We stayed at Urban Gem for a couple of nights before heading to Syros and we were so fortunate to find such a lovely Apartment! Tim and Nick have clearly put their heart and soul into this place... it really shows. They have great taste!!! 👌 Its in a very convenient place for exploring Athens via the metro across the street and if you are catching a ferry its 5 minute walk to the port. Its has a lift, it has great lication, its very clean, it's spacious, it has wonderful outside space.. its unique! ....... you could not ask for more! The balcony is amazing to relax on 😁 Thank you Nick and Tim... we highly recommend your lovely apartment

There wasn't anything we didn't like, but one thing others might want to be mindful of is the church bells on a Sunday morning. They're very loud. Saying that, the kids slept through the first round of bells.

Family of 4 stayed the night prior to a cruise. The location was excellent as it allowed us to get the metro from the airport to Dimotiko Theatro (one end of the line to the other) and a very short walk to the apartment. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and suggested a very local souvlaki place (highly recommended) for dinner and pointed out some bakeries and convenience stores. With 2 young children, the play park across the road was ideal too. The apartment itself was very well decorated and comfortable with all the amenities for a short or longer stay. Highlight for us was the balcony - it's huge and has a number of comfortable seats and areas to sit. Sitting out there having a beer in the evening was very relaxing while the kids were in bed. Taxi to the cruise port in the morning through the Freenow app was about €9. Wouldn't hesitate to book this place again if we're cruising from Piraeus.

I cannot recommend this apartment enough! It’s gorgeous. Well designed. Well located. The hosts are incredible. Both Tim and Nikos were SO helpful and patient. Loved!

The property itself is amazing and I would come back again. The area is a little loud but I think that’s just everywhere here

Location is fantastic. Lots of shops and restaurants and a quick walk to the harbour where there are bus stops and transit to get wherever you need to go balcony was superb!!!

I have no idea why I thought this had a view of the harbor, but that was totally my mistake. It probably would have been too windy so the terrace looking over the neighborhood with view of beautiful church and location was much better than the harbor. Harbor was more industrial.

The number one thing we liked was our wonderful greeting from Nick. He was so kind and gave us all instructions for the stay. You could tell a lot of care went into the furnishings and the outside terrace was amazing. What always makes a place exceed expectations is the coffee. We had options for Nespresso/Keurig or a pot of coffee. The ground coffee for the pot was high quality. Beds were so comfortable after jet lag and neighborhood walk to marina for dinner was quaint. Wonderful stay and we hope to come back. Thanks.

Very friendly staff, issue with the internet that was resolved immediately. The only downside is the size of the bathroom. While the shower is fine the toilet and sink area is very very small.

I didn't like leaving

The hosts were amazing. When you come from Australia, you want the process to be simple....and it was. The unit is a penthouse with great views, massive verandah and all the mod cons you could want. The location was brilliant....Metro, tram and several cafes across the road, and walking distance to ports and several great restaurants.

Location was great! Tim was very kind and helped us so much! He gave advices for restaurants and where to visit, and was always very warm that we never hesitated to ask him questions.. The metro statiın ( Dimotri Theatre- the last stop of M3 metro from airport) was only 2 minute walk away from the apartment..

Awesome coffee machine and starter supplies thanks for 110% a small milk starter to go with the coffee would be fabulous and save a trip to the shops.

Lovely deck. Has a lift for 7th floor bags and people. Lots of extra touches and efforts made much appreciated.

It would be difficult if you have young kids who need help in the bathroom. The bathroom is not big enough for two people, but that is expected.

This truly is a gem. The balcony is unreal and it was nice to have two separate bedrooms for our family after several nights of sharing rooms. We were able to walk from the ferry. There is also a playground right across the street, where we ate dinner while our daughter played. Great stay!
