It was close to everything: the beach, restaurants and shops. It was reasonably priced for the area. George and Stella, and their daughters, were very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed in Greece for nearly two weeks at various locations, and this was the most expensive apartment (booked late in the highest season in Chania). Comperd to the others the flat was not big or very well lit, the bathroom was OK, but nothing special, same goes for the whole place. However the host made up for all the "shortcomings" with his smile, the freebies, the great location, etc.

The host, George is a great guy with a full beaming smile and a good advise or two always at hand. He lives at the property, so he is most of the times around if you would need anything. They let us check in real late and did not mind, we had to change the time of arrival a few times. Balcony overlooks a quiet yard, AC works smooth. We loved the location too, very close to centre but free paring is available all around. They even had a beach umbrella, sand toys for our kids, some beach chairs and games to take with us for the beach days free of charge.

We loved everything about our stay! This small hotel is run by a lovely family who made us feel very welcome. They kindly allowed us to check in early and leave our bags in the morning, which was incredibly helpful. They even provided us with an umbrella for the beach. We had the best view overlooking the bay, with charming restaurants and a beautiful beach just steps away. We especially enjoyed the sunsets and peaceful mornings on the wonderful terrace. The room exceeded our expectations, it was even better than the pictures. The beds and mattresses were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bathroom was newly renovated. We didn’t cook during our stay, but the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you’d need. The room was cleaned daily and was spotlessly clean each time. A special thank you for the lovely towel and pijama decorations, such a thoughtful touch. If we return, we’ll definitely stay here again without hesitation.

For our first time in Chania, the accommodation truly exceeded our expectations! We were fortunate to be right next to the main city beach, just a 5–10 minute walk away. The old town is also within walking distance. The hosts, Stella and Georgios, are genuinely kind people who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There is nothing about Semeli Studios in Chania that doesn’t deserve praise.

Good location of the hotel, nice and very helpful owners who gave us advice and recommended attractions in the area. Communication before arrival and during our stay was perfect. The hotel is located a short distance from the beach. The sandy beach with a gradual entry into the water is great for families with children. It is a few minutes walk from the hotel to the historic town. For a trip around the island we rented a car at the neighboring hotel, where Antonio is amazing, who will help you and nothing is a problem... :)).

Hot water was missing one day, but this was repaired after couple of hours.

Awesome place to spend vacation - close to the beach, there are restaurants with seafood nearby. Apartment has all that is needed, (for me fridge is a must). It was clean and tidy and bed was very comfortable. It has wonderful sea view! Definitely value for money. Owner was very welcoming and I was given their own fruits and little snacks. I would return here one day.

Bathroom is a bit tiny.

It was next to the beach and also a short walk (10-15min) from the city center with main harbor with many restaurants and lot of vibes. The host is friendly & explains everything at the arrival.

Probably one of the best locations in Chania, a short en ough walk to the old town maybe 15 mins max however far enough out that you have a space to relax when not in the hustle and bustle. Its opposite a beautiful harbour with many great places to eat, especially woodstock cafe and restaurant a stones throw from Semili. As for the rooms, they were clean, tidy and provided everything you needed including ice cold air con and a MOKA pot for your morning coffee on the balcony. Thos hosts are fantastic - honestly this is a fabulous location, with excellent amenities. I would find it hard for anyone to not enjoy their stay at Semil.

Only one small thing regarding the shower door wasn't sealed properly and the water was coming through but I mentioned it to George and he was sorting out straight away

The location of the property is brilliant. 10 minutes walk to the old town. The stunning views from the balcony, overlooking Nea Hora Chania harbour and Kertos /Nea Chora Beaches, full of restaurants with great food. Stella and George were fantastic, helpful and friendly. Always ready to help and give recommendations regarding anything really, food trips etc. I was given a parasol and a beach towel. Lovely family

Excellent family-run hotel. The family who manage it were extremely helpful, always available, and full of useful information and recommendations. Excellent location – within walking distance of the entire old town of Χανιά, making it easy to explore the area on foot. There are also great restaurants nearby. Excellent cleanliness of the hotel and the room. ->added bonus: Giorgio is an excellent Italian speaker. A great stay overall – definitely recommended.
