Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe hotel is located in the village of Milatos, about 1.5 km from the beach. Walking takes around 20 minutes, but it’s better to go by car, especially in August when it’s very hot. The hotel is small and family-run. There is a swimming pool, and the rooms have air conditioning, a kitchen, and everything you need. We really appreciated the warm hospitality of the hosts – they were always happy to help. The hotel is very quiet, so you can truly relax and enjoy your holiday. Breakfast is available for €9 per person, but you need to inform the hosts in advance. There is free parking with enough space for everyone. Each room has a balcony with a sea view. The view is beautiful, although in the morning it gets quite hot; after around 11 a.m. it’s more comfortable to sit outside. The location is wonderful, but keep in mind that the road to the village goes through 7–8 km of serpentine. However, this was not a problem for us. Dinner can also be ordered at the hotel – the hostess cooks deliciously. I am very grateful for the warm hospitality and the wonderful time we spent at this hotel. Looking forward to coming back soon!

PolandOn the one hand, the location is very unique and quiet, but it's worth keeping in mind that the place is located in a village in the middle of the mountains and it takes time to get to the main road; lack of shops nearby
Located in a very quiet area; beautiful view; large, nice balcony; friendly owners

Loved everything about this accommodation! I must especially mention the owners Kat and Alice who have created such a welcoming and inclusive environment. The food was amazing! It’s a hidden corner of Crete which offers an authentic and peaceful retreat.

EstoniaThere was nothing that we did not like. The place and the hosts met all our expectations. Thank you so much!
The location was exceptional - fresh air, beautiful garden, and sea view. Great pool. A simple but fresh Cretan-style breakfast. The cocktail hour, chats with hosts and with other guests was a great way to relax after sunny day. And dinners! A true culinary journey into the culture, history, and flavours of Greece and Crete. The rooms are clean and tastefully designed. We had everything that we needed for a great family vacation. Alice and Kat are amazing hosts. Milatos Village gave a wonderful opportunity to get a classic feel of Cretan life. Thank you!

BelgiumNothing to complain about! Only the bathroom would need a small upgrade...if you take a shower, the water goes out on the floor.
Friendly owners, nice garden, excellent breakfast with local products. You can do walks from the hotel, through orchards of olive trees.

SwedenThe balconies have a iron spike holding the doors - I have injured myself on it, so be careful with those. Definitely not safe for younger kids as well.
The accommodations are quite nice and the hosts were welcoming and communicative through our stay. Meals were tasty for dinner, breakfast was alright. The pool by the hotel is great and there weren't too many people.

Israelthere is no nice beach close by, but anyway you need a car to come..
Alice and Kat were kind, helpful and we had a beautiful time. the small village is very cute, the food in the villa was very good and also in the taverns around which they recommended. The place is a bit far from the highway but it makes it quiet and cute. We want to come back already
