Amazing view of the village, harbour and sea from our terrace and from the taverna. Delicious food with excellent service by friendly Nicholas, Alex and their team. Great rooms in a great location in the port including for exploring nearby coves and beaches.

The location is the best in Fiscardo, best views of the entire harbour. Alex and his father made sure that every one enjoyed the best attention at all times as well as the best food and service at their on sight restaurant. They even serve breakfast, by the smells that reached our room it must have been wonderful.

That we did not stay longer!

The place was fantastic, like a bout dominating the sea. The Fiskardo harbour was at our feet, the sea view was mind-blowing and the welcome by our hosts was great with a lot of precious advices. The taverna (restaurant) meals were delicious !

The beds could be a little more confortable.

Staying for just one night as we wanted to have a night in Fiskardo whilst staying elsewhere on the island Really friendly greeting on arrival. The room was as expected, basic but clean and comfortable but the view and location were 5Star. We also ate at the restaurant and absolutely loved it.Would definitely book again for an overnight stay on my next trip to Kefaloni.

The view from the balcony was superb, convenient having an on site taverna which served good food.

We were in an attic room, it was panelled in dark wood making it quite dark. The walls were so thin that you could hear everything being said and done in the room next door as if they were in the room with you

I always make my reviews balanced and so I will start with what was positive about our experience of Nicolas Rooms, The view from the room is brilliant as you can sit and watch the boats and super yachts trying to moor up in the bay. It is also really helpful to be able to park your car outside of the accommodation as otherwise it would be difficult for those with more than a back pack, It is only a short walk into the bustle of the port. This is budget accommodation for Fiscardo so you cannot expect any frills and there are certainly none here. We viewed the room online so were aware that the room was basic and that it had a sloped roof and was not suitable for tall people however the pitch of the roof is so harsh that I had to bend in half to go to the bathroom, (and I am not tall). The wardrobe is under the eaves and therefore you cannot put dresses etc in there or they would get dirty on the floor. The bathroom again is small and difficult to stand up in except for the shower area, and this does not look as if it has changed since the 1970’s complete with nylon curtains. To be fair, the whole room except for the bed which I estimate is from the 1990’s, the patio door and air con, I presume has not changed since then. I would also echo some of the other reviews who comment on the lack of insulation which means that you can hear everything being said in the next room, (I believe from a review in 2023 that management were going to look into methods of remedying this but do not seem to have managed it). We were unlucky enough on the first night to have loud fellow guests who arrived back at 3:00am in the morning and continued to party meaning hardly any sleep on day one. The cleaner comes in and puts the sheet on the bed and also washes the cups but significantly ensures the air con is switched off meaning you return in the evening to a sauna. We had to ask for more towels as we were only given one for bathing and two small hand towels.

There is also a sign on the back of the door saying that if they consider that you have misused their towels they will charge them to the room which is not very welcoming. By the way I took photos of the perfectly clean bedding and towels in situ before writing this review as I have seen some of the responses others have got if they are not fully complimentary. The pillows were like bullets and though I like a firm mattress this was like concrete. I must say that after hearing the host dismiss another resident couple who wished to eat the in the taverna that night, my husband and I decided not to eat there and so cannot comment on the quality or ambience of such, although walking through one night on the way to the room seeing two rather more comfortable sized staff taking off their shirts at end of service did not encourage me. I have to give a shout out to the fully clothed member of staff who took the time to show us part of his collection as this was very hospitable. Overall I can only comment on room 5 but do feel that this is not a standard of room which holds up to modern scrutiny and wonder if rooms 5 and 6 should be merged and the useable part of room 5 used as an en-suite while the other used as storage. As we had travelled to other accommodation on Kefalonia on this trip with a similar price and found though basic if was modern and comfortable I feel able to comment that I do not feel that the standard of accommodation here warrants the price tag.

Best views in Fiskardo & the family that run it was very friendly and helpfully. The location is great as it’s very close to the port town but not in the l part which can be very busy during the season. There is parking at the hotel which is great as parking can be tricky around the port

Nothing, it is what you would expect from a 3 star hotel with stunning views.

The family who own the accomadation greeted us when we arrived, they were such a lovely. The hotel is right on the beach, say 5min walk up a hill fine for us. We had the top attic room good for us but if you were tall you would have to be careful. Apart from that excellent

    All good

Location is the best in fiskardo The family are so friendly and accommodating

Unfortunately we had the room above the kitchen (4) and the late night passionate chats they had (2am!) disturbed our sleep on half of the 7 nights.this was our only complaint

The room and bathroom are very old. Does anyone still use the shower curtain? The refrigerator does not work. All electrical appliances are plugged into an extension cord.
