How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our stay at Kamelia exceeded all of our expectations. The host here was extremely helpful and very friendly. We stayed on the island for 3 days and fell inlove with not only the island, the restaurants but also the hotel. The location was perfect and a very quick 5 minute walk to town and also the beach. Thankyou Kamelia Hotel for our lovely stay and you will 100% see us back again soon!

We liked everything!
Kamelia hotel is AMAZING - definitely recommend it! Location is great and in the middle of everything, the owner is super helpful and nice and the rooms are new, spacious and bright - the best I have stayed in Spetses and great value for money! Even a coffee machine in each one of the rooms - would definitely go back! Thank you!

Beautiful and well maintained grounds,loved the verandah seating upstairs, and the clothesline with pins which came in very handy. Rooms were super clean, beds comfortable, plugs for charging,blackout curtains,strong wifi. Owner was helpful with tips for the island and always available. Loved the location, quiet and in between new and old port.

Nothing really. Maybe a kettle for nice hot tea… the Nespresso machine doesn’t give properly hot water. There was an iron in the cupboard. Would have been great if there were a small kettle too as I don’t drink coffee. But, the stay was fab
Lovely room. Bathroom was super, the bed was great. Everything was immaculate. Lovely view from my room over to the port. I was on the second floor. A 10/15 minute walk to the old port and a 10 minute walk (or less) to the ferry and the town. I visited during the Amarata so rooms were a little more expensive I think. My stay was fun

In all honesty, there was nothing unsavory about our stay. As a matter of fact, I didn’t wanna leave! If it wasn’t for them being fully booked, we would’ve stayed a few more nights.
How perfect it was…it was a nice quiet way to end our time on the islands. our host was lovely and the atmosphere was angelic. Everything was clean and updated. The location was convenient and right off the beaten path on a quiet side street. I would recommend staying here. I know I will be again in the future.

Kamelia is a very nice and quiet house a few steps from Spetses Town. The staff is very helpful on giving insights on what to do and see. Don’t miss Spetsa Bar on the way to the Main Street.

We really loved our stay, the service was exceptional, the room was super clean, the location couldn’t be better as we were at the centre of Spetses close to everything. I totally recommend it and we will be certainly back! Thank you for your hospitality!!

The hotel is clean, comfortable and well-located just a short walk from the public beach in Spetses town. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. My stay couldn't have gone better. Highly recommended!

Everything was fine.
Perfect location near all major sites and easy access to the beach. Complementary snacks were provided for breakfast everyday.
