A truly great hotel in terms of value for money! The staff are incredibly friendly and pleasant, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. As soon as you step outside the hotel, you can already see the sea – it’s just a short walk away. Breakfasts are delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. The nearby beach is absolutely stunning – not crowded, very clean, with breathtaking mountain views and crystal-clear turquoise water. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool for relaxing. If my friends or family asked me where to go for a vacation, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you for an amazing holiday!

Clean and quiet room, very delicious and abundant breakfast, helpful and kind staff, large pool with bar. Excellent location, close to the sea, many restaurants and bars in the area. Renting a car allows you to explore the entire island. Heraklion city center is easily and quickly accessible by bus.

We stayed at Hotel Gorgona for 7 nights and we enjoyed it very much. We absolutely loved the swimming pool and the lush garden, which is truly beautiful. The beach is very close and looks great, with fine sand. Although the breakfast is the same every day, it’s very tasty. The best part of our stay was definitely the staff, who are among the friendliest we’ve ever met in a hotel. On the day of our departure, they kindly asked what time our flight was, and since it was very late in the evening, they offered us a room to stay in and let us enjoy the pool for the whole day — incredibly thoughtful! On top of all that, the price is excellent! Highly recommend!

The only thing I didn't like was that the pool was closing at 8PM I think. It would be lovely to have that evening swim or a drink by the pool. All the other places I've been to that had a pool had it open until like 10 or 11PM, which was very nice, because you could actually use it after the whole day of sightseeing. This way we didn't get to use it much - and the pool they have and the area around it were really lovely!

This place is just simply lovely! Breakfasts were very tasty, staff was very helpful and nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is also great - close to the beach, and you have a few places to eat nearby. It was quiet too :) I loved the atmosphere of this place and i will definitely recommend it to my friends and family. The staff was always very helpful too - we had to leave early one day and we were given lunch boxes to go (it was still a pity to miss that breakfast because it was really delicious). I think for this price you couldn't find anything better - it's also close to the airport, only like fifteen minutes by car or something like that. It's a great spot to be at if you're planning on travelling by car to other places. All in all, this is a beautiful Hotel with amazing gardens and pool area. If I ever go back to this area I will definitely stay here.

We loved Gorgona hotel and highly recommend staying here if you visit Heraklion! The hotel staff was very kind and willing to go out of their way for us. The room we booked had garden view and was spotless from the moment we checked in! The hotel has an amazing pool area, full of green, which is a great place to sit and relax. We also very much enjoyed the breakfast. It had a variaty of fresh fruits and vegetables alongside fresh pastry! The hotel location is great with only 150m from the sea and alot of nice restaurants.Free parking also help us to is just at the front making it very convenient. We will definitely come back next year!

Everything was perfect!

After a 10 day trip around Crete for work my last night stay at Gorgona was the break I really needed. One can feel the smell of freshness around the hotel which is really clean. Cleaning is one of my priorities when choosing a hotel even if it is for an overnight. Of course, other than the comfortable rooms and the location the friendly staff is what makes it amazing. All of them were available when needed and willing to assist. That made me feel more than a hotel guest. I would like to thank you all!

Our stay at Gorgona Hotel in Amoudara was beyond our expectations! The location, the cosy atmosphere, the staff, everything was perfect. Nikos and Maria were the best, helpful and smiling. And of course, the room was big and clean, and the bed very comfortable. We had a very good night sleep. We spent only one night because we had to catch our flight from Heraklion airport but we will definitely come back for a longer stay in Heraklion and Gorgona Hotel!

It had a huge pool which was not very crowded at all. Sometimes we were the only ones at the pool. Perfect if you want to read. Not a party place. There is a bar where you can order drinks and coffee for a pretty good price .... better than in most Cafes. The place is close to restaurants close to a bus stop and close to the beach. Easy to walk to. Enough parking spaces belonging to the hotel.

Location is great, close to the beach and easy access to the city. The hotel rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. The most important aspect is that the staff make you feel like home. I enjoyed my stay and I will definitely go back.

Ants in the room. Noisy because the room door doesn't shut well. The balcony door cannot be shut (only the blinds door). The refrigerator was extremely noisy.
