Maybe some minor improvements can be made in the bathroom but nothing really worth mentioning here.

Everything was great. Maria is such a wonderful host, very warm and helpful always. Gave us the best advice to get around the island. Breakfast was brought every morning as an extra. The balconies have privacy from the neighbours. The location offers great mountain landscape in a quiet area but within walking distance to the town. Very clean room with towels and linen replaced every day. I would not hesitate to book this place again and I totally recommend it.

Maria and the team at Melrose were so welcoming and helpful! From helping with bus schedules when our ferry changes, to picking us up from the port. They made us feel so welcome! We loved the two apartments and big balconies, very practical with kitchen and laundry in room. They also provided a delicious breakfast in the room.

We wished to have booked a room which overlooks the mountains as the side of the road was not very quiet if you want to sleep with open windows. It was not a big problem as in most cases we used the air conditioning because of the hot weather and closed the windows but sometimes we would have liked to skip that.

The room was very clean, big and comfortable and the garden was very beautiful. There were many things that were provided by the host which cannot be found in other houses. The bed sheets and the towels were changed every day. There was a washing machine in the room which was extra bonus for our family. The service was excellent as the host was so kind to drive us from the port and to the port when we left. Another extra bonus was the breakfast items that were left in our room without any extra charge. Every day fresh bread was left to our door and a big variety of other products were provided in the room which surprised us (different kinds of coffee, sugar, honey, jam, eggs, butter, cheese and ham, milk, yoghurt, oats and flakes, cake, croissants, juice and even fruit). In general, the house was quite close to the centre (approx. 12 min walk). The host is really amazing and communicated quickly from the moment we booked and throughout our stay when we had questions.

Nothing could have been better- it was perfect!!!!!

I cannot praise the Melrose highly enough. The views are lovely. The location is ideal: close enough to town for an easy walk in and far away enough to have beautiful views and a very quiet stay. Our apartment was large and well equipped with much attention to thoughtful details. It had two lovely balconies and was light, spacious and immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with everything one could need, including the food for breakfast complete with fresh bread delivered every morning in front of the door. But what stood out most for us was the incredible kindness and attentiveness of our hosts. My husband and I must have remarked to each other how nice they were at least 15 times in a 24 hour period. Maria picked us up at the ferry and had our luggage brought to the room, on departure she met us in town at the ferry with our luggage which we had left in our room. She could not do enough for us and refused our attempt to display our gratitude with a generous tip. We came from a conference on Skiathos where we had been invited to a five star hotel but our fondest memories by far are of our stay at the Melrose. I cannot recommend it highly enough

t was one of the most unforgettable stays we’ve ever had. Maria is such a warm and kind-hearted person. Thanks to her, we truly felt at home. I will never forget the treats in the fridge, refreshed every day. Everything was so delicious. Every morning, fresh bread was left at our door. We enjoyed our breakfast with the tasty food in the fridge. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. We loved every moment of it. During our trip, our car broke down, and Maria went out of her way to help us and even took us to the ferry port on our departure day. We’ll be coming back on Monday and would love to stay here again. We will always come back to Skopelos, and this will forever be our one and only place to stay.

We had a great 3-night stay at Meleose Apartments. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with two lovely balconies overlooking a peaceful garden. Everything was quiet and relaxing. Daily treats were a very kind gesture — thank you! The location is perfect, just a short walk from the center, which is ideal if you prefer not to deal with parking in town. We loved our stay at Melrose Apartments. We liked it so much that we even prolonged for more days instead of traveling to the next island. It is perfect for families. Our apartments was big and had a kitchen (fully equipped), thus perfect to prepare always something for our toddler. In general the building and the rooms are nicely decorated and you have generous space everywhere, which creates a well-feeling / nice atmosphere. The location is perfect, close to the city center, so that we can walk with our kids to the harbor at the evening and good starting point to explore the beaches of the island. Enough space for parking at the place. The Family who run this place is very nice. They were always helpful with whatever requests we had. We certainly recommend this place and will stay there for sure at our next Skopelos travel.

The appartement is spacious, beds are really big and firm, just the way we like it. The host was really helpful during our entire stay. She picked us up from the port and provided late check out which we really appreciated. Nice breakfast delivered at your door every morning. What's not to like?! 😉😎

The room was spacious and well equipped, with a a nice and calm garden and good parking facilities with shade. The owner and the staff were all very friendly and available. We were delighted by the nice surprise of the delicious breakfast offered by the owner on a daily basis! The location of Melrose is also excellent as it is very calm although in a walking distance from the town centre.

The location was perfect, a short walking distance from the port of Skopelos while still a bit away the crowded tourist streets. The place has a beautiful green garden. The room was well equipped and had two balconies, and Maria was an amazing host. We rented bikes in the town (highly recommended!) and Melrose had a dedicated bike stand.

I loved the place! Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the center but in a peaceful part and it is a big plus that parking is available because it would be tough to search for a spot every day in the city. Apartments are spacious and as shown in the pictures, cleaning is regular, owner is very helpful, available for any questions, thank you Maria! I will definitely come back and I recommend it to everyone!

There is no breakfast room, so one eats in the apartment. I guess the lady would wash our dishes, but nonetheless my wife did it because she thought it rude to leave them as they were, so the only better thing would be having a breakfast room.

Melrose is a nice and roomy place, very well handled by the host family who lives at the estate. Our apartment at the first floor was very roomy, it had two terraces facing the different directions (so that one is always in the shade), and we had a washing machine. Nothing is flashy and fancy in the rooms, they are pretty basic and simple, but they were very clean and comfortable, and, again, very large. The sheets and towels were changed every day. The breakfast is served in the room, it was not much but fine (boiled eggs, fresh bread, butter, cheese and some ham). The bathroom is kind of small, but functional. As for location, it is a five minute walk to the pedestrian zone in the harbor, and for the beaches one has to drive anyway. The parking, located at the site, is in the natural shade, which means a lot for the car (and the passengers). The decorations around the estate, especially in the evening, gave it a nice touch. All in all, we got what we bargained for, and the price was appropriate.
