No shade from the sun on the balcony. Not really a pool area where you’d stay for long, more of a quick dip.

Hotel Philip is in a spectacular position with amazing views. The room and balcony were both large and comfortable. The staff were grand welcoming.

The hotel is located on the edge of town with excellent views and plenty of private parking spaces opposite. The room had all we needed. The bed was comfortable and the patio was great to watch the sunset from. Breakfast was amazing- a huge selection of different food plates were bought to the table - we struggled to finish it all. The pool isn't huge but perfect enough for a dip to cool off in at the end of the day or to lay on one of the few loungers and enjoy the views with a drink in hand. We had read other reviews that the hotel is up hill from the centre of town which is true but we managed OK (both of us are relatively fit and didn't attempt it during the heat of the day). We did see others get dropped off in taxis so this is another option.

Too steep a road down into town to comfortably walk back. Had to use the car but it wasn’t a problem as Pylos has 2 central carparks.

The hotel has the most amazing view. We had the pool terrace and pool to ourselves all 3 days. Great breakfast and very attentive staff. Room exceeded our expectations and was bigger than most we have previously stayed in. Location is quiet even though it’s on the road side. Free parking too.

Unfortunately despite all the signs a previous guest had been smoking in the room, and when we walked in there was a strong smell of tobacco. This is our reason for marking down cleanliness as otherwise everywhere was spotless. Chairs on the balcony were a bit uncomfortable and a tea towel in the kitchen would be a good idea.

Hotel was in a quiet location on the hill above the town of Pylos looking out to sea. We had a budget room which meant our view was slightly restricted but it was still superb with the sunset straight ahead. Communal areas in the hotel were tastefully furnished and our room was a good size with a big comfortable bed and pillows. Sadly we only stayed one night but would definitely return.

The hotel is very nicely located with an amazing view over the bay. The room is big and comfortable, with a spacious balcony. The pool is amazing and you get to enjoy your drink and swim with an amazing view.

No car - no fun. If you ever decide to walk from the hotel to the "city center" - forget it. Or maybe I`ve become too lazy.

This is the best place to stick and travel around. The view on the bay is awsome! Sunset happens just opposite your balcony and you have few minutes more in comparison with the people on the road. Btw, there is viewpoint with a telescope just next to the hotel parking what explains its perfect location. Where to go? Huge number of places worth to visit! 2 waterfalls in 30 mins drive (WITH water). Famous Βοϊδοκοιλιά and Χρυσή Άμμος for swimming and watching for turtles. Awesome castle ΜεΘώνης, and these are just some of places on top of my head. Breakfast, dinner - no questions. Tasty! Personnel is friendly and pleasant to talk to.

Noisy neighbors! I wish others would be quiet closing the room doors and talking or walking around. Others may be sleeping/ resting🫨🤐😜 Oh, the pool needs 2-4 more sun-beds🙃
