How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

That it was not 60 m to the beach. It was around 200 m, but finally ok. For 1-2 nights îs ok, for long Journey we prefere more close to the beach.
View of the sea from the balcony, quiet place. Clean and simple, all you need inside. We stayed for 2 nights.

Very beautiful and peaceful location, the yard and the outdoor lounge are fantastic for enjoying the nature,the room was very beautiful and comfortable,the hostess and the personnel are very welcoming and all of them are very friendly and kind

Generally very clean apartment, but some spots in the apartment could be cleaner.
Nice location and very comfortable apartment. The staff was helpful and polite. Generally good value for money.

It is slightly far from any kind of supermarket or center (~2km).
Staff very friendly, we got breakfast included and the people was really warm with us. We got even a small gift when leaving :)

Breakfast service was slow. Would be better with a self-service buffet.
Beautiful apartments with a stunning seaview. Clean and comfortable . Perfect location to visit Monemvasia, just a 5mins drive away. Tasty breakfast and friendly staff!

Everything was fine.
It is ideally situated near Monemvasia, close to the sea with nice view, in a very peaceful area. Nice flat, spacious and clean. The two ladies, Yota and Marianna, are very kind and do their best to provide a pleasant stay. We had a rich breakfast at the beautiful yard. Iliopetro is highly recommended!

Very narrow double bed , no shutters at the room where we stayed - and the windows are facing towards the east- , rundown shower, very bad quality filter coffee , poor breakfast.
Good location, very polite staff , nice view , quiet rooms. Parking space.

This place made our stay in Monemvasia lovely! The accommodation was excellent and the surroundings were very peaceful! Our hostess was exceptionally hospitable and kind!

Although we, American senior citizen married couple, arrived after the advertised check-in time which was 3pm,( we arrived approx. 3:30pm) the Greek speaking staff/owners did not appear to want us there even though we provided a printout of our Booking.com confirmation. Our Greek taxi driver, who also spoke English well with which we had traveled with for 5 days attempted to assist with reception check-in but that seemed to create problems with male owner. Eventually an English speaking staff person arrived and honored the reservation and welcomed us. The owners appeared to assign one staff person to deal with nonspeaking Greek language guests. We were glad they did not turn us away since we had confirmation and it would have been very challenging on the National Greek holiday to find another place to stay. After check-in our driver drove us to tour nearby Monemvasia. Our experience is the property WIFI is only available via password near the reception area otherwise cell roaming access. Would be nice to provide password to guests but perhaps this another language issue, unsure?
Nice clean location within walking distance to award winning beach. The morning breakfast, with owner homemade lemon marmalade, in the lovely reception area patio is nice. The souvenir bag with shells and painted beach rock which the owner created and staff gave at departure was a nice ending to our stay.

Very RUDE owners.... We contacted them twice before our arrival, requesting anything BUT the less limited sea view apartment we saw there was.They reassured us that they wound NOT put us in a such room. But once upon our arrival the put us in the most minimum sea vew apartment (the only one with a big tree infront) and called us behind our backs but very LOUDLY ASSHOLES (malakes) and we both heard it from inside the apartment (shouting more ironic comments like "ok i will cut the tree for you next time"). Our original purpose was to have a weekend with a sea view apartment and after they tricked us, we finally didnt. We didnt want to make any bigger deal of the whole incident and we also pretend we didnt hear the insults the gave us. We would NEVER go back there and i advise people NOT to do so either.

We were the first clients after the hotel was closed for the winter and unfortunately they weren't fully prepared. The hot water was smelling very bad, because apparently during the winter break the water hadn't run at all. This wasn't checked before our arrival, we were the first to find out on the first evening. The pipes in the bathroom were also clogged and after the first shower (with the smelly water...) the bathroom flooded. All issues were fixed on the same day they were reported. Nevertheless you wouldn't expect these things to happen. Two more notes regarding the food: The offered snacks in the kitchen were expired and the breakfast was just fine.
Great location, 10 minutes away from Monemvasia. Amazing sea view. Kind host and staff. All reported issues (from the list of the below mentioned problems) were addressed on the same day.
