Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe fitness center was small and it didn’t offer much in terms of equipment. We also did not find any clear information for outdoor yoga or pilates sessions. Additionally, our room was smaller than shown in the pictures.
The location is excellent, convenient and peaceful. The overall environment was serene, well-maintained, and clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming, except the male receptionist.

AustraliaAlthough restaurant and bar staff were excellent and worthy of 5⭐️ they were let down by a colleague in reception who desperately needs some training on customer service and the importance of being accomodating to guests. Also considering there are no porters perhaps some trolleys or other device to help guests take luggage to their rooms would be appreciated.
Comfortable and clean well appointed rooms and suites.

Greecethe gym is very minimal, also breakfast has the same options every day. The pool and room towels could be improved. and you definitely need a car if you want to explore the surrounding towns and beaches. The staff at the front desk could are not the kindest team, they could learn from their colleagues in the bar and restaurant.
Lovely little resort with a very nice pool area, pool bar and restaurant. The bungalows are spacious and are good value for money. The staff in the restaurant and bar are very kind and helpful. The pool is a lovely shape and the salt water was nice. we also enjoyed the pool table and the table tennis. The spa offers nice treatments.

United KingdomThere weren’t many vegetarian options at the buffet that we could see when we looked but this may have varied on different nights. We ordered from the main menu.
The well designed grounds, kind and attentive staff, clean and modern decor. Very spacious pool area, lots of food and drink options throughout the day including room service. Lovely, quiet location about 20 minutes walk to the town centre. Would highly recommend!

United KingdomI would have liked a hand rail by the steps into the pool. I was still recovering from a broken ankle and so not 100% on my mobility and I was worried about slipping on the steps. So due to no handrail to steady myself, I didn't feel confident and so was unable to use the pool. though the pool itself was a decent size and usually quiet and looked nice to actually swim in.
Beautiful hotel set in quiet grounds, which never felt crowded. There were usually sun loungers in the garden or by the pool, and extra available to put down if required. Excellent cocktails by the bar. Rooms very spacious and comfortable and recently renovated

United KingdomIf I had to be picky the breakfast was a bit average, compared to the rest of the food we experienced while on the island. The pool was FREEZING and far too salty, it wasnt very child friendly as the shallow end was 1.5m and the 'children's pool' was small.
This was a beautiful little find! We turned up and were immediately made to feel very welcome! The staff were amazing and so so friendly, I was taken back how much attention they paid to each of their guests. We were traveling with our toddler and they all made him feel very special! This felt genuine and we all really enjoyed ourselfs. The rooms were very modern and facilities amazing, a beautiful place to wind down for a week! I would highly recommend!

United KingdomSometimes the location can feel a little far away from the main centre of Elounda. We often walked it, but it can sometimes feel too long if you're doing it every day. The dinner/tea let the hotel down I feel. We had dinner/tea at the hotel 2 out of our 10 evenings, and each time it wasn't great. We were far happier eating in town. There's much better choice.
The hotel is beautiful, super clean and the pool area was so relaxed. The staff were superb, in particular Nicoleta who helped us with places to go, excursions, taxis and everything else. The pool area was super relaxing, and you should always be able to find a place to sit. There's plenty of room if you fancy a light bite or a drink. Once again, the staff are all relaxed and lovely. There's also a table tennis table if that's your thing near the pool. With breakfast, there was a lovely choice of hot and cold snacks, fruit, cereal, etc. Something for everyone. It's about 50 minutes from Heraklion Airport so it's not too long if you're either renting a car or taking a taxi. The time goes quite fast as well I found. It was about 90 euros (For a taxi) It's about a 20/25 minute walk from the centre of Elounda, so that may be a good thing for some, and not for others. We found that on the few times we took a taxi, it was about 8 euros to and from Elounda. Elounda itself is beautiful as well, and there's plenty to find in and around it.

United KingdomThe pool is a combination of salt water and chlorine, due to my eczema, I broke out into a rash the first day and couldn’t use the pool the rest of the week. The pool should be either salt or chlorine, both is dangerous and unpleasant.

United KingdomNot enough sun loungers by the pool for the size of the hotel, adding even just another 6-8 would make a difference. The food & drinks were lovely , but quite pricey compared to eating in equally nice places outside the hotel. Cleanliness of rooms could be improved by housekeeping. Don’t think floors were swept (or swept well) in the 8 days we were there. Gym pretty basic & not the cleanest (no wipes/ sprays provided to clean equipment after use) Spa customer service not great, left several messages to try and book in massages and they never got back to us , so we didn’t get to book in in the end. When we arrived we were put in a room I’d never even seen advertised on their website or booking.com and it certainly wasn’t the room we booked. We booked a garden view room, which also had a lounge area etc. The room we were put in was a small corner room with no garden view, looked into a roof, and no lounge area - very basic. Again, I’ve never seen this kind of room advertised and none of their pictures are like this. We complained but had to stay one night in the wrong room and we were moved to an appropriate room more alike to what we had booked around midday the following day, which was lovely. It just shouldn’t have happened in the first place especially when we’d booked the room months ago.
Friendly staff, especially in the bar & restaurant area. Rooms decorated tastefully, and lovely pool area. Excellent food in poolside restaurant and really great cocktails

United KingdomStunning hotel! Really nice chilled vibe about it. The room was really spacious & modern. We had a Garden View room on the 1st floor but could still see the sea from our balcony. The pool and bar area were so lovely, with extra sunbeds available. The staff were always super helpful and friendly. Great location- it’s about a 20 min walk down into Elounda which we did each night for dinner. Would definitely recommend and come back!

United KingdomI missed a full length mirror in the room. The hotel sits on large grounds and there are rooms that will be very quiet. We stayed in a garden view room at the front which was beside the road and car park so meant there was often noise. It didn’t impact me much but it impacted my partners quality of sleep. The location is quite far out of Elounda centre but it we enjoyed the walk as long as it wasn’t too hot.
The hotel is beautiful, well kept and clean. The cocktails and drinks at the bar are lovely. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The hotel left a fruit bowl, a card and cava in the room for our arrival (free of charge) because the holiday was for a special birthday. The sunbathing space at the pool area is lovely although quite small. We spent a lot of time sunbathing on the grass area with the “spare sun beds” but I didn’t mind this. There are numerous rooms that have sun loungers on the terrace/balcony but we didn’t book this type of room. There is table tennis and pool along with a small playground for children. We enjoyed played table tennis and pool. The hotel also set up a “cinema” to watch the Olympics at night. There is lots of seating at the pool bar (tables, couches, lounge chairs). There is potential there to have more sun loungers and less tables.
