Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAir conditioning not working very well. Technician came twice but no improvement. It would have been useful to have some instructions for appliances.
Excellent set up with each accommodation unit having its own private area so you wouldn't know it wasn't just you staying there. Gardens and pool wonderful, very peaceful. Garage a real bonus.

United StatesThis is not a reflection of the property, but rather a suggestion for future visitors - do not rent a car in Santorini; use taxis or Uber instead. Google maps does not navigate consistently well and can lead you into tiny roads that are almost impossible to back out of and you will scratch almost any sized car. Car rental companies charge large damage fees that far exceed the cost of calling a taxi/Uber. Don't do what we did!
We had an exceptional family stay renting all three villas. The pool was wonderful and all the rooms were comfortable and clean. Very quiet. Communication with host was easy and we appreciated their consideration for our requests.

GermanyWe were in the two bedroom villa in front. In the summer it gets full sun exposure and the AC is having trouble keeping the rooms cool. The WiFi speed is OK, but the reception throughout the house is quite spotty, even with the option to connecting to the WiFi by the pool.
The villa is located in a quiet part of Emporeio, out of the busy touristy parts of Santorini. The accommodation is spacious, well equipped. The pool is great, especially on hot days to cool down a bit. The host is responsive and proactive, it was easy to find the villa based on the directions provided. It's also nice to have access to the garage as parking in the area is sparse. As others noted, smaller cars are better to navigate the road leading up to the villa, there are some tight squeezes where the sideview mirrors can scrape the walls if not driven carefully. Emporeio is a quaint little town, it's fun to discover its maze of streets. One never knows what quaint view comes around the next bend. For dinner (and breakfast) would highly recommend the Old Barber Shop which is just a 5 minute walk.

United KingdomNot in any way the accomodation's fault, but just a recommendation to not rent a large car if you plan to stay here given the roads are very slim. We had a T-Roc and it just (!!!!) about got us through to the accom. Again, this is not in any way the accoms fault but more an FYI for those looking to hire a bigger car.
The swimming pool was fantastic. 'The Cave' was fantastic! Plenty of space and a comfy sofa. Kitchen facilities were excellent given the size of the kitchen Can't fault the help we got from the host too. Always quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you for a great 6 days

United KingdomThe villa was in a beautiful quiet town of Emporio, easy for us to navigate getting around the island in car and bus. There a three villas so it was not over crowded and you feel like you have the pool to yourself. The accommodation had ample space and all you need for a self catering accommodation. It even comes with free coffee, sugar and tea, which are reatocked daily when house keeping visits. All in all a very pleasant experience and would highly rate this accommodation.

CanadaThe kitchen could have had some better knives and a couple more small spoons.
It was quiet and peaceful, nestled into the traditional town of Emporio. The location is very close to Perissa beach, about a 40 mins drive from Oia and Ammoudi Bay. The linens, bed and pillows were very comfortable and of good quality, we slept very well. The pool was lovely and felt private, we didn’t see any other guests during our stay. We had a parking spot in the car port which was helpful. Alexandra was very responsive to our questions, helped us with finding a taxi between our car rental and the port, and treated us to a yummy home made ice cream from her shop Vienna Cremeria down at Perissa Beach. We had plenty of hot water for showers, yummy coffee and a large bottle of water for us when we arrived. If you rent a car, the roads are manageable, our Google maps worked well to the villa and around the island, the only scary party is the drive through the narrow alley to the villa from the road and parking, but you’ll get the hang of it!

Location is perfect. Very quiet and peaceful. Alexandra the host was very helpful. The cave house was perfect. Lots of lovely features. Cleaned daily if required. The pool is amazing. Very calming. It has a great restaurant nearby where we ate at 3 times. Supermarket, bakery and other shops a ten min walk away. We will miss this place!

United KingdomWith a few basic changes they could make a difference. We only had one wine glass however we did get more when asked. The cooking facilities were basic . There was only one little sharp knife so no bread knife etc. There was no outside shade with this property either which could be easily rectified
Great pool. Nice and quiet

Loved the location, and the accommodation overall. Emporio is a great base, an easy drive to the beaches down south and Fira and Oio up north. Alexandria is super responsive and her guide of what to do is better than any Internet scheduling you could plan yourself.

United KingdomWe've had a 3-night nightmare holiday experience. There was an infestation problem with mosquitoes with its nest located under the kitchen cabinet. My family and I, have been bitten by mosquitoes very badly, resulting in running with my daughter to the A&E department. I never saw the mosquitoes outside on the island during my stay. The performance of the air conditioning was so poor that in the bedroom, it couldn't go lower than 24 degrees. Also, there was a power cuts on arrival and through the first night. Lack of barriers around swimming pool areas and terrace where a little child could fall easily. We moved out form the property after the 3rd night, because it was impossible to stay any longer there. I never experienced anything like that in my life and I travel a lot. This is my first negative review ever.
Nearby sightseeing.

United KingdomThe Canava kitchen was a little worn and not as new as it all looked in the photos. We had an issue with building work behind the house which was a continuous thumping noise from 7 am (5am UK time) which was not ideal on holiday!
The outside pool area was nice, the town Emporio was quiet and charming.

United KingdomNot enough parking when all villas are occupied, and very tight access road with public parking about 5-7 mins walk away. Power cuts (albeit island wide) and no hot water for two days / pool cleaning system out of action, although our host did fix it promptly. Kitchen only has basic facilities although you can ask for extra items like toasters etc if you need them.
Great communication, comfortable beds, lots of space to relax. Pool, garden and parking shared with the other two villas so this requires navigating.
