How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The wat pressure was low and the shower took ages. The balcony door locks were broken. The breakfast is poor.

Verified reviewNot much...the only staff member that smiled and was very friendly was the morning breakfast member. She was preparing and making the pancakes for breakie and was even singing a morning song! We did not get to use the pool as it closed at 7:00pm and we had just got off the bus and wanted a quick swim in the pool but staff quickly closed the pool. The bar staff were very unfriendly and the female staff member did not smile at all and was quite rude. I was very disappointed with the service I received at the bar. Reception staff were rather friendly. Hospitality staff need to be warm, smiling and friendly. Overall disappointed with the service we received.

We would like to inform you that our swimming pool operating hours are 10 am to 7 pm and are indicated both at the pool and at our reception. You just need to know that the swimming pool closes at that time because there is no lifeguard after 7pm and we take the safety rules for our customers very seriously. As for the other issue you mentioned about the girl at the bar, we consider it unfair, especially for our staff, because our staff gets the best reviews for their service and their smiles to our customers.

Verified reviewWhat a find! I was so lucky. Rooms were modernized. Just enough space. Everything I needed for a five day stay. Room overlooked mountains and the pool. Breakfast provided and offered a nice variety to choose from. Pool was fantastic with tiered lounging area with sun beds. Enough trees that you had the option of shade or sun. Live Greek music two nights a week at the pool bar. But best of all were the staff. Everyone I met was kind and helpful as well as patient. Can’t wait to come back
Not much of anything. The only suggestion I would make would be in the pool tiered area where it felt like some of the boards under the faux grass may have been loose. I’m sure they will do maintenance on off season

The room we were put in did not match the photos on Bookings.com it is in desperate need of refurbishment. The shower attachment was broken, the sink in a bad state. Wood panelling peeling off the doors. The beds were uncomfortable and pillows old and very poor quality. The room also had odd smell. The one coffee machine at breakfast was broken, breakfast was quite basic, my son queued nearly 30 minutes for a pancake.

Verified reviewGreat first impression walking in, nicely designed feels like a blend of traditional and modern. Friendly and helpful staff, peaceful, great location, lots of terrace space.
The fake grass by the pool felt shabby and dated - would look better to pull it up and replace with the traditional tiling you have in the entrance.

Verified reviewThe room was nice and clean, and the cleaning was done thoroughly every day. Breakfast was simple but had a nice variety that changed daily. The location was within walking distance of a small beach and the town. The staff were excellent – very friendly and helpful.
