The bathrooms were designed according to the building regulations at the time the hotel was constructed, and while they may feel compact, they fully meet the standards of that period. As for the price, it is influenced by many different factors such as the location, the view, the facilities, and the services provided, not only by the bathroom dimensions. Our hotel is indeed an older property, built in 1987 and opened in 1993. Since then, we have made several renovations, but it’s not always possible to meet every personal preference regarding beds, mattresses, or pillows. We do understand how important a good night’s sleep is, and we’re always taking feedback into account to improve wherever possible. At the same time, part of Kastro Hotel’s identity is the classic style and the quality woodwork in the rooms – this is something we truly value and will not replace with modern but lower-quality materials. The room you selected has a large shared balcony, which is a characteristic feature of these particular rooms. Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your kind words about our friendly staff and the pool. We truly appreciate that you noticed the effort we put into making our guests feel welcome. At the same time, we must admit we were a bit disappointed to see a score of 3, especially since the only issue mentioned was the unpleasant smell in the bathroom. As we explained to you in person, this smell is unfortunately caused by the municipal drainage system of Agios Kirikos and affects the entire area when the weather conditions are like this. It is not related to our hotel’s maintenance, and it is not something we are able to control or improve on our side. Regarding the points you mentioned: • Bathroom size: Our bathrooms are indeed small, as the hotel was originally designed this way. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to make them larger, but we always keep them clean and functional. • Breakfast: We try to offer a fresh and varied selection for €7, which we believe is great value.
