Because it’s an old house, there are not enough sockets where you would wish to have it. Although it’s generally very peaceful and calm, there could be some noise of other tourists who rent the other appartment in the same property (because the yard is small and windows are usually open).

I liked my little studio in the old authentic house in the heart of Skala very much. It’s old style furniture, its calmness and coolness in hot summer. Even the fact, that there was no view (just to the yard) it’s part of its authentic old style Greek atmosphere. The service and cleaning were excellent. Katherina is a very kind- hearted!

Ceiling fans would be nice and a few sharp knives but otherwise brilliant.

Little soundproofing We could all words and sounds from neighbouring room which was annoying. The website isn’t clear that when booking 2 of the ground floor rooms there are guests in between 1 metre away. Checkout time clearly said on booking at 12 noon which helped with our 1pm ferry. We were asked to leave by 11am. Better to know that in advance.

Location Admired the conversion work to make the mansion into nice rooms Good facilities especially fridge and coffee machine.

If you struggle with stairs, the upstairs apartment is not for you.

We had a family of 6 adults and hired the 2 bedroom apartment for four and the studio for two. It was like home, spacious inside and out, equipped with everything you would need. The views from the upstairs apartment were like from a travel magazine. Easy walk from the ferry port and in the middle of main area with essential shops and restaurants. All six of us loved this place.

There was nothing not to like.

Really quirky accommodation we loved it. Katerina was a delightful host and very helpful. She actually came to see us off at the ferry. We had a private terrace which was nice. The location was great for exploring Skala.and handy for the shops and tavernas. Nice and quiet at night. Handy for ferry port.

Creaking from people moving around in above unit but that’s to be expected in an older building. Wasn’t bothersome but noticeable.

Comfortable spacious unit in central location within walking distance to port, eateries and shops. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely sunny furnished courtyard to relax in.

Katerina was a perfect host. Accomodating in every possible way. Helped connect me with another property because I made an error on check in dates. Allowed me to check out late in the evening prior to the ferry arrival. Location was perfect. Less than 5mins to the port and within walking distance to all places of interest. Full kitchen facilities. Katerina the caretaker was lovely.

A warm welcome from Katerina who also came to see us off on the ferry. Lovely traditional accommodation in the centre of Skala, close to the port, shops and tavernas but in a tucked away location. We loved being next to the church and being woken by the bells and hearing the Greek Orthodox chanting - very special. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in the accommodation and a nice outside area where we could relax.

The studio apartment was amazing for a couple and a dog. The location of the room is very central in Skala, so everything is at walking distance. The car parking was also very close. We also had a little private yard. The room was really clean and the stuff was very friendly and assertive. Would definitely go back next time we are in Patmos.

The double bed could be just a little bigger in width. Besides that everything is perfect.

Great location at the center of Scala port. The staff was highly professional and helpful. Great room , recently renovated, combining traditional and modern with harmony and balance. Really beautiful and relaxing location.

More plugs near the bed would be great!

The location is great, only a couple of minutes’ walk from the port but still very quiet and private. The living room of the apartment was really pretty and comfortable, it would be great for a long stay, and the outside courtyard was also a great place to relax. The instructions for finding the house at night were easy, and the owner was helpful when I contacted her.

The best thing about this accommodation is the location! Right in the centre (Skala), close to everything and ideal for hiking. Traditional house, very clean, very quiet. Big praise to Mrs Katerina, whatever you need she is always there for you! Thank you for an unforgettable stay! ❤️🇬🇷❤️

I have stayed in many places and have never had a better host than Katerina. She far exceeded usual expectations in looking after us, changing the towels regularly and checking every day to see that everything was okay. The location was absolutely ideal, right next to a charming Orthodox church in the centre of the town. We were renting part of what used to be her family home and it was blessed with an authentic historical character that is hard to find, along with excellent facilities. The bells ringing on Sunday morning were no problem for us - they were enchanting. We walked all the way up to the Monastery in Chora several times and were delighted with the whole experience.
