Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGood location, just a few minutes down walk to the beach. Welcoming and friendly owner who ensure the room is cleaned and sheets changed daily. Not sure about the shared kitchen as it wasn't pointed out to us but we had a fridge and some crockery. Best suited if planning on eating out or need to keep some food chilled in the fridge. We enjoyed Poros as it was less touristy which suited us.

United KingdomWe can't find a single negative thing to say about the hotel and already plan to visit again.
I came back to Greece after 40, years hoping to find that something remains of the place and people that I'd grown to love. My wife and I found it here at this wonderful little hotel run by Effie and her mum Zoi. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in charm and character. Our room was basic, but clean, comfortable had everything we needed including air conditioning and wi-fi, and a private terrace with a sea view. We hadn't booked breakfast in advance but decided to take it in. Every morning we enjoyed a simple Greek breakfast of coffee, bread, cheese and yoghurt with honey served by Zoi with laughter as we tried to understand each other in Greek and English. If you want a genuine Greek experience, this is the place for you!

Austria—
Amazing location, right by the beach in a very small and quite village. It’s not to touristy, but there are still enough tavernas and also bars in walking distance. The room itself was practical but had all whats needed (eg. airconditioning, fridge, kettle, storage). The highlight of the room was definitely the amazing terrasse with sea view. The host, Effi, is an angel. Not only did she clean the rooms everyday but she also made us feel at home. We had troubles getting a car for rent, so she fixed us up with options what to to and how to get around the island.

United KingdomThe location of place is great. Close to the sea, near local restaurants and shops. Beautiful balcony overlooking the sea with sun rise in the morning. The room was clean and looked after daily, communication with the host was good and felt welcome. While we had no kitchenette in the room, just the fridge and crockery, there is a comunal kitchen were we made coffee, which was perfect. Very pleasent place and would definitely return.

United Kingdomnothing!
The hostess is an amazing lovely woman, who warmly welcomed us in the middle of the night, as our flight was delayed and we were very late, we truly appreciate it! Also, the room was cleaned every day and bed sheets chaged too, we had a beautiful big terrace with the sea view. Air con was working perfectly and it saved us during the hot nights. It’s maybe not a fancy, but nonetheless a brilliant, family runned place to stay if you are in Poros. The beach is 2 mins walk, cafes and restaurants from 2 to 10 mins walk too. As we prefer staying further from touristic places, we were very satisfied with the location. We truly loved and enjoyed our stay!🫶🏻

United KingdomNothing. It was all perfect. Especially for the price.
I've already posted a review, as it was so good that I stayed for another week; so, I'll just say that Efy and her extremely hard-working mother made this stay more pleasant that I could ever have expected. Good sized room that couldn't get any cleaner. There was a private bathroom, and I enjoyed a large terrace, too. It's in a quiet area, and yet not too far from the livelier part of town, supermarkets; and the main square from where the bus drops you off from Argostoli (5-Euros) (700m to hotel) but above all of that, it's closest to the cleanest beach.

United KingdomThere's 'nothing' that I didn't like. Anything that I thought was missing that might help me was provided. The Savoy or the Dorchester would have struggled to find what I needed, and amazingly, Efy and the whole family achieved it. I was very happy with everything. This is far better than a one-star hotel; so, for the money that I paid, I am extremely happy. It was perfect.
I liked everything. This family-run hotel couldn't be run any better. Everyone works so hard to help meet your requirements and expectations. You forget that this is only classed as a 1-star hotel, but that's only probably because of the lack of certain facilities, as it's far better than some of the 3 and 4-star hotels that I've stayed-in prior-to this trip. The location. Perfect. Just set-back, and only a road away from the coastal beach road, which ends when the beach does; so, there's not much traffic here anyway. A few minutes' walk and you're at the beach. Another 500-metres walk and there's the cheapest, newest and best supermarket. I only noticed this supermarket near the end of my trip, when the two others (in the old part of town) were closed; and I wished that I wasn't so blind, as it had more variety and cost less than the other two supermarkets. Hint: Look for the red sign by 'the bridge' to guide you. Transport. Just beyond 'the bridge' is also the main thoroughfare in and out of Poros. The bus travels through here from Argostoli. Cost 5 Euros. Airport to Argostoli was 2 Euros. May 2024. Hint: Look for a building that says "M.K. Buildings and you'll know you've reached the right part of Poros for Hotel Galini. Nothing else is too far away from here. The port is about the furthest that I walked; (as I'm partially-blind) where the ferry departs from; (Levante.gr) for onward travel beyond Poros. Poros is shielded all around by rocky hills where you can walk up-to heights of about 2000-feet. It's as if Poros has just had a road-width of rock removed to be-able-to build the town. It's 'all' close. It's a very clean hotel. Constantly clean. It's a well-cared-for hotel. Pruned, swept etc... I also had a comfortable new bed and 2 types of pillow. See what's listed to see if what's included satisfies your needs.

United KingdomJust to note, the terrace on the lower floor is only separated from the next room by a railing so it’s not very private. I had friendly neighbours so it wasn’t a problem.
Excellent value for money. Good facilities including fridge and TV. Small but adequate en suite. Huge terrace with sea view. I only met the owner as I was leaving but she was very nice and said I could have had a later check-out if I’d needed it.
