Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation was very convenient. You can see the hotel as you step off of the ferry, and it's only a five minute walk. It is quiet but only a ten minute walk into the village with plenty of bars and tavernas. The geothermal pool is lovely and warm. View from the room is across to Kos and great for sunsets. The wi-fi worked well.

This is a charming hotel with a full view of the sea on the outskirts of town with its own private space. Simple room with balcony had an outstanding, close up, panoramic view of the sea. The buffet breakfast (included) was simple but adequate. I enjoyed my stay here. The seaside town is quaint with many authentic restaurants, small grocery stores and bakeries providing ample selection. The island (Nysiros) is quiet (December) with many scenic hikes.

United KingdomWe had come from a luxurious room at Livadia, Tilos and arrived late in the evening. Our initial impression was not good because the reception area was scruffy and untidy. We were taken to the room, which was very compact and lacked style. It was a bit of a shock, even bearing in mind that it was cheap in comparison. The beds were not very comfortable and, although it appeared to have been decorated recently, it still reminded us of an old 80s hotel. As I have described above, however, there were compensations.
In spite of the room being very basic, the air conditioning was very efficient and everything in the bathroom worked OK. After a night's sleep we opened the shutters to the balcony and immediately felt better when we saw the view! When we went for breakfast we felt even better. We were greeted with friendly smiles and the buffet breakfast was more than adequate, with fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, fresh bread, butter, jams, orange juice and excellent coffee, with the option of various teas. We were able to take our breakfasts on trays to the outdoor bar area, with an even better view. It did involve crossing the road but this was not a problem as traffic is light. Even better was to come, when we experienced the geothermal pool and the excellent sunbeds. The pool is emptied every night and refilled with warm water direct from the ground. It takes quite a while to refill but, once full, the excess just flows down pipes into the sea. The water temperature is around 34 degrees and there is a strong smell of iron filings. It is not unpleasant and seems to have a very positive effect on the skin. It really has to be experienced and makes the negative points of the room much easier to bear. After a short time we really warmed to the place in more ways than one! It's location is excellent, just a short walk from the port and the village. You can sit in the bar area or lie on a comfortable sunbed whilst watching the action at the port.

GreeceThere could be more place for parking and breakfast could include more traditional Nisyrian products , that are very famous .
Breakfast was rather poor. Location was very good though with sea view, and a pool emptied every night and filled every morning with natural geothermal water with healing properties from the volcano. Staff and owner were very friendly. It was also pet friendly unlike most other places to stay in Nisyros.

GermanyThe pool was a little old already, but absolutely clean and warm, new water every day! The room was a bit small- like in older times, but also clean and a nice vie over the sea. Only the street close to the house was disturbing (motor bikes..), but fortunately not much traffic

AustraliaWe booked this property because it had the geothermal pool; unfortunately the pool was only available to be used on the afternoon we arrived. After that, it was not open; when asked, the owner said it was too cold! But it’s a thermal pool so really doesn’t matter what the outside temperature is! Disappointed that we could not use it.
The property was in a great location. it was very clean and the rooms were serviced daily. The breakfast was adequate .

GreeceThe hotel gives off a strong sense of abandonment. Broken floors, torn umbrellas, an outdated bathroom with a faulty faucet—overall, the place feels neglected. The breakfast was very poor: low-quality cold cuts and cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and some old-looking fruit. The coffee was okay at best.
On the positive side, the location is excellent, offering a stunning view. The thermal pool is also a big plus, it’s unique and not something you’ll find elsewhere on the island. With proper maintenance and some care, this place could be so much better.

United KingdomThere is a horrible disgusting old man thats the 'caretaker'. He sleeps all day, shouts at customers and especially katerina..he is no good for the hotel owner. He does nothing around the building and needs to do work around the poolside area..he abuses everyone and anyone..he's soo rude, an awful man. You won't get many returning customers with him around..he isn't a good advertisement for the hotel or nisyros.. Very sad if we don't come a 3rd time.
2nd time staying here. Pool was great as usual.katerina the lady thst does absolutely everything is amazing. She is a credit to the hotel. She is so helpful and funny and always smiling A breath of fresh air. Sunsets are breathtaking. Restaurants are great. Seeing the island when all the visits have left on the boats is very relaxing.

Great location, ran by a lovely family. Rooms are kitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Pool is fantastic, floating in it felt like I was in the sea! Also be sure to ask about the family’s homemade volcanic body and face mask, all natural ingredients and supporting independent businesses!!

United KingdomScammed: Charged an extra 100 euros (cash only of course) at checkout although we had booked and paid in advance. They put an extra bed in our room (which we didn’t need) then claimed we had agreed to it and made us pay extra. Room: NO sea view (see pic) Bathroom: shower didn’t work properly - half ran out via tap and half via handheld shower head. No proper overhead shower and had to hold in hand to clean off. Not able to rinse off properly due to poor water pressure. Breakfast: Terrible dried-up baguette slices with old ham, cheese and boiled eggs. Two cereal choices. The worst hotel breakfast I have ever experienced 😟. Nothing fresh or served hot. Staff: No one at the reception desk. Very poor English which allows them to get away with scams like charging extra (see earlier). Also there is a couple with two small children who live there. The kids cry frequently and loudly and it is not a relaxing environment. AVOID THIS HOTEL. There are far better hotels on the island (e.g. Porphyris) for similar price without the scamming and low quality facilities.
The pool is the only redeeming feature of this hotel. If you are a morning swimmer, please note that the pool is not fully filled until around noon- 1 PM.

IrelandI can't say a bad thing about the place.
This hotel has the best view on the island! The geothermal pool is amazing and can't be missed. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely. The air conditioning works great. The hotel has everything you could need or want in a place. It is also 5 minutes walk to the port and 7 minutes walk into town. So it is very ideally located. This is my second time staying at Haritos and I will be back again!
