Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesCleanliness of the room. The sheet on the bed had a blood stain. I contacted front desk and Natalia had housekeeping immediately changed it.
The property is in a perfect location. Amenities are great. The team was so friendly and accommodating.

NetherlandsOur room was infronf of a giant aircon vent which was very annoying and disturbing (loud and hot weather coming in). We asked if we can change our rooms but hotel wasn’t able to help. We were only staying for 3 nights so we let go of it. Be careful if you choose economy rooms. Hotel is not brand new but it is convenient and amenities are sufficient.

SwedenThe beach could be cleaned up by the hotel a bite more.
Excellent location at Agia Marina where the beach is the best. Close to restaurants and right next to a medium sized store where you can buy your necessities. Also an ATM there. We had the room with sea view and balcony. Amazing view. Large balcony with a table and chairs. There’s a clothes hanger there too for your towels etc. The room is clean and has what you need for a beach holiday. Beds were comfortable. The “private” beach area where you have sun beds available for free is great too. Lifeguard is present every day. But there aren’t too many beds and if you want the ones in the front you have to go up at least around 8-8:30 AM as people reserve with towels. Same by the pool area. But there are many beach clubs just next door where you can rent beds fairly cheap. One thing to note about the beach is that it had quite a lot of dried up seaweed. I mean it’s not a big issue. But I think the hotel should rake it up to provide an even more impeccable beach. The staff are so nice and the pool bar had very good lunch and a wide array of cocktails or other alcoholic beverages. You can bring it down to the beach too. Over all, we had an excellent time here and will definitely go back here. Can’t stress enough how nice the staff is and in general all Greek people.

United KingdomOnly down side is the location is 20 minutes outside of Chania town so there's not a lot to do around the resort area. Not a problem if you're planning on not leaving the poolside and beach.
Lovely buffet food selection, clean pool and really easy close access to the beach with loungers. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Free parking and supermarket next door.

GermanyA number of negative points stuck out to me. First of all, while I appreciated the evening entertainment on the weekends, music would always play until at least 23:00/11pm. On two separate occasions during my ten-night stay, I had to contact the staff because it went well past the already late end time. I understand that some people may enjoy this and I wouldn’t want to take this away from anyone, but many people, myself included, come to a resort to relax, which for me includes resting. The music is incredibly loud from within the rooms. Second, I find the dining experience overall to be very lacking. Breakfast had no coffee machine of any kind and I often had to chase down the staff to pour me a coffee. If there is no self-serve option, which I would prefer, I should never have to chase someone down for a basic filter coffee - especially when at most a handful of tables are even filled. Furthermore, the resort nickels and dimes you for everything. During dinner, the ‘restaurant’, which is nothing more than a buffet, charges €30 per person, an absurd amount considering that is the usual price for a very nice meal with drink and appetizer in one of the many nearby restaurants. Considering that on top of that it isn’t even a restaurant, I find this inexcusable. Finally, while most of the staff were kind, I did have one negative experience that stands out. On the final day, room service wanted to hand us an evaluation form to fill out for our stay. We had our “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. Rather than trying to get it to us that day while the room was being cleaned, another time or simply sending it via email, they chose to do so while the “Do Not Disturb” was up. I yelled out “no” multiple times from within the room. On its own not a big deal, just somewhat rude but I could get over that. However, instead of then just leaving it in the door after knocking or coming back another time, I heard the door begin to open. At the time, I was fully unclothed.
The location on the beach is hard to beat.

FranceThis is a four-star hotel charging unjustified five-star prices. We rented a junior suite and paid 800 euros per night for three people. The junior suite has a large terrace, but a very small and poorly equipped bathroom. The washbasin is in the room, but the bathtub and toilet are in a separate, tiny space. Using the bathroom was difficult, especially for three people. The décor of the room is old. There was a clear shortage of staff, with the same restaurant staff who serve breakfast, and then continue for the day to serve in the pool bar, and then return to serve dinner in the restaurant, for what appears to be a long day's work. Staff are sometimes seconded by the hotel manager himself to serve at the pool bar. There were no staff dedicated to concierge services, including assistance with luggage. We also felt a little unsafe as all the hotel rooms were accessible by a back staircase that leads to the main street without any control and with no visible signs of video surveillance. Finally, the hotel has poor-quality WIFI, although for free. In short, we felt that the accommodation was exorbitantly overpriced, in a hotel that seems to favour cost compression and over-maximise profit.
The cleanliness of the hotel is very good. The service from the low and middle level staff was excellent. They were attentive and efficient. This includes the dedicated room cleaners who made our stay enjoyable. Parking was for free, and sunbeds at the tiny beach were also for free.

IsraelUnfortunately, the experience we had with the hotel manager was quite dubious, We booked 2 rooms facing the sea, the first night we were told there was a problem with 1 room and we were given lunch at the pool as compensation. and a bottle of wine. (which we returned and did not use), while promising that the next day the matter would be settled, the next day we got a room with a sea view and not a sea front (which is more expensive), when I complained about it, the hotel manager told me that this is what he could give me. When I asked him for his details, he gave me a hotel card without mentioning his name!!! Until this moment I have not received back the cost difference I paid for the room i booked I explained that a voucher for lunch at the pool is to make fun of us, but I got no response. The furniture and the rooms are very old.
The hotel is located in an excellent place, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good

RomaniaI think, this is the kind of hotels which prefer to overbook the rooms hoping not everybody will show off. In our case, our rooms seemed to be already ocupied, even if we came in the morning. The hotel simply refused to accommodate us in those 2 rooms we paid for, without any explanation or sorry. We were sent to other rooms with a strong sewage smell, instead, at the basement, for the first night. No explanation for this. I strongly recommend you to bring your own towels as those provided by the hotel are better to be avoided. The Wi-Fi is very poor. From time to time, at the pool bar there is a concert. The window has no noise insulation. You may like or not the musing, but you will have no chance to sleep until the finish of the concert.
It is situated at the beach. The rooms are OK. Because of the lack of availability in this hotel, we staid also at Ninemia Beach, which is 200 meters, also on the beach, where you can find much higher quality, and lower prices. And impeccable towels...

United StatesThe wifi was not good in the room so it would be wonderful if that could be improved. There was “better” wifi in a basement conference room but if something could be done to improve it in the rooms, that would make it perfect.😉 Also consider having the pool bar open for dinner later in the evening. It closed at 4:00 for food and we would have enjoyed eating there during some of our evenings instead of eating the buffet dinners offered in the dining room or going out to find a restaurant outside the hotel.
We had such a wonderful stay here! The hotel is spotless and well maintained. The location is perfect for enjoying the beach and there are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast was amazing with wonderful food choices. The staff were all so friendly and always very helpful. We liked the fact that this was a smaller, boutique hotel and not huge and impersonal, nor so small that it didn’t have things to offer (like a nice pool bar, full breakfast, evening bar, setting up excursions, etc.). we would highly recommend and would love to return someday!
