Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyThere's only one problem, and we don't know if it can be called a problem: the smell of food wafting from the restaurants for an hour or two in the evening. That's the perk of being in the center.
It's right in the center of Pythagoras, with no hills or stairs to worry about. It's just two steps from restaurants, a bakery, a market, the beach, and a very sweet host. It's a peaceful stay in a hotel surrounded by greenery.

TurkeyWe loved everything about this place. Location, comfort, facilities in the room (especially the plate of freshly made cake) and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Location is excellent, just a 1 minute walk to the seafront. The room was spacious with a hairdryer, air con and a fridge. We loved our little balcony where we sat drinking our tea in the mornings.

TurkeyI wish there was a mosquito net on the door.
Chrisis was the best host ever! 🩷 She was so welcoming and sweet, she made sure everything was ok with my stay. The Pension's location is the best. The room was very comfortable and felt so natural as you can see beautiful flowers and trees. It had everything I needed, even a mosquito repeller liquid :) If you ever hear a creepy noise it is probably a cat visiting you! 😸

NetherlandsThe water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but you could still take a shower perfectly fine.
The location was perfect! Right in the lively city centre of Pythagoreion, with all the nice shops, beaches, restaurants and cafes on walking distance. The room was very spacious and clean. Chrisiis was the loveliest host, super friendly and very accomodating!

AustraliaVery nicely located one row back, at the centre of the main waterfront of Pythagorean. My comfortable room, with a neat little balcony and all essential comforts, was perfect for a solo traveller like me and would do nicely for a couple. The property as a whole is quite charming, and surrounded by eating places, shops of all types, bakeries and small supermarkets. It’s a very short trip from Samos airport, and only about 10-15 minutes Samos (Vathy) ferry port. Best of all is the warm welcome and cheerful hospitality of our lady host Chrissis, and her affable husband. In a land of warm-hearted people, she and he still stand out. I wished I had booked for longer.

NorwayDue to the central location, no street noise apart from occasional loud motorcycles, but a little noisier in the evening due to the restaurants nearby, especially on Saturdays. A garden restaurant as a direct neighbour with occasional food smells from a vent above the grill. The bathroom was very small and simply equipped with only cold water at the sink and a small instantaneous water heater for the shower. Definitely not for lovers of large bathrooms with super showers. None of this bothered us and we still slept well with the balcony door open.
Location in the centre of Pythagoreio in a side street. The nearest grocery shop is less than 100 metres away, and the harbour promenade is also only about 100 metres away. Lots of greenery and well-tended plants. The landlady is very friendly and helpful. You can tell that she cares about the satisfaction of her guests. The room and bathroom were very clean and were thoroughly cleaned every day, there were new towels every 3 days and the beds were freshly made. There was a fridge, coffee machine and kettle in the room, as well as a small pantry kitchen. We were accommodated in studio 203 with a pleasantly large balcony facing west with a view of a large rubber tree. Sun there in the afternoon and evening. There was a smart TV in the room with Netflix and BBC, otherwise only Greek TV programmes. We only used the air conditioning briefly once, it is effective and sufficiently quiet. The two house cats were trusting and the red tomcat visited us in the room a few times to keep us company.

A very beautiful building with pleasant flowers and leaves and cats, also close to the main road, the sea, restaurants, supermarket, post office and bakeries. We enjoyed our breakfast (bought from the bakeries) in the balcony every morning. The hostess lady is so warm and friendly.

AustraliaPension Felipe is a really charming, lovely place to stay in Pythagorion. It’s very central, and the host Chrisiis is lovely and very helpful. We especially loved the balcony in our room, which had beautiful plants (like a lot of the property!) The shower was very quick to heat up which is always appreciated! Loved our stay here and would definitely return.

Charming pension, room and owners. We loved our secluded balcony looking onto the beautiful garden. The location was perfect for shopping, restaurants and beach but also very quiet. A good bakery and mini market were very close. Rooms cleaned daily and had a plug for the shower drain when not in use to stop any drain smell. Great value for money, totally recommend.

SwedenI've stayed at pension Felippe twice, and I am so delighted. I just love the balcony (on the first floor) it's nicely shaded by vegetation all day. The bed is very comfortable as well as the pillows, I wanted to take them home with me ;). Chrisiis is such a warm and kind and thoughtful hostess, you feel very welcome. It is also spotlessly cleaned every day. I will choose Felippe again next time I return to lovely Pythagorion.
