Thank you for your review. I want to be clear for people reading this review. The room is not in a basement. It has a window and door to the outside therefore it is impossible to be in a basement. It is lower than the entrance door but this is because the whole building is built on a hill and therefore most of the rooms are lower than the entrance door, even the rooms with sea views.

Thank you for your review. We try to make our descriptions very accurate so you can make a choice with what you book. We actually say on the description of this room that it does not come with a balcony or private outdoor space. We are sorry that you didn't read or understand this information but it is there, clearly for you to see. The room has a window, although high up. We show a clear photgraph of this so you can see. We do not try to hide anything. It is up to you to be more careful when booking in the future. Thank you for your comments.

Thank you for your review. I will say that we have no rooms in a basement. It is true you go downstairs from the main entrance but our hotel is built on a hill. Every room has windows and the room you were in has a corridor and an entrance to the street, meaning it cannot be in the basement. The photographs prove this by showing a window that stretches the length of the room. Definitely not 'under street level'.

Thank you for your review. I would just like to make a few comments. The economy rooms are not located in the basement. They are at ground level. The hotel is built into a hill and therefore has entrances on different levels. The photographs of these rooms clearly show windows proving they cannot be in a basement even though you go downstairs on entry. The economy rooms have a seating area outside but they do not have a balcony. We are very clear about this in our description when we say 'ground floor and has a seating area'. It was very hot during your stay so all rooms will feel humid although we do provide free air conditioning which will help with your comfort. The economy rooms do not have patio doors so maybe not so much opportunity to let in fresh air. The reason we class these rooms as economy is that they don't have private balconies or sea views. We have many different categories of rooms for people to choose depending on their budget. Of course there will be a difference between the economy rooms and those more expensive rooms. We hope our guests choose what they require and are happy with their choice. Once again Thank you for your feedback.
