How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocation was perfect, a stones throw from the beach. Manos and his family were very friendly & attentive. They arranged Airport pickup & drop off, Taxis , Car Hire and gave us lots of Tourist information about things to do on the Island. Breakfast was extremely fresh & delicious with an excellent choice including fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs ,bacon and delicious bread. Lovely pool area which was very clean & well maintained. Excellent location near to shops , bars & restaurants. We had a Sea View Double room with a large balcony with Sunbeds & a Table & Chairs and Washing line. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean. There was aircon , a fridge & a free safe in the room. The bathroom was refurbished with lovely tiles and walk in shower. The room was serviced everyday and our bed was made with fresh linen everyday and fresh towels. There was a laundry service which we used. Dropped off at 10am and returned at 4pm , excellent service and very reasonable. Free sunbeds on the beach opposite the hotel and we ordered lunch and drinks which were served to us at our sunbeds. The food was delicious with an excellent choice . Our favourites were the Fresh Mango Smoothies, Tzatziki with Pita, Greek Salads and Chicken Goujons. Thank you to Manos and his family and staff for a wonderful stay. A fantastic hotel and very well run. We will be back and will highly recommend to anyone. 😀

Verified reviewWe had a room with sea view. The view is the only thing valuable. The cleaning staff is attentive and they make a very good job.
The bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen in an hotel during my entire life. The shower is made with a plastic curtain. The water pressure and temperature always change during your shower. Towels are extremely old, scratchy, almost unusable. The breakfast is repetitive, always the same, poor in choices and quality, no espresso, cappuccino or whatsoever. Common swimmimg pool is really really small. The cost of the room was preatty high and above the average in Kamari. Absolutely no value for the money you pay.

Verified reviewThey treated us like family. My girlfriend has glutenu free diet, and it was no problem to choose from the menu - they even bring separated food. Don't be afraid to ask.

Verified reviewAbsolutely perfect stay! The apartment was spotless, beautifully maintained, and in an unbeatable location — right on the beach, with stunning views. Manos and his family were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, a great way to start the day. I also want to mention their honesty and kindness — I accidentally left my jewellery in the apartment, and Manos kept it safe for me until I could return to collect it. That really says everything about the way they treat their guests. I would recommend Seaside by Manos without hesitation and can’t wait to come back!

Verified reviewWe were 7 days in Seaside by Manos. All staffs are so friendly, nice and really take care of the guest. The breakfast was good, everthing you need is provided. We got new renovated room, which was really nice with the side view of of Kamari Beach. The location is very good, many restaurants, supermarket and beachfront. Very recommended place to stay in Santorini.

Verified reviewIt was beautiful. Exactly as the pictures. Manos and his wife daughter and staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We had breakfast every day which was very lovely and we ate in the evening and the food was amazing. The pool was wonderful and our room very clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast overlooking the beach as it was literally a few steps away from the hotel.
There was nothing to dislike. It was perfect.

Verified reviewWhat a gem of a hotel! Manos & Xrisanna can’t do enough for you, they made us feel so welcome in their beautiful hotel. Breakfast was delicious each morning, as were the drinks and evening meals. The homemade Armoneville dessert is fantastic. The hotel location is perfect too, a great base for exploring the island. We instantly felt relaxed after being there only a few hours and can’t wait to return

Verified reviewLocated immediately across a small road / promenade from the beach with many restaurants and several shops all within a short walking distance. Our room was a very good size with comfortable bed and great sea view from our large balcony (room 5). A great choice of foods at breakfast served to you - not buffet style but you could always ask for more if you wanted it. Very nice restaurant and bar area with good choice of drinks and food. The best thing of all here is the personal attention of Manos, his wife, family and staff. They are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them to ensure that your stay is really enjoyable.

Verified reviewWe enjoyed everything about our stay. An amazing family atmosphere in the most beautiful location. We especially appreciated the little extras, such as a slice of homemade galatopita (I had to come home and make it myself, but it isn't as good!). Don't hesitate to book here and get up for the amazing sunrise!
It was perfect.

Verified reviewWe stayed at Seaside 28 years ago when it first opened. We loved it then and we love it now. Manos was a young lad then and helped his father, Giorgos around the hotel. Manos, just like his dad, is very friendly and always willing to help. The hotel has been divided between Manos and his brother, Nikos. It’s been extended and modernised. Our room was spacious with a lovely bathroom with a super powerful shower. Everything was spotless.
