The location was very convenient, next to the city center, the apartment was excellent, it had everything someone needs and it was very clear. The best part, however, was the personnel. Mrs Maria made me feel at home, she was very kind and helpful and made my stay one of the best I have ever had. If you love handmade stuff, you might have a nice goodbye gift as well!!

Everything was just perfect! Everyone was so lovely and helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bed, linen, pillows were of the best quality and made for a good night's sleep. There was a lovely selection of snacks/water/coffee/tea etc in the room along with some Raki and wine, such a warm welcome! The location is very central to the Old Town but tucked away so quiet at night. I had my own entrance with a table and chairs outside to enjoy a coffee in the morning! I am planning to return in a couple of months 🙂

An absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel was perfect in every way, warm welcome, spacious and beautifully decorated room with a lovely balcony, incredibly large comfortable bed, and a large, modern bathroom. Located on a peaceful pedestrian street right in the heart of the old town, close to everything. We fell in love with this place and can’t wait to come back. Everything about this property was great

Hotel manager was super nice and heaps helpful with sight seeing etc. it’s in a great location: walking distance to the square, port and great restaurants near by. The room was super modern and clean. highly recommend!

The hotel doesn’t have a lift to carry bags as it’s an old building so have to carry luggage’s up the stairs. Something to note for people with some mobility problems but there are rooms on the ground floor so something to consider when booking.

Amazing. Stayed in a junior suite. We arrived late and the check in process was very easy. The room was spacious, bathroom very big, air conditioning worked well especially since it was hot in Crete. Room was well catered for with water and juice in the fridge upon our arrival, had a nespresso machine along with a filter coffee machine. The entrance to the hotel is quite narrow, cars cannot enter however, this wasn’t an issue. Very central to shops and restaurants, everything quite a walkable distance. Overall would highly recommend this hotel and would happily returned for another stay.

From the welcome gift to the beautifully appointed suite, we were delighted with our stay at Marea. The location is superb; turn left for the old port and right to head into the Old Town. The room is well kitted out and all the amenities are of a high standard. Everything has been carefully thought through, with even a great little welcome pack on arrival. Highly recommended!
