How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeing in a bad location the best thing was thankfully a shuttle that took you down to the town but this come at a cost of being tied to certain times which limits your daily activities
Pool was filthy not maintained AT ALL. I can not get over how RUDE the driver of the bus was to us/is. He single handedly ruined our stay. We received a frosty reception from the moment we arrived. The old guy can not speak a word of English so when you're asking for something he gets frustrated with you a shoos you away (despite the fact I also translated in greek he didn't want to know) On our last day we kindly asked the driver (who shuttles you to the town) if we could stay on the shuttle with a mother and daughter whom we met as they were on the way to the airport (as were we) and he practically chucked our cases off the coach and told us he wouldn't take us. We would have offered him money but he didn't give us chance. Would never stay here again.
We normally do not respond to customer comments, but this time it is different. The customer had an inappropriate behavior as he walked around the public areas without a shirt, in an attempt to show off his body. Also, once he brought a drink from the room to use it in the hotel bar. In the recommendations of staff members to comply with the hotel rules, his response was ironic and derogatory. Regarding « the old guy », who by the way is the boss of the hotel, we must say that he does not know well English , but he speaks other foreign languages, as he has been professionally active in other countries. It would be interesting, if the gentlemen who wrote the review could inform us what other language besides English do they speak ? And lastly regarding the airport transfer the normal procedure is, that a customer who wishes to book this should go to the reception and arrange it. The practice of trying to bribe the driver or give him something to achieve the goal, does harm to his dignity. All the above acts and behaviors , are reminiscent of colonial practices and lack of respect towards the employees and the other customers. Of course It is everyone's right to choose where to spend their vacation, but it is not at all wise to try to create a story by presenting things from our own perspective.

Verified reviewLocation stunning views, family run nothing too much trouble. Pool, room very clean. Breakfast plentiful. Despite the location hillside they regularly run mini buses to Skiathos town or end of road. Local bus service every 15 minutes. We stayed 2 nights and great stop over for connecting ferries & flights.
Perfect

Verified reviewHotel Paradise is a beautiful family hotel that offers an unforgettable experience for all generations, with stunning natural beauty and exceptionally friendly staff. The team is incredibly warm, helpful, and professional, and this is reflected in every detail of their service. The rooms are impeccably clean, equipped with high-quality pillows, cotton blankets, and fresh linens and towels, ensuring a restful stay. Each room also features a balcony with a spectacular view of the surrounding area, providing a true feast for the eyes, while the air conditioning ensures total comfort. One of the hotel's standout features is its spacious dining room with a terrace that offers a magnificent view of the pool and lush green surroundings. The terrace is surrounded by vibrant plants and flowers, creating a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Below the terrace, you'll find a well-maintained pool with comfortable sunbeds, where you can either relax in the sun or enjoy food and drinks, as the staff serves guests by the pool as well. Since the hotel is somewhat off the main road, and the access involves a steep path, they've thoughtfully arranged free shuttle services to station no. 4, from where you can easily reach Skiathos town and other stops of the local bus that runs along the entire coast of the island. If you're looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in an idyllic setting, I highly recommend Hotel Paradise. You’ll be charmed!
