My ground floor room faced on to a small road and therefore the curtains had to be drawn most of the time. This was fine for one night but would have been a pain if I had stayed much longer.

Very central but access requires many steps. The owner collected me from the airport which was great. He also was helpful in advising on a restaurant.

Nothing much except maybe the short steep hill or the steps. Also abit of noise from other residents as our room was right next to the main door. Earplugs did the trick, otherwise everything was good.

Good location just a stone's throw away from the port. Wonderful seaviews from our room. Michael was so kind to pick us up from the airport even though we arrived late at night. Good value for money.

We couldn't find the accommodation after getting off the Ferry. The directions are not correct and they have no signs to say Fresh Rooms, so we were lost for about 45 mins. I sent a message to Michael and he found us and drove us to the Accommodation. My suggestion is to be meet where your guest arrives (Airport or Ferry) with a sign "FRESH ROOMS". The room needs a really good clean between guests staying. The fridge should have bottles of water for the guests arrival also a ice tray with ice in the freezer and have some glasses for drinks. The washing line also needs more pegs for guests.

The view from the balcony was really great it overlooked the water and the airport. . I love to see the planes, ferries and boats coming and going.

The electrical system is old, not all sockets worked well. Some improvemnet would be necessary (e.g.the lavatory was broken). You must know that the perfect view has a fee, there are many steps to reach the harbour street, the apartment is on the hillside.

We rented a sea view apartment for three people in August 2024. This apartment is located on the top floor and it had two levels inside the apartment. Its view is simple perfect from the big corner balcony; it is its best, we could see the entire harbour area and the runway of the airport too. The apartment has an old fashioned charm (my 9 year old kid has never seen such an old TV :) ). There is a huge bed for two on the upper lever, where the ceiling is very short and one big single bed on the lower level. It has a small kitchenette, but it is not well equipped at all, only cups, glasses and cutlery were available. I asked some plates, and got some, but the owner informed me this place is not suitable for cooking (the information is different on booking.com) There are daily cleaning, what is great and the owner ensures airport/harbour transfers for free. The main bus stop is very close, you can see it from the balcony.

The kitchen units were as expected for a studio apartment but were not well equipped as no cutlery, plates etc. We were able to make a coffee in the morning but that was it.

The location was lovely with views over the harbour and it was a short walk downhill to the town. We had a family room for a couple and my mum which was perfect as we slept in a mezzanine floor and she had a bed downstairs so a degree of privacy was possible for our 1 night stay at the end of our holiday. Our ferry was extremely delayed but Michael arranged where to meet us and helped by driving us and our bags up to the apartment block although we still had a flight of stairs to climb so he kindly allowed us to store most of our luggage in his office as we only needed a few bits for the 1 night. The following day he also drove us to the airport which was very kind of him!

Steep hike from night out in holiday area back to accommodation

Location is fantastic, but DEFINITELY not for those who cannot handle stairs. The amazing location is in part b/c of the hill right behind the harbor on which the rooms are located, but that involves going up and down some very uneven and quirky old-town type stairs. You are very close to the old greek-style windmill overlooking the port. I saw some families with elderly members really struggling getting up/down the stairs - beware. Not a bust on FRESH Rooms though, it is simply the reality of the terrain.

Super flexible and supportive staff. Initial connection on arrival was a bit spotty, but overall the staff/owner was very pleasant and helpful. Coming off the ferry, I was instructed to meet at a cafe for pick-up which seemed strange, but within 20 minutes (busy time?), Michael showed up with a vehicle to drive me (and luggage) as close to the room as possible. A healthy flight of stairs later (and Michael was super helpful with luggage, and I observed the same treatment for other guests), I was in a larger and more comfortable room than expected. A request (via Booking.com messaging) for a missing kettle was also responded to promptly. Complementary ride to airport (short) was also great.

Not much really - perfect for the price.

Fresh Rooms are in a great location, our room (no. 9) was massive - church-like inside with a beamed ceiling. The bathroom was huge. I went with my 16 year old daughter and we shared a "large" double which is 2 very big singles attached and they are very comfortable. The balcony is perfect - as we were at the end, it overlooked the port and a hotel sign but I like this it feels very authentic Greece, and you can see the port and the sea which is lovely. You can walk to the town in a few minutes and there are steps or you can take more of a scenic route. Michael is the best host - he collected us and took us back to the airport - saves all the hassle of the bus. I will definitely stay here again, thank you Michael.

Next time we would pay more and stay in a more spacious room. We felt that the room was a little bit on the small side but that is what we paid for so not a problem.

The location was excellent and the room was kept spotlessly clean. Michael the host was really helpful, friendly and fun. We felt very much at home. This was our fourth time in Skiathos but our first time staying at Fresh Rooms. We would most definitely go back.

There was a mix up with our booking and we had to stay in a much smaller room for the 1st 3 nights. We were given no discount for this despite the owner saying he would give us one. There is no hot water in the mornings in either room, only in the evening. The self catering facilities are extremely limited.

Lovely owner who picks you up from the port or airport and drops you back which is very useful as there are steps up to the apartments and they are not clearly signed so would be difficult to find! The room we booked was room 9 which was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the port. The location is great with the town only minutes walk away.

There were a few practical issues with the facilities. The room didn’t have a balcony, which wasn’t a big problem for us, but there were no clotheslines outside the window, so we had nowhere to hang our towels or swimwear. As a result, they stayed wet, and even after we hung them in the bathroom, they didn’t dry by the next morning. Another problem was the showerhead, which was not cleaned properly and was full of limescale, making it difficult to use. The bathroom also lacked a soap holder in the shower area, so we had to leave our toiletries near the sink. This made the bathroom floor wet after every shower, as water spread everywhere. We were also disappointed with the cleanliness policy — during our 4-night stay, the room wasn’t cleaned at all. It was only on the fourth night that the cleaning lady replaced our dirty towels with clean ones, but that happened at our last day of staying, so it didn’t make any sense to us.

During our stay, we had a mix of positive and negative experiences. The owner, Mr. Michael, was very friendly and helpful, offering to pick us up from the port when we arrived and also driving us back to the port on the last day of our stay. The location of the property was excellent — close to the port, with easy access to the bus station and several supermarkets nearby, which was really convenient. The area was also quiet, and the air conditioning in the room worked perfectly.
