It was such a great experience. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, and the staff is extremely friendly. The whole atmosphere is calm, relaxing, and quiet—perfect for unwinding. The spa is amazing and staff very helpful, definitely a highlight of the stay. The location is about 1 hour from Heraklion, but honestly you don’t really need to leave the resort—it’s designed for quality time away from stress. At the same time, it’s only a 10-minute ride to the port, where you can find a few nice cafés and restaurants. Overall, it’s the perfect place if you want to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful holiday.

I compare everything with last year as we stayed their last year too: Prices increased of course, as everywhere, but i remarked that some portions of food dicreased in quantity, for example: the Greek salad became smaller as last year in Fish Restaurant; the same for Octopus; for the rest, everything was so paradise

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Very welcoming and professional staff, a great variety at breakfast and very good food in all restaurants. They built a new spa which out of universe. Definitely, will come back to this hotel

I personally did not like the design of the bathroom, especially in the suit. The sinks are high however the shelves are very low, it is just inconvenient to use. There are not enough light in the rooms as well. Toilet paper is on the backside of the wall which is the most irrational place to put it on, my humble opinion (I believe side wall should be used). Seems like a designer tried to make a fashionable thing but hardly thought about practical usage. We face big cockroaches several times which is quite uncomfortable.

The place is beautiful, a bit isolated, has it is own beach which makes our stay so calm and comfort. I also would like to mention that dinners are amazing. We have tried buffet several times and it was beyond our expectations. Additionally I would love to give a special thanks and a moment of appreciation to Mariana who was very attentive to our needs and remarks. She upgraded our room and that was very nice because we had an issue with the wind and a balcony door.

Despite high expectations - this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We are used to staying at amazing places, but this is by far the best hotel we’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, the surroundings are stunning, and it truly feels like paradise. The staff are the most friendly and welcoming people you could imagine – they made us feel at home from the very first moment. We would definitely come back without hesitation. The gym was outside and quite small/limited. We would have loved a bigger and air conditioned gym available to all hotel guests. It would have been nicer if the wellness facilities included an actual sauna instead of/ in addition to the infrared sauna. The cold plunge is awesome, but a sauna would make it possible to do sweat and cold plunge cycles.

We really enjoyed our stay at Minos Palace! The location is fantastic with a private beach, the gardens are very beautiful and well kept, and the breakfast and dinner buffets are really good. We loved the yoga classes and the wellness treatments and facilities. We usually like to explore during our holidays but this time we stayed at the hotel all the time except a quick diving trip. We are definitely considering coming back again for a relaxing break!

One thing we found curious was the contrast in staff attitude. Groundskeepers, cleaning staff, and other support personnel were consistently warm, smiling, and polite. Meanwhile, the reception staff were surprisingly unwelcoming — their attitude felt cold and distracted, often chatting or laughing among themselves while guests waited. Room service requests handled through reception also left us with a poor impression. The only exception was at check-out, when one staff member was truly professional and kind.

We recently stayed at Minos Palace Resort and booked two rooms: one Sunrise Sea View Room in the main building and one Bungalow Sea View. The room in the main building was clearly more modern, likely renovated, but unfortunately quite noisy. On the other hand, the bungalow was the complete opposite: extremely peaceful, with a breathtaking view and a high level of privacy. Cleanliness was impeccable, though the room showed signs of wear and would definitely requires renovation. Breakfast was excellent, with high-quality food served in a beautifully designed space and on a stunning terrace overlooking the sea. The food in the resort’s restaurants was equally delicious, and the service throughout the dining areas was flawless. Overall, Minos Palace Resort offers a high-quality stay with beautiful surroundings, excellent food, and peaceful accommodations — especially in the bungalows. With more consistency in front desk hospitality and some room updates, it could easily reach top-tier status.

If we had to point out one downside, it would be the food. It was unfortunately disappointing compared to the rest of the experience — both in terms of quality and value. We tried different places at the hotel, it was simply not good and overpriced. Another small downside: the TV in the room is very small and doesn’t feature Netflix or any other app, just some boring linear channels… a bit disappointing in this price range.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and overall had a fantastic experience. The property is beautiful, the facilities are excellent, and the outdoor pool and beach access are truly stunning. The room was very clean and well equipped, and the staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay.
