Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyGood location and amazing view. The hotel is small but very good — very clean and well maintained. It can be a bit challenging without a car, due to the steep road down to Agia Pelagia and the uphill walk back. The rooms are a good size — in fact, it's more accurate to describe them as apartments, as each has its own entrance from outside. The highlight is definitely sitting on your own little terrace, enjoying the stunning view. There is a shared area with a swimming pool, which is also clean and cosy. There’s a small dining area for breakfast and lunch — again, clean and cosy. Breakfast was quite good.

United KingdomPool towels were not available until the afternoon
The hotel and breakfast exceeded our expectations. The room even had a small kitchen area, kettle and fridge etc for your convenience. The hotel buildings were all low rise, yet each had large balconies to appreciate the lovely view.

PolandThe smell in the bathroom was not the best.
The hotel has a beautiful view, but you have to keep in mind that beaches are not that close. The way is challenging physically, especially when it's hot. The hotel is really calm and quiet. No parties which was an advantage for us. The pool was clean and really refreshing. If you need additional towel, you can rent it. The room was small, but there was everything we needed. Breakfasts really tasty with traditional ingredients!

United KingdomThe apartment was a good size for a family with a massive bathroom. I would prefer a smaller bathroom and bigger living space. As any hotel there was no washing machine, I would like a laundry service though. It's a very good hotel for short stays.
Staff were very friendly and polite, hotel was clean with great views and served good food at reasonable prices. Swimming pool was clean and comfortable. Espresso maker in the room came in extremely useful!

Greece- The swimming pool is smaller than it appears in the hotel photos. - The air-condition unit was quite old and noisy, so we had to turn it off to sleep. - Inside the bedroom there was no power outlet (socket) except one behind the bed making it difficult to use. - Be aware that the hotel will request your credit card details during check-in
- The hotel is situated on a cliff, offering breathtaking views of the sea and Agia Pelagia village. - Next to the pool there's a small grassy area where you can relax during the day. - The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options. - The staff were generally polite and eager to assist. - Our room was spacious and clean. - There is a spacious parking area adjacent to the hotel where you can park for free.

PortugalBeaches are not nearby, so you'll probably need a car to move around. But you have the town beaches at 20 minutes walk.
The staff is extremely nice, warm and helpful. They helped us with renting a car and so many other recommendations. Views are stunning. Swimming pool is very nice. And the bar has great options and excellent service.

CuraçaoIt’s really a pity that the hotel doesn’t offer dinner anymore, there are 2 restaurants within 5-7min walk, but the walk is steep to go back. The other options are about 15-20min walk down to the beach, doable to go down during the day, exhausting and dangerous to go back up at night.
The whole staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, whether to organise tours, booking taxis, lending me a charger when mine broke… also reachable at almost any hour and always answering very promptly when I sent messages via the app. The hotel is very nice, with a beautiful view over the bay, small units arranged around a big swimming pool, the breakfast/lunch terrace is well shaded and allow the wind to cool you off. The Breakfast had a large choice of sweet and savory items, also vegetarian and vegan. The room was clean and well maintained during our stay.

FinlandWe loved the tranquility and the location, but the hotel is located way up the mountain, whereas the restaurants are on the beach - this might be an issue for people who don't have cars and don't feel like having a long walk.. The village "centre" itself was quiet in May.
The views were absolutely stunning and the hotel was clean, modern, and beautiful. The breakfast was one of the best ones we had during our trip around Crete. All in all every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations in every way; we are not the type of people who visit the same hotel twice, but we might consider returning to Pela Mare!
