Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location was very central to all the places we wished to visit. Restaurants were within an easy walk and the meeting point for our island tour likewise. The unit itself was very clean, comfortable and had all the facilities we needed for our stay. Alex met us to show us the key location and as we were there before check in time he took our suitcases and stored them for us. Great place to stay.

it was so very clean and tidy when we came in with a great range of facilities. we enjoyed our stay thoroughly with great access to the metro to the city centre only a 10 minute walk away. the host was lovely and super helpful! would stay here again.

Location was excellent Google maps tell you to leave the Metro at Piraeus but the host told us to leave at Dimotiko Theatro which is exactly the station to leave from. We could not fault the apartment or the host.

Very well maintained and clean apartment. Plenty of space for 4 of us. Easy walking distance to where we wanted to go and to the supermarket. Elevator available to bring luggage upstairs also. Would definitely return.

Maybe it would need some drapes. The shutters offer privacy . But drapes would make it cozier than it already is. Not a bad thing. Just an observation.
Very comfortable and cozy . Had everything you would need for a stay in an apartment. Very close to the center of Piraeus.

I like everything about this home very clean spacious , everything is walking distance from supermarket to a gynecologist doctor etc . My husband did an amazing job choosing this place . The apartment very clean . The housekeepers need a race .

We kept getting lost in the long and winding streets, but it was all in fun.
A beautiful one bedroom near to amazing restaurants, public transportation, sunny beaches,ferries and historical sites. What is not to love?

Firstly, I would like to say that the location of the apartment is really comfortable. Metro, port and shops are all nearby. The apartment itself is furnished in a way to live like at home and have all the necessities. Moreover, it was clean, cosy and spacious. To the conclude, the communication the owner of the apartment was easy and lovely. Grateful for the experience and the chance to live there!

Leaving!
Alex's apartment was beautiful. Very well appointed, clean and well presented. Self check in was perfect, there is a lift to the apartment and Alex had thoughtfully left snacks and drinks for me. I loved the location as it was in the heart of Piraeus in a residential area but walking distance to the port. I felt like a local. I was very comfortable, the furnishings are excellent and can highly recommend this apartment.

Max Blue apartment is incredibly well presented. The decor, the furnishings, the comfort and the layout are exceptional. The rooms are big and spacious and the whole place is really cool, I did not use the air conditioning at all Alex, the owner is super helpful and goes the extra mile to ensure his guests are happy. The apartment is in a street where Greek people live so if you want to live like a local but in a luxury apartment, choose Max Blue. The apartment block has a prominent entrance and there is a lift to all floors. The apartment is just an 8 minute walk from Port Gate 9 where the Seajet Catermarans go from to the other islands, I did this three times, the area is friendly and safe. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this apartment.

An excellent surprise the minute you cross the door - it’s probably the best alternative if you are traveling from the port, or want to stay away from the noisy tourist areas. It’s fully equipped, laundry, iron, coffee machine, etc., literally everything you need for a few days in Athens. The neighbourhood looks safe and there are plenty of options to eat, local style!
