Sophia and Iannis run this hotel the way hospitality is defined. With warmth, charm and a smile. They made my stay super nice, and the hotel had everything you need. From a clean room, to breakfast, which can also be eaten outside, a pool. The place is not "fancy", but it offers everything you need for sure.

Well what can I say, Sofia, Yanus and Alexandro were so very welcoming and made our stay at Hotel Santa Elena so enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble, it was like a home from home, such lovely people! Lovely clean rooms everyday and a lovely continental breakfast every morning with some of Sofias homemade pastries which were delicious! Pool area was very relaxing and only 10 mins walk to town and beach area. There is an Irish quote...."There are no strangers here, only friend's you have not met yet"...I think this is very fitting for this Hotel...we will be back! Thanks so much 💖

Fantastic owners of the hotel. They are so kind and give you service over the top. The hotel is so beautiful and the view is beautiful. There is a little walk to the beach, but I don’t mind. Maybe 10-15 minutes and that is worth it. Because we have been in Santorini so many times on different hotels . And I will call it the best place to stay. Of course there are more expensive hotels on the island, but they don’t give you that heartwarming feeling. So many beautiful little details everywhere, and the staff make you feel like, you are at home. Just like a very beautiful heartwarming home.

Santa Elena is a really great place to stay. Small nice hotel and very good value. As you will find from many other reviews on this site, Sofia was just amazing and so comitted to helping guests getting a great holiday experience. The service level that she provided is out of reach for any hotel I have tried. The hotel is very clean, breakfast good and the pool big enough to make sure that you can get your excersice if relevant on a holiday. The distance to Kamari "downtown" is just a 12 minute walk and you wont be disturbed by any noise from the city which is also nice. Easy bus rides to both Fira and Oia just five minutes walk from the hotel. In short - what's not to like?

Sophia and her Brother made us very feel welcome. Sophia is very attentive, helpful and friendly. The swimming pool (approx 12m long) was amazing! Set in such lovely tranquil surroundings. We were upgraded to a comfort room (top floor). The room was spacious and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The apartments are about a 10 min walk to the promenade, where there are so many bars and restaurants to choose from. However, our favourite taverns was called Bacchus, which was a 5 min walk from apartment. Exceptional value for money with home cooked traditional food. We hired a quad bike to explore the island - def recommend. We would return to Santa Elena in a heartbeat.

Everything was amazing about this hotel. A huge thank you to Sofia who made it fabulous - she is a gem. It is an 18 room hotel and the walk to the sea is 0.5 miles but it does feel like you are staying in a rural area. Pool area is great with nothing taking away the sunshine. A 5 minute walk to the open air cinema. 25 euros taxi to and from airport. I will be going back again - just fabulous

Loved everything.

Loved our stay here. Just the place to relax and unwind. Spotlessly clean rooms, lovely balcony and view. Great pool area and garden very well tended. Wonderful breakfast in such a relaxed setting. Sofia what an amazing kind friendly helpful host, her brother and the lovely Anna who must take great pride in how spotless she keeps the place. Worth every penny.

The rooms were spotless, with an excellent view of the hotel garden, the local church, and the sea. The team hosted us exceptionally, providing a good breakfast each morning, towels to go to the beach, and an immaculate room daily. The location was great, a ten minute walk to the beach (maximum), as well as Sophie providing great recommendations of where to eat and visit. I could not recommend the hotel more and would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely loved staying at Santa Elena, Sofia made me feel at home from the very first day of my stay. The place is very clean and peacful, with a beautiful garden and the pool overlooking the sea. The location is just perfect as it’s away from the hussle and bassle, with a short walking distance to the beach and the bus stop for buses that go to Fira (every 30min). The breakfast is always served fresh with veg, fruit and home made local specialies made in-house. I cannot think of a better place to stay in Santorini ❤️ Thank you for everything Sofia🙏🏻💕🇬🇷

We arrived late after flight changes. Sophia was so gracious to arrange transfer, alter transport times, kindly check us in late & offer advice on walking to the nearby beach. The black beach & full moon was just beautiful as was everything at Santa Elena. Would definitely stay agin (& stay longer) here!

I’d be hard-pressed to say there was anything I didn’t like about the property

What was there not to like about the property?! It was so comfortable and Sophia and her brother made everything magical. The walk to the beach was lovely and quick. Breakfast was amazing with homemade pastries each morning different made by Sophia herself. Her brother made sure, I had every thing I needed, as well as her. He helped me book tours and help me with connections. They were both so gracious and welcoming. It made me feel like I had a home away from home. Santorini was truly a piece of heaven and they make it so.

A little hard to find at night- sat nav directed us incorrectly, but some very helpful locals escorted us to the hotel!

Staff were wonderful- we arrived late and they were there to greet us. Everyone was so helpful. The room and common areas were very clean. Pool was lovely and really quite large .

Our stay at Santa Elena was brilliant. Sophia and her brother were very helpful and friendly. They gave us loads of tips of what we could do around Santorini including good restaurants. The breakfast was fantastic - Sophia bakes it all herself. The room was comfortable and was well-cleaned everyday. We enjoyed spending time by the pool and on the balcony. The location was perfect as it was quiet but an easy walk to nearby restaurants, shops and the beach. We will definitely recommend Santa Elena and would love to return!

Everything is perfect! Sofia, the hostess, is incredible, she and other staff members are very helpful. It's a max 10min walk to the beach, and it's very close to the bus station. Great breakfast and clean rooms. I am definitely planning on staying here again ❤️
