially after a long flight. Further, I invited a friend for lunch and she had a quick dip in the pool. As she left the hotel, they charged her 50 euros. The hotel should communicate this policy clearly to guests - in order to avoid misunderstandings.
The hotel is located in one of the nicest northern suburbs in Athens. It is only a short walk from all the shops in Kifissia. There are some great restaurants in the area.

There was no welcoming drinks or free water. The style of the hotel may be great but at the same time not so friendly, i.e. the bathroom has no door or a curtain, missing another trash bin in the room, there is not enough light in the room. In addition, the hotel is not so near from the restaurants, shopping area nor the metro station.
The hotel is great for photographs and a unique place to stay. The room is spacious with great colours

The hotel needs renovation. Also, nowadays, a coffee, tea etc machine in the room is as basic as the bathroom towels. Unfortunately we didn't find any and this added to the unwelcoming ambience of this hotel. The price did not correspond to the quality that Semiramis offers and it is more than annoying to be reminded by the staff that this is a design hotel. Also judging by the answers the hotel gives to other low reviews, it seems as if they pride themselves in what they consider as a design hotel and they are not willing to seriously consider their guests' comments and change anything- the truth is an industrial designer once designed Semiramis and since then it's no more than that.... I also realise this review will not make any difference -which also reflects the hotel's policy to not value their guests's view at all ...
