The beds were not very comfortable, the bathroom door did not close, and the shower did not have a hook to put the shower head in so we had to hold it up with our hands. Lastly we found our used towels folded and put in our room after room service as if they were new towels (I told the staff and they replaced them immediately with new towels).

The location was very nice, close to the main town but still far enough to sleep without any noises. The view was beautiful and the staff was very nice.

This is our second time staying at Hermes, and it did not disappoint. We found the room to be very comfortable, with the necessary amenities provided. My partner and I greatly appreciated how welcoming and friendly the bar staff were last year, so we had to come back. I could not recommend this place enough.

I have to be honest, even though I loved this place so much. I was MELTING. Even when the AC was on, it was an oven. It was cooler outside than in my room. I would walk in and a WAVE of heat hit me. I had to redo my makeup like 3 times because I was sweating so much. And, there were ants. Apparently while I was snacking on a sesame bar I dropped a crumb on the floor and the ants came RUNNING in.

I LOVED THE POOL AND LOCATION. The view from my window left me speechless! Spent so much time admiring the view from the balcony. The room was also well managed, with fancy folded sheets and very clean. I also loved the staff so much! He offered me a transfer to my next hotel, gave me a wristband for a bar in town, they brought my luggage to my room, and gave me princess treatment. I also loved the energy there, it was very young and fun, it gave a hostel vibe. The location is also really good too, you are right in between Chora and Mylopotas. But the best part was the kindness of the owner who was born and raised in Ios, and the jaw dropping view.

The wifi is a bit spotty if you stay further away from reception, we struggled but my parents in closer room had no problems, our balcony can do with a layer of paint- thats nit picking!

The view! Location was great, bust stop in front of hotel but its an easy walk to the chora (10-15 minutes). We rented two rooms with my parents staying in the other, saw afterwards a review that said hotel more suited for young people but we didn’t experience that at all, no noises at night only a handful of young people at pool- along with people with toddler’s and babies so found it super family friendly, maybe its the time of year, we stayed 27-30 aug. Owner phoned and organized us a rental car even dropped us off the rental company. The room had small fridge that was cold on arrival. We had a late ferry and they were kind enough to keep our bags for us. They recommended a few restaurants including The Nest, we ate there al 3 nights the traditional greek food is that good! They also have a restaurant on premises that sells pizza burgers ect.

Unfortunately I find that the room was much too expensive for what it was knowing that we only had hot water two days before the end of our stay when we had to shower all the rest with very cold water. Then I have rarely seen beds so uncomfortable with springs that you feel as soon as you move. To top it all off, the clime didn't work for two days.

The pressure in the shower was horrible at times. Sometimes there was no water at all. Several times we were in the shower and it just stopped or went really bad.

We loved the location. The bus stop was just outside, but we often walked to the village/beach as it was not long!!
