Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LatviaAs we are used to small, soft pillows, we would have loved to have had them for even better rest.
We loved the spacious traditional apartment. It has a pretty large and very cute yard. It also has a rooftop to sit at and enjoy breakfast, sunset or stunning night views. Close to Pyrgos Kastella and bus stop. Things like coffee, milk, juice, bread and sweet treats were provided. Very kind and friendly owner, pleasant communication. We definitely recommend!

CanadaOur four night stay in the cave house was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Our host Dimitra was very accommodating and always available by text. Great location and bus access to other villages. Plenty of restaurants and great food nearby. Great views and sunsets from our elevated rooftop. We absolutely loved this place and were sad to leave!

JapanNone. We will surely come back! We Highly recommend this place!
If there’s one place that truly stole our hearts during our entire Europe trip, it’s Olyra—a dreamy, traditional cave house tucked into the magical cliffs of Santorini. Out of all the accommodations we had across several countries, this was the BEST by far. From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like we were transported to another world—a happy, peaceful paradise carved in stone and bathed in golden light. The vibe? Absolutely magical. Think: soft, curved walls, local touches, and the kind of cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever. Every morning we’d wake up to stunning views, warm sunshine, and a calmness that just can’t be described—it has to be felt. And don’t even get us started on the sunsets! What truly made Olyra special was the owner—such a warm, kind, and welcoming soul who made us feel right at home from the start. Every detail of the place was thoughtfully crafted with love and care. If you’re headed to Santorini, stop searching—book Olyra now. It’s more than a place to stay—it’s a full-on Greek fairytale experience. We’ll be dreaming of it until we return. 💙

Czech Republic-
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful traditional cave house. We went to Pyrgos specifically off-season for their Good Friday festivities. Usually, I go to Santorini towards the end of the season and stay in Perissa - which is by the beach and slightly better connected. However, Pyrgos off-season gives you a better idea of the traditional Santorini life as it once may have been. This accommodation is located very centrally in Pyrgos close to one of its iconic churches. It's roomy and comes with all the amenities you can ask for and more. Our host Dimitra has an attention to detail like no-one else. She even provided us with some basic food supplies, and gave us a present in the form of an Easter basket for the occasion. We loved every minute of our stay, and would certainly come back, should we visit the island again in the off-season. I'd give 6 stars if I could - it really was this good and exceptional!

CanadaI little hard to find parking ( we had a car) but I think it’s would be everywhere in Santorini.
It’s amazing. We loved all details . We didn’t expect daily cleaning, snacks for breakfast and water was a pleasant surprise. Dimitra was excellent host. She met us to welcome in her family property. 5+++ I would strongly recommend that property.

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn’t like at all
Very beautiful and interesting property having served as the Bakery in the past. Very attractive and authentic design in this traditional cave house. I loved the atmosphere which was welcoming and inviting and just made me want to stay. The host was the kindest and most welcoming I have had the pleasure to visit with . If you are staying in Pyrgos you will not be disappointed with your stay here. Additionally milk, juice, water and range of tea, coffee and snacks were offered. Daily housekeeping with fresh linen and towels. I cannot ask for anything more and will return.

GreeceI honestly can't think of anything.
Dimitras' accommodation was one of the highlights of our stay. The actual cave house we stayed in was perfectly renovated but was simultaneously authentic to its past. There is nothing I can think of that was missing in the house, maybe only that the internet connection was a bit intermittent. We absolutely loved the front yard, spacious with several sitting spots perfect for different parts the the day, not to mention the terrace with deckchairs for winding down and sunset watching. There are a couple of cats that like hanging out in the yard too, very well-behaved and thankful for a few biscuits - hopefully they will be sterilized ;) Dimitra was on hand for anything we needed, she went over and above. We only stayed for 4 nights, but on the second day she topped up our orange juice supply and basic snacks too, which I was very surprised by!

AustraliaEverything - could not fault it.. We feel like the luckiest people to have stay at Olyra. The review is long but so are the things to compliment so by all means keep reading but book it now - don’t wait! Firstly the hosts communication was impeccable, she offered to assist us with an airport transfer which was greatly appreciated. We were met in the Pyrgos square by a lovely young man who helped us with our bags the short walk to our accommodation and showed us the place. The stay included breakfast items which were greatly appreciated. As luck would have it they had an extreme wind event which caused a few hours without power. The host was checking on us straight away and continually. The highlight by far was the stunning property. It was comfortable and homely and absolutely breathtaking and traditional. The young man told us the house used to serve as the bakery for the village and it felt like living history we had the privilege to stay at. The walk through the town was charming and breathtaking, the cats were a charming addition and the minimart down the street had all essentials for us considering some restaurants were closed during off season. If we ever came back to Santorini it would be to Pyrgos and never leave! Thankyou.

United StatesIt’s a bit of a climb, but the whole town is a bit of a climb, filled with winding streets, alleys and interesting nooks.
The cave house was charming, nicely appointed with pots, pans and food. It also had an easy to get to roof for stargazing.
