Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyThe location is very good, in a quiet quarter, easy to reach to city center and seaside. Staff is kind and helpfull. Clean hotel. It has good balcony to drink a coffe. We stayed in this hotel twice. If you come by car you can park your car easily in front of the hotel.

GreeceThe soundproofing was non existing: you could practically hear anything that was going on in the corridor or in the near rooms. Take that into account when you stay there, if you want privacy better stay quiet! The hotel clearly needs renovation, it is an old building who is kept clean and functional by the owners. I would like, though, a few more amenities in the room, e.g. there were only two outlets, one of them near the floor away from the bed! Also, no room for dinner for two inside, you have to use the balcony weather permitting. Otherwise you have to improvise. As I said, not a choice for luxury, but for the average traveler who wants to visit around.
It was the second time I stayed at the hotel, about a year ago I was with my wife, now all the family was there. It is almost the same as I remembered it, with parking freely available (not many places available but lots of free space nearby), ideal to move around Thessaloniki with local transport, and a very nice breakfast buffet. The rooms large enough to accommodate two persons, but only that. For people who want to visit around places, a very good choice. Not for those who seek luxury, however. And the price was reasonable under the current prices. All in all a very nice experience, definitely recommended for the travelers who like to use it as a base for visiting various attractions and places, even outside Thessaloniki.

I like it here. Quite place. Very pleasant during hot summer nights. Overlooking the pine trees and Thessalloniki bay. Some good restorants in in the area. Had a good rest. Beds are comfy. Our room had a lot of windows with moscito nets, so it was very pleasent temperature, althou it's mid of July.

BulgariaThey were renovating the floor beneath us and it was very noisy. I guess when the renovation is over, it would be ok again.
It was overall ok. The breakfast was ok, satisfying variety. The view from the terrace was very nice.

GreeceThe floor in the room is so worn that it appears really old and gives bad impression (room 315). The chair to sit at the table provided old, hard, legs spread out, terrible! The coffee at breakfast not real, made from powder, not hot, most kinds of coffee exactly the same (no real difference between filter, americano or esspreso, just mix from powder mixed with hot water by the machine). Some of the good food served was taken by earlier customers so the plates lay empty and I could not taste of what might have been great food. Those plates lay empty throughout the time I was there.
Good bed, good bathroom. Reasonably good breakfast (above average), but lacking in detail that makes the difference, and quality of coffee (not real coffee). Good staff interaction, friendly etc.

GreeceThe bed was a bit old, so not that comfortable but I've slept on worse. The breakfast was pretty weak, the coffee in particular was terrible.
Front desk staff was friendly, the price was reasonable considering the cost of hotels in and near the center. Free parking was also very convenient.

GreeceThe room is not very clean and the breakfast is poor. I expected much better for its price. The check out when i booked the room by BOOKING.COM says 12:00 and i asked the receptionist and told me that was 11:00.
The room is large with balcony with excellent view to the forest nearby. Good bathroom with good towels. Quiet neighbourhood and 24 hours reception.

Czech RepublicIt would be better had the breakfast been offering a bit more options. The location is not easy to find, therefore, having a navigation or a taxi driver should be a solution.
A small cosy hotel in the area well known by the locals. There is a lovely fish taverna within 7min walking distance from the hotel. The Receptionist lady recommended me the venue and it was really good. The room was small but all clean and cosy.

SerbiaTo be fair, it is an old hotel located in a nice and safe suburb of Thessaloniki, situated uphill and surrounded by pine trees. The distance from the city center is about 20 minutes by car, give or take, depending on traffic, and around 15 minutes from Kalamaria. The facilities are old, and the rooms are more or less renovated. There is a slight smell coming from the bathroom sewer. The walls are quite thin, so you can hear everything. However, the bathroom is comfortably sized. The room was cleaned daily. The one we stayed in was small, but since we only used it overnight, it was sufficient. The breakfast was fair—nothing extraordinary. It seemed like they served pastries from Lidl, and there was a little bit of everything available. Overall, the hotel is not expensive or uncomfortable, but it’s far from superb. We noticed many business travelers staying there. The reception was open when we arrived, and they also allowed us to check out a little later, which was appreciated.
