Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceI stayed at this hotel for seven nights in early to mid-August. It’s worth noting that I have no prior experience with three-star hotels, so my comments may be stricter than they deserve. Overall, the owners are genuinely dedicated, and the value for money is fair. The hotel is right on the seafront — which is also the main street of Agios Ioannis — surrounded by many restaurants and cafés. Our Comfort Room with sea view on the top floor was spacious, tastefully decorated in cool tones, well-lit, and clean. Downsides: few power outlets near the bed and low shower pressure, especially when neighboring rooms were in use. There’s no private parking; the nearest lot is 300 m away, and street parking is scarce. The beach in front is average, but there are beautiful ones nearby: Plaka (difficult and somewhat risky coastal path) and Papa Nero (1 km walk; don’t drive). Beach umbrellas must be reserved the day before. Wi-Fi is good throughout. Breakfast is basic and lacks variety. On some nights, there were parties with loud music — even live until 3 a.m. — which may be an issue for light sleepers. That said, one night I did enjoy the music from my balcony. Personally, I think a hotel and a bar don’t mix well. Staff and owners are exceptionally kind and helpful; when we left, they even gave us two bottles of water for the road — a small but much-appreciated gesture.

North MacedoniaFor me personally the matress was way too soft. It felt like I had a duvet under me. Not related with the hotel, but the beach looks much nicer on the photos than it did in reality.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff and manager, clean, good facilities! It is a great value for money!

GreeceHotel is literally on the beach. Staff is very friendly, polite and willing to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay by also providing all the info u may need. Breakfast is just what u need, fresh and tasty. Rooms are clean with view, spacious enough with excellent pillows and matress on the bed. Restaurant is in fact an all-day cafe-bar at seafront offering drinks and few delicious snacks, light lunch or dinner. Overall an excellent experience for those who are looking for a nice, clean and friendly accomodation in a lovely place without having to pay a fortune for, quite the opposite in fact!!

EstoniaThe beach in front of the hotel is dirty, full of cigarette buds thrown by the staff of the hotel among others. The coffee at breakfast was frankly bad. One can get a better coffee at the bar but has to pay. It is a bit cheap. One cup of good coffee could be included in the breakfast to make people happy. Too much light int he room in the morning. The curtains are not adapted.
The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy. The sea view was amazing. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. The location is very nice; all restaurants are close.

MaltaEverything was great.
Staff were just awesome, from the beginning to the end, they even offered to pack sandwiches for us in the last day as we had to leave early. Beach front, delicious breakfast. We took a room with sea view and the sunrise was really beautiful to watch. Perfect place to disconnect from the rest of the world and have a great time.

United KingdomThe superior room was still not particularly large or especially comfortable. It lacked basic amenities including towels for the first two nights (which, admittedly, we then didn't bother to request) or a TV with signal. The bed sheet was always placed folded on the bed rather than being fitted. Only one side of the sizeable bed had a bedside light. Light switches for the walk-in wardrobe were hidden away under a dressing table which was itself inaccessible because it was obstructed by a large sofa-bed. Locking the door must be done with a key from inside the room, which proved quite difficult when you also needed the key to switch on the electricity for light in the room. The paint was pealing in places - perhaps just a sign of the end of the season. The swimming pool was a little dated and dirty - although not really consequential when the Aegean Sea is just a few metres away. Breakfast was acceptable - it tasted very fresh - but was a little underwhelming in the extent of vegetarian options. Checkout was a bit slow.
Exceptional service by Demetrius, who met us at the roadside late in the evening, parked our car, and could not have made more effort to make us feel welcome. The staff generally were great, from the efficient waiting staff thorough to the efficient cleaners. Everyone seemed very familial, which made this small hotel very charming. The location is perfect - directly on the seafront with a superb private beach. There was a great variety of restaurants and shops nearby, including a very well stocked beachfront supermarket. Inside the room, there were unbeatable eastward views, a great shower, hot water, reliable air conditioning, and a cosy balcony. The room was tastefully decorated in pastel colours and thought has gone into the warmness of the bedside lighting. We appreciated the generous shelf space in the bathroom and the ample supplies of soap, etc. Acceptable WiFi.

We had a very nice stay at the Kenta hotel. The location is right on the beach and you can eat your breakfast while looking directly at the sea. The room was not very spacious, however the bed was very large and comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and our towels were changed daily as well. The breakfast was good and there were both sweet and savory options each morning. The biggest impression was definitely Mr Dimitris incredible hospitality. He was very kind, helpful and welcoming during our entire stay at the hotel along with other staff members.

NetherlandsThe location is amazing, straight at the beach and the small boulevard. The staff is exceptional. The friendly owners and staff make you feel welcome from the first moment and nothing is too much for them. The rooms are super comfortable and the breakfast plus the other food they serve is great. We booked one night, but decided immediately to stay and extra night because we loved it so much. Although it was busy during a special day, we could still get a room and even some sun beds on the beach. If you’re tired of the sea, you can also enjoy the swimming pool. We’re definitely planning on coming back. We loved our stay!

IsraelI liked everything!
Dimitris is the best host ever. So nice and welcoming! He helped us with everything we needed and also after we left stayed in contact to give us tips for the rest of our trip in Greece. In addition to him the entire staff is amazing! The hotel itself is nice and clean. We got a room upgrade which was really nice and the room was really clean, spacious, with all the necessary equipment! We'd definitely come back.
