Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Netherlands+ Location - The property is at a vineyard there are only three rooms so it's perfect for a few nights away from the business of other areas in the island. There are a few really nice activities around (olive oil farm, Knossos, etc.) but still you have the peacefulness of the area. + Food - The breakfast was great, we also ordered dinner one night it was definitely worth it. + Staff is super friendly & helpful, they did everything to accommodate our needs. + Wine tasting on location - of course being at a vineyard you can select from various wine tasting options.

CanadaThis property is special. I felt that the accommodation itself was very thoughtfully designed with ample space both indoors and outdoors to enjoy some peaceful days at the property. The vineyards and outdoor areas are beautifully maintained. The air and the light particularly were splendid. We really did appreciate the activities on site, such as the winery tour and cooking class. It was a nice opportunity to experience a love for food and wine through a local perspective. The staff too were exceptional. They were kind and caring and very responsive of any additional needs we shared. Overall, we had a very positive experience and I'm so grateful we came by this property in our travel research!

This was our favourite place to stay in Crete! So quiet and peaceful. The room was beautiful with everything we needed including an amazing outdoor sitting area with the best views. Chrissy brought us the best breakfast in the morning including fresh fruit. Also enjoyed an amazing dinner brought to us which we ate in the outdoor patio. The wine tasting experience was also fantastic!

Brilliant hilltop location overlooking the vineyards and olive groves. Lovely rooms . Breakfast and dinner served to your balcony by such lovely people. The wine tasting and tour was interesting with some good wines to try . You had the place to yourselves in the evenings and early mornings to wander the vineyards.

NetherlandsThe Liatiko appartment is perfect for a couple. Comfortable, clean and with amazing views from the terrace. A delicious, fresh breakfast was served there by the best staff. We also booked a cooking class with them, which was a great way to spend the afternoon when the weather wasn't the best. The vinyard and gardens are well maintained, peaceful and quiet, while conveniently located close to the airport. Oh and there is wine too... what more could you want? Highly recommend!

United StatesBeautiful location. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Close to Knossos. The "door" on the larger bathroom needs to be changed (it is more of a sliding curtain than a door. Perhaps replace it with a sliding "wooden barn door." Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful. The staff at the winery was outstanding. The olive oil/cheese/wine tasting and Cretan menu was awesome. All in all, we highly recommend this place as a great alternative to Heraklion.

United StatesThere is a long walk from the parking area to the units but staff helped me with my luggage.
The unit I stayed in was the building that had been used to crush grapes. It was really unique, very pretty and large. Breakfast was served on the patio right outside my front door. It was delicious and the setting among the vineyard was gorgeous. The winery is right next door and the cooking class and wine tasting I had there was fantastic.

United KingdomAlthough had a dining option there was no real alternative to eating outside and it was windy and cold in the evenings at this time of year. Would be good to have the option of dining inside the winery in that case. This was room only with no kitchen facilities. Some maintenance is due on this room, the shutters & mosquito nets not working properly and a broken drain in the bathroom. Had an issue with Booking.com as half payment had not been charged as expected which made it awkward at check-out.
Decent room & nice to have balcony/terrace to ourselves. Interesting quiet location. Bedding comfortable. Food (breakfast & dinner) was delicious and more than plentiful with the lady serving very pleasant. Wine bought from the vineyard very nice & really enjoyed reading the Malvasia history book in the room.

United StatesNothing. It was perfect. Internet is a bit slow but I was told it was about to be very fast when they link it to the winery network capability. They don't push the tastings. But I'm sure one could schedule a tasting of that famous wine. I didn't ask because we were out touring in the car all day.
It took me a day to figure it out, but these are 4 suites on the property of the Boutari winery, which is one of the biggest (and really excellent) wineries in Crete. The suites are beautiful and about 70 meters past where all the wine tastings take place. The whole property is fantastic. The stone building with the 4 suites has beautiful big patios that are literally in the vineyard and olive grove with beautiful views out over the valley and to the mountains. It's a quiet place and the winery has no restaurant (but does have beautiful big tasting rooms that where I'm sure one could schedule a tasting. It doesn't matter that there is no restaurant at the property because 1 Kilometer away is the fantastic restaurant Elia and Diosmos Olive Mint in the village of Skalani. We used this suite as a base for car trips all over the wine region and were gone all day on scenic drives through the mountains and vineyards in that whole area. It is 10 minutes from Knossos and 10 minutes to the beautiful village of Archanes. It is 30 minutes to the beautiful area around the village of Kastelli, which is surrounded by amazing Byzantine churches and monasteries. We spent three days driving all around that area, which is perhaps the most dramatic and impressive in Crete. Parking is plentiful, free and close to the room. The rooms are big and very nice. The views are fabulous. It's a great place to base. Breakfast is great and served to your room by the hardest working woman in Crete, who ran back and forth to the winery to bring trays of food and drink at breakfast. You can take it in the room or sit on the beautiful patio....

IrelandThe only thing we didn't like was that the window shutters were not closing fully and it was a pretty windy night so they kept on banging against the wall making quite a lot of noise.
The rooms are just right in the vineyard and the winery - really nice scenery, you can actually go for a walk through the vines and do the wine tasting in the winery (better to book it in advance to make sure they are still open as the last tasting was at around 4 or 5PM). Rooms are really nice and comfortable with private outside seating.
