How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very weak or completely missing internet WiFi connection.

Hotel Maria is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything you need. The breakfast is satisfying, with enough variety to start the day well. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. Overall, a very pleasant and cozy stay.

The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The owners of the hotel are truly kind and welcoming. The hotel is spotless and well-maintained, and the food is delicious and high-quality. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it to all travelers.

The hosts are absolutely amazing - friendly, responsive, and helpful. The yard is very pleasant especially in the heat, there's also a bar. The room had everything we needed and was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice friendly family runs hotel, they are always there so we felt safe and relaxed. The room has mosquito nets, garden is well maintained, there’s big private parking behind the hotel. Possidi beach is incredibly beautiful with clear water especially near to the cape, we enjoyed snorkel. Thanks hotel Maria!

Clean, nice, renovated rooms; very good breakfast with excellent coffee on a patio adjacent to a small garden. The hotel is near various restaurants and Possidi beaches. Staff was courteous and nice.

It is a lovely and quiet place close to the sea. The staff are very hospitable and open. Mrs Maria is a perfect host. Breakfast was delicios, each day there was something new added for diversity. The room was clean and tidy. Parking space was available on site. Just lovely!

Small room for family.
Location was great, few minutes from the beach. Family that owns the hotel was very nice and welcoming. Great, big balcony.

Everything about this hotel was great! The room was perfect (spacious, clean, comfortable beds, balcony with sea view, nice shower, etc.) and the service was overall impeccable. The location was also ideal, within walking distance to restaurants and beach yet silent at night. Highly recommend!

The only minus part I can mention is that the tile in front of the sink was not polished at the ends and we both got some scratches on our legs because of touching that part while washing our hands, but other than that everything was perfect!
Very clean room, perfect location and very friendly staff! The breakfast was also very nice!

Amazing hotel. very clean. excellent breakfast. Very good beds for a restful sleep. Beautiful manicured garden with large trees. The sea is a 5-minute walk away. The beach is wonderful.

Everything was perfect!
Beautiful, cozy hotel, with wonderful garden! Very close to the beautiful beach, near tavernas and restaurants. Marios is wonderful host, he gave us a tips for restaurants. We will be back again for sure, love for beautiful Greek village Possidi!

I recently stayed at 'Maria Hotel' and had a wonderful experience. The host, Maria and Nicos, ware incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach, which was perfect for our daily outings. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. Hotel Maria is an excellent hotel. Close to the beach and restaurants/cafes and markets. Great garden around hotel with full of trees and flowers , there were beatiful smells. Buffet breakfast options were sufficient. Parking in front of the entrance. Our room was at the ground floor had a garden and it was very quiet. The owners were very welcoming especially Maria.
