Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location is amazing: 15-20 minutes walk to the cave of Apocalypse, along what looks like a medieval stone road. Also a short walk to the port of Skala where one can take a comfortable bus (check the timetable) or a taxi. The studios have a lot of style. There is a spacious outdoor seating area. The view is very special. The host is very friendly and was available throughout our stay (3 nights). We did have an issue but the host responded promptly, which was very helpful.

ItalyNothing much, only the smell in the bathroom.
The property is nicely located, being dettached from other building and sitting on a road rarely used gives it a lot of privacy. Also since it is quite high you can see most of the city from the property.

GreeceThe location was excellent between the port and the monastery at a quiet place. The owner was generous offering us a brand new coffee machine with capsules for our staying.

United KingdomMore cooking equipment needed such as chopping boards and knives let it down a bit and have been mentioned by other guests. The male host was not as pleasant as the hostesses but only there shortly. There was a misunderstanding at the port which he seemed to take personally. But it's a great place and comes highly recommended
Beautifully designed Apartment on the ancient route to the monastery and At John's cave. The decor is exceptional and modern whilst maintaining a medieval ambience. Good heating during shoulder seasons. Quiet and a wonderful outside area. The hostesses are very pleasant.

United StatesThis was the most pleasant stay of our trip in two weeks! The owner really gave an amazing first impression, and my wife thinks this was one of the most beautiful places she has ever stayed! The positioning could not be better for access to shops in Skala, the Cave of the Apocalypse, and a most beautiful sunrise! Everyone should come visit in the off season!convenient! We could also cook all of our meals!

Fantastic location on the edge of the main town en route to the Chora. Property was very characterful, perfectly combining traditional and modern. Lovely outside terrace with great views. Peri was a great host, she offered tips for what to do on the island and a very generous welcome pack was provided.

ItalyThe amazing quietness, the authenticity of the furniture, doors, the details, the smell of the sheets and towels, the balcony , the location for our interest ( the Apocalypse Cave ) , the singing of the birds , the cleanliness, the view, the privacy. If God wants us to return to Patmos , we would stay here again and again and we will suggest it to friends. We are extremely satisfied! Thank you! ,,

IrelandIt is located on the outskirts of town and uphill. But once your bags are gone that is not a problem. Collection for the port would have been nice, but I never asked if it was an option (my fault)
The chilled atmosphere around the apartment. Far enough away from the centre of town but still close enough to enjoy the town

United KingdomI liked everything, but i think the apartment would benefit with few more items in the kitchen useful for self-catering, like a chopping board, a kitchen towel etc.
Really lovely apartment, very nicely designed for its size. Loved the taras/balcony and fantastic view into the bay. the location was absolutely perfect for me, out of the very town centre and close to the monastery route. Lovely owner and lovely staff member on site.

United KingdomCould have done with two easy chairs, rather than one to relax in and enjoy the view when you get back home after a day exploring. Also make sure you get a taxi from the port when you first arrive as it’s a bit of a walk uphill with all your luggage in the heat! Everything else was perfect.
Lovely apartment with good facilities. Lovely terrace with a great view down to Skala and upto Chora. It’s in the old road to Chora so only 10minutes walk to the cave of St John. 5-10minutes walk to great restaurants and bars.

United Kingdomthe bed was hard and the owner couldn’t help with a ‘topper’ or anything similar. The location could be a challenge for some as it is on a steep hill and the path is rough.
the character was so well created, little touches and interest. Although close to town the area was peaceful and calming. The terrace is a nice place to sit with great views and there are lovely plants around. The equipment worked and it was serviced very well, every day.

BelgiumThe room was not cleaned durung our 3 night stay. Even wen we asked to empty at least the wastebasket in the toilet and kitchen on the third day, nobody took care. It is hard to get a taxi in the port on arrival, as it is only 1 km up hill, and taxi driver prefer to take clients further away from the port. With luggage it is a hard climb to the studio.. The is no pickup service.
