Some of the utilities were broken like towel hang and shower drain.

It was quite and nearby the Karfas beach owner was welcoming.

It’s in a very central yet peaceful location. The room has a perfect sea view and had all appliances you need. Effie is a very friendly and welcoming host, and she is available for all your questions. The bed was also very comfortable.

We had a wonderful time at Plaka Studios in Chios. The room is right next to the sea, and the view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful. It had everything we needed, and thanks to the refreshing sea breeze, the room stayed cool without needing the air conditioning (though it was available if needed). The hostess was incredibly kind and helpful — a true example of Greek hospitality. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful and scenic place to stay in Chios.

There was not a card to put on the door to ask for the room service/housekeeping. It would be easier if a card is hanging on the door. The view is amazing (I have to admit) but I am not sure if the price is worth on the given service.

The location and view are amazing. It takes 5-7 minutes to the center. Villages are also not far from there. I recommend renting a car for sure. You have no problem with parking. Lidl is also close if you want to do grocery shopping. The owner is such a nice and kind person. The staff is nice and smiley in general.

People are very friendly and helpful. It is in very peaceful neighbourhood and very close to beach. Rooms were cleaned everyday.

The only downside was that our room was very old; it would be great if the bathroom were renovated.

We stayed for 6 nights. The location is 5 km from the city center, which is very convenient if you have a car. The hotel owners are very helpful; they assisted us with many things. The room was cleaned every day.

We were so happy about our stay. Just one thing, the bathroom was small and needed renovation. But we did not care that much. If you are very selective about the bathrooms, be aware that it doesn't have the most modern design and ease of use.

Great location, great view. The owner Effie, she is a great person, has helped us a lot to get the most of our days on the island. She planned a two day trip for us with our rental car, great recommendations. Very considerate, aproachable and attentive.

The location, the room, the host...everything is amazing about plaka studios. It was like a summer house to me. The owner Effie and her family theay are all amazing. I travelled with my dog, we had the the time of our life. Very comfortable, we had everything we needed. I strongly recommend here.

One of the most beautiful sea view I've seen from a hotel room.Literally less than hundred steps from the room to the sea.Very clean rooms cleaned every day and most importantly very friendly host trying to help with everything.We'll be back for sure.

The owners are so polite and friendly. From the first day they made us feel like we were at home. The hotel is very close to Karfas Beach and 10 minutes with car to the Chios Center. You can always find parking place in front of the hotel. The sea view is amazing. Overall we love the hotel🤗

Where to start?! The room/apartment was great, the view unbelievable and the host and amazing loving person! Everything was there, enough sockets, clean towels quite often, the tidiness of the room was also really spot on. But something which blew our mind was the view, never had such an amazing view, and then also you even had your own pool, the natural pool of the sea! There was a stairs, and Effie realized a nice shower, so when the sea was calm you could enjoy relaxation in your own private sea :D

Security and Safety concerns were not taken seriously by management. Power issues they may have caused fire concerns and access issues, only providing one key for access for 4 adults. WiFi did not work at all. Electricity failed several times during our stay, loose wires in main fuse panel. Said it was fixed next day dropped again. Every single issue was met with argument and blame the customer. Refused to provide one extra key even though we were party of 4. Shower is tiny, rusty, ants throughout the property. Three different occasions we had to throw away groceries, minimally equipped, dollar store strainer and knife, we asked for the room to be cleaned, once very three days was the response. A party of 4 became party of three after one week, refused to offer a credit for the 4th individual although the cot was taken. Stayed 2 weeks, she gifted one bottle of water. For the same price we paid our traveling partners at Evangeline Apartments just up the street had daily maid service, water and fruit baskets, all members were given a key, fully equipped kitchen and china. WiFi that all 4 could stream on. One member of our party would go to their rental to do online office hours and never had an issue. Our last conversation after I had checked out on the way to the airport was I am getting the internet fixed. For two weeks we used roaming data. In short, they are an example of what has failed Greece, an old mentality that believes in they will be gone rather than let’s please them and bring them back. Do yourself a favor and avoid, look up Evangeline Studios in Karfas instead they were wonderful.

I give it 1 stars begrudgingly only because the location was very good but the facility and management were just absurd.

When we booked the owner told us we had to move half way thru our stay. Our total number of days there were 9. Huge inconvenience with children. This seemed to be a normal thing for them because even speaking with other travelers they had to move as well. The first apt we stayed at on the first floor was way below our expectations. Bathroom in both places smelled like urine. My kids hated using the bathroom. The first apt was dingy. many things needed touching up. paint, rust, kitchen sink area had black spots and peeling calk. Bathrooms had cracked tile and black spots. Bed material frame was peeling all over. We were messaged at one point because the kids were running around by the owner for them not to run around in the middle because the tiles were coming apart. When you looking at them there was a powder material coming out of the tiles. Kitchen did not have necessary amenities for travelers. No spatula but a frying pan???? Huge spoons and forks just odd. No napkins or paper roll. No kitchen towel? Pictures will explain everything. The place is nice maybe 10 years ago , concept is great. But no up keeping at all. If maintained would be great. The 2nd apt was slightly better, but balcony with huge air conditioner next to the table all rusted was not convenient to use I stated my complaints to the owner, and she was shocked and stated this is the first time she heard these complaints. I am not one to complain and live very simple but for the price and the pictures being deceiving and her response I would never stay there again. Maybe not on booking.com but on other travel sites the same things are stated and the same response from the owner. The people that stayed in our first apt cut there stay there short because they were truly disappointed. They lost there money and booked somewhere else. Even the grounds were dirty. Old jars and cans left outside, random shoes and clothes, No one swept the backside grounds.

The location was great, near restaurants and beach. Property faced the ocean but no where to get into water due to huge rocks
