How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very basic but we only stayed one night after arriving from the airport and before our further trip to chania town
Perfect location for our needs. In between the airport and bus station. We were able to walk to the bus station the following morning. The staff were very friendly and recommended a great taverna for a late night bite. A perfect stop over hotel.

Its to noisy becouse the airplanes so you cant sleep. Its old building.

There was a socket with exposed wires. Pretty sure it wasn't live but who's to know?
Room was fine for the purpose. Late night arrival by plane and needed 1 night stopover. Basic and a bit rundown, but fairly comfy beds and served it's purpose. Not a long stay option unless you're on a really tight budget or young and just need a crash pad.

There was no hot water after 11 pm.
It's pretty good for its price. Of course, this option isn't for those looking for a quiet place. Heraklion itself is quite a vibrant and noisy city. The airport is nearby, so you'll see and hear more than one airplane. The staff is friendly, and there is also an option to ask for breakfast for extra money.

The bed could have been a little softer to my liking.
Good, basic accommodation. Located about a 15 or 20 minute walk to the east of the old city, but a less than 15 minute walk to the bus station, which is very convenient if you are using the bus. Very quiet, even though located near the airport. Nothing fancy, and very small bathroom, but certainly a reasonable place to stay for a night or two.

You have to leave the keys at the front desk any time you leave. That didn’t bother us, but some might not like it.
The location was perfect for an early morning ferry. We wanted to avoid getting a cab from the hotel to the ferry port and this hotel was just right for that. We went a little out of the way to avoid the staircase down to the port, which I highly recommend if you have lots of luggage. Hotel was basic, but clean and suited our purpose for a short stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The rooms are basic but unfortunately not very clean.
The position is great. Close to the airport and port. 20 minutes walking from the city center. Check in hours are flexible.

Missing amenities (hand towel, hair dryer), low water pressure, and an unusual shower tap. These weren't major issues for our one-night stay, especially since we had an early flight.

It is close to the airport so there is noise from the planes but was not bothersome.

We stayed there only one night as we had a very early flight. Very simple but if u just need a room for a night on budget it's enough. Staff was very friendly, room was clean, neighborhood is save. But be aware as it's close to the airport it's on the way of the flight route.

It looked like a hostel, the bathroom was from the 1960s and the shower was so small that we had to shower with the curtain open to fit (and we are small people). Breakfast was advertised but not provided in the morning. Airplane noises very loud!

I'd like a kettle and a cup to prepare coffee or tea.
I loved how clean the hotel was. It's an old style hotel, but maintained well. The staff is wonderful too. The location is alright because the airport and harbor are nearby.

The worst was the noise. The airport its really close so all the airplanes leaving Heraklion were passing over the hotel even at 2 am. The bed was a bit small (but I'm a big person) also the 2 days we stayed was veeeery windy so a lot of noise from the windows and the sign of the hotel. The breakfast was not great to be honest, greece is famous for its food but honestly it wasn't great. The hotel is an old one clean but old.
The best thing about the hotel is the situation it is 15 min walking from the center of Heraklion. The personnel was very nice and it was very very clean. There is a restaurant just in front of the hotel which it was veeery nice to have lunch or dinner.
