The best view in ithaka. Magic ! Our host was a great village man local in ithaka. Location 4 min( with car) from vathi capital of ithaka. Very clean , comfortable and private place to relax. 100% recommended!

Just be careful on the climb up, cause it's quite steep to drive (we were driving a scooter) and could be perilous if you're not a driver with confidence in yourself.

Views aew breathtaking, especially on the apartment on top. The facilities were basic, but doing required job.

The kitchen facilities are basic but there are plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. No hot water in the kitchen. No air-con in the bedroom - it’s only in the main lounge area but does keep the inside cool.

The windmill is located about a 5 minute drive outside Vathy town. It is located up a VERY steep hill!! The views were superb and it was very peaceful when staying here. Shower pressure is fine but it is the usual Greek style of hand held shower.

The only thing I would change is the bathroom door that is a bit old and doesn't close 100%.

Excellent location and view, the apartment is perfect for 2 people, very close to Vathy (5 minute drive) and close to many beaches. Plus the holsts, Mr Makis and Este were the best! Very welcoming and warm.

Absolutely fantastic, mindblowing view, friendly host. Facilities are a bit basic, with aircon only in the main room not in the bedroom and light smell from the pipes. Overall I would definitely go again though just for the view and feel of it.

Despite being a very experienced driver the road up to the house was very difficult. A neighbour's car get stucked one of the nights on the way up. I wish I would be informed about the road peculiarities in advance.

The breathtaking view compensates for very basic comforts.

It certainly is not as described on the advert. The picture that sold it to me was the view outside the large window, however that is the top floor apartment. There are two apartments not the whole place as it says in the advert. We had the ground floor which had been set up for two single beds. We had to rearrange the room so I could sleep next to my wife. Even once we had done this, the beds were very uncomfortable with the springs digging into my ribs. The facilities inside are very basic. I would not have liked to cook dinner on a small hob and tiny oven. There was no instructions left for anything in the apartment we had no idea what to do with rubbish, air con, electrics etc... The air-conditioning unit is faulty and would not turn on properly most times, which is unfortunate as it drowns out the very loud gurgling noises the fridge makes. As others have said the road to the windmill is very very steep. The first time I just about made it in my very small hire car. In the end I basically chucked the car up the hill making sure I never stop until we got to the top. Good fun if a little scary for my wife in the passenger seat. Overall the only point that saved this place was the view as it was very expensive.

The view from the apartment is amazing. It was very relaxing watching the boats go in and out of Vathi. The terrace is lovely. Ithaca is an amazing island.

No hot water in kitchen and poor water pressure and temperature in shower. Coffee machine didn’t work properly. Too far from Vathy without hiring a car or paying for taxis. It was a picturesque building but too expensive for the facilities it provided. It was quiet but not clear on booking that the windmill is two apartments and you have to share the terrace so lacked the privacy we were expecting. The bathroom sliding door didn’t work and one of us was locked in

It has a stunning view over one of the most peaceful bays in Ithaki, a great outdoor terrace to sunbathe in absolute privacy or eat under the pergola. It’s the ideal place if you’re looking for privacy: the only unexpected visitors were some peacocks who passed by in the evening.

I would highly suggest to improve some aspects, such as the equipment of the apartment, which is poor (for instance an hair drier, a sun umbrella in the terrace, bath foam in the bathroom. It would also be kind to leave some drinking water in the fridge and something to eat, for breakfast and as appetizers. This is done in all the other structures where we stayed in Ithaca, which provided us also with a bottle of wine. In general a better attention to such details would be of help. Finally, the bathroom needs to be improved and the water pressure is too low. Maybe this is due to the antiquity of the of the building but it was a problem.

Razos Windmill is a very nice place to stay, in an old restored structure unique in its location. Close to Vathy, with a private parking, it is perfect in a central position with an astonishing view on the gulf. The owners are very kind, mainly Makis who was always helpful. The apartment is wide and almost well equipped, the bathroom is small.
