As for small points of improvement: - It would have been convenient to have an iron or steamer available directly in the room (we were able to get one from reception, but it had to be returned), and tissues in the bathroom would also be a nice addition. - The staff overall was fantastic, with just one exception. A receptionist in the late afternoon/evening who, on two occasions, came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. We simply avoided further interaction with her to keep our experience positive. - One thing to keep in mind if you’re visiting in August is the constant sound of cicadas throughout the day until nightfall. While it’s a natural part of the Cretan landscape, it can make sitting on the balcony less relaxing when you just want a little relaxation. That said, you eventually get used to it and it certainly wouldn’t stop me from returning.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Elios Hill in Crete, and I honestly regretted not booking a few more days. From the friendly staff and the wide variety of food to the overall atmosphere, everything contributed to a truly enjoyable holiday. Although it’s mostly a family-oriented resort, the adult-only area offers a nice retreat if you’re looking for a quieter space away from the main pool, which makes it equally suitable for adults traveling without children. All in all, this was a top-notch experience, and I would absolutely come back to this amazing resort!

Our stay at Elios Hill was absolutely amazing. The facilities are modern, clean, and beautifully designed, the food was delicious and varied every day, and the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel was exceptional. But what truly made this experience stand out was the incredible service. Every staff member was kind and attentive, but special thanks must go to the hotel manager, George, who went above and beyond to make sure every small detail was perfect. George’s warm hospitality and attention made our vacation truly perfect. We’ll definitely be coming back – highly recommended!

While deserts were amazing, food was good quality but average taste for us. We missed the flavor of Greek food. The drinks were also quite average taste , I would have expected better given the prices. The kids swimming pool felt small and overcrowded, we went in August; it felt we were cornered by floaties at all times - which is expected for kids pool but could have been avoided with bigger pool. The adult one though was quite calm and empty.

The property is new and very modern, boho chic style, super clean - the rooms are cleaned daily. It is a family hotel so they do a good job to cater for kids - kids corner, big new and clean playgrounds, pool slides. The kids were definitely entertained. The deserts were amazing, good quality, yummy cakes. Dj night at the bar was a hit for us and the kids, very good atmosphere.

I was there on the most busy week of the year. The swimming pool for families was a little too small for this volume of people. But honestly, provided that everything else was great, I highly recommend this hotel!

The Al la Carte restaurants had a nice ambiance but the food was average- no Mexican flavours in the Mexican restaurant and we only got one booking for a 5 night stay (you get 3 for 7 nights). The tram up to the top of the hill could be more regular, but the staff would take you up in a buggy if you could wait a little. The hotel could do with a few more loungers round the pool.

The buffet food was tasty and piping hot with a big selection and fresh salads regularly topped up. Nothing was left sat out for ages. The water park was really fun and adult pools peaceful. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were really helpful. There’s water fountains around the hotel so you can top up your own bottles.

I’m happy to share the absolutely amazing experience my family and I had from the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. The hotel itself is of an exceptionally high standard, modern, beautifully designed rooms with top-quality finishes and a super comfortable bed that made it hard to get up in the morning! The food was fresh, delicious, and of the highest quality throughout the day. We were traveling with our daughter who has celiac disease, and the kitchen staff was simply incredible, so attentive, careful, and kind. They made sure she had safe, tasty gluten-free meals every single time. In fact, the food was so good that the whole family would wait for her to finish just so we could try her gluten-free dishes too! The variety of cocktails and premium alcohol added an extra touch of luxury, making the experience even more special for the adults. Our kids had the time of their lives splashing around in the pool, laughing and playing endlessly. The hotel facilities are outstanding: an indoor football field, game rooms, and so much more to keep the whole family entertained. We treated ourselves to a spa day, and it was heavenly. The treatments were professional and relaxing, the wellnace facility was brand new and amazing. But the true highlight of our stay was the staff. We've traveled to many places around the world, but we have never experienced such kindness, warmth, and genuine care. Every single person went above and beyond, and the hotel manager, what a special human being! It was both an honor and a pleasure to be welcomed so warmly. We wholeheartedly recommend Helios Hills to anyone visiting Crete or anywhere in Greece. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

The hotel is located on a hill, as we knew in advance. The issue was that our rooms were at the far end of the property, up the hill, and with toddlers, the walk was challenging. We had to rely on the internal shuttle train or a golf cart. If the rooms had been closer to the pool, it would have been a perfect experience. Additionally, there was no lifeguard at the main pool, so even the older kids had to be closely supervised.

A new, beautiful, and well-designed hotel with stylish rooms and a stunning sea view. The buffet meals were excellent, with great restaurants on site. Light bites and delicious cocktails were served at the various bars by the pool, near the water slides, and on the rooftop. The main pool is large, and the kids’ pool is great too. The water slides are fantastic – varied, fun, high enough to be exciting but not too scary – perfect for both our toddlers and our ten-year-olds. The spa and adults-only pool were lovely as well. Overall, an excellent experience.

Everything!! The best hotel for family vacation Very children friendly with variety of activites all day. Amazing kids zone and kida club, clean and safe with very nice friendly staff. One of the best hotels I have ever been! Everything was perfect The food tasty, super clean, variety of food and very nice staff making and serving with big smile. Pool bars and snack bars all day long. The rooms were very big (we had the suits) perfect for family with children with two separate bathrooms, spqcious place and two balconies). We had an amazing stay at the hotel—it’s beautifully new with plenty to do throughout the day. The food was excellent, and the three on-site restaurants were truly exceptional. We especially loved the adults-only pool at the top of the hotel—it looked like something straight off Instagram and was the perfect place to relax. The gym and spa were brilliant, and finishing each evening at the Cloud Bar with a sunset view was a real highlight. The facilities were great and the hotel is so gorgeous, clean and generally has everything you need from a pool, spa, water park, kids club perspective etc. The cloud bar views and sunsets are soo lovely!

The only thing that disappointed us was the quality of the food in the buffet restaurant. It wasn't bad, it was just ok. Every other aspect of this hotel impressed us, but the food in the main restaurant really didn't live up to the standard set by the hotel in other areas and could've been better. Furthermore, these are a bit more subjective, but still worth mentioning: - The hotel is located further away from the beach (the walking path is non-existent) and only provides 1 shuttle a day to and back from the beach. I think it would've been nicer to have them more frequent for people who would like to have an option to go at more favourable times. - During our stay there was a group of people drinking strong alcohol straight from bottles and loudly singing by the slides pool. I feel that staff could've acted upon on this as bringing glass by the pool wasn't allowed by the pool rules. - The coffee offered by the hotel is quite basic and e.g. no fredo-espresso or other nice coffees, it could be added even if as a paid option (we ended up ordering from Coffee Island several times who deliver to the hotel which was super nice).

First and foremost, the hotel and the whole territory looks amazing from the inside facilities, to the awesome tram that goes around the territory, to the gym and all pool areas, everything is just really nice. It had a recent grand renovation and it looks very modern and slick. In some areas of the hotel like the balcony in the Greek + Mexican restaurant area you enter and you feel wow'ed, really good work on the design. The staff is very friendly and helpful, really everyone on the territory is always smiling and happy to help which we really appreciated. The water slides and the children facilities overall are very nice and suited our child, compliments again. The entertainment was also quite good and enjoyable. The food at the a la carte restaurants is very nice, we enjoyed every time we went, totally recommend to book those, we were really happy that there was enough availability in those for us to try every restaurant. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Exceptional family friendly hotel with amazing service and views! We had an unforgettable stay at Elios Hill! We’re a couple with two small children (ages 3.5 and 6 months), and this hotel exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The service was outstanding warm, personal, and truly caring. Every member of the team made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and very family-friendly. Our room was spacious, clean, and had an incredible view. The food was delicious and varied, also for kids! The all-inclusive experience was really worth it. The pool area is fantastic, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We also loved how easy it was to explore the nearby villages and nature spots — all within short driving distance.
