Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe only problem was that the wifi is very weak inside the apartment and it was impossible to be used. Something we discussed with John which promised to take care…
Very close to the center, anything to buy, close to bus station, close to the beach. John is a very nice person and Fani is very effective with the cleaning:-)

I loved everything about Electra. It was close to the centre of town, the room was perfect with a really comfy bed, and John and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.

United KingdomElectra hotel is in a really good location, being in Aegina town but away from the noisier roads. The owner was very welcoming, with Fani, who cleaned the rooms doing an excellent job keeping them sparkling clean very day. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

ItalySince our arrival, we immediately felt welcomed and at home. It was evident the great attention put into details to make our stay extremely comfortable: the clothes hanger at the entrance, the racks to lift our suitcases from the floor, the wardrobe with plenty of hangers, the hooks for towels in the bathroom, the clothesline in the balcony to place swimwear to dry, a bottle of water already in the fridge, the comfortable bed. Bathroom on the small size and toilet paper to throw in a bin, but this is typical in Greek Islands. The owner Ioannis was always available for questions or suggestions, we found his advices always great. The cleaning lady Fanny was always kind and smiling, surprising us with fruit or local products. We really enjoyed the breakfast at Rena's place, just few meters away, or the pies and sweets from the Bakery. Great also the terrace on the roof, to enjoy a nice view during the evenings. Perfect location, very central (few minutes from the port, taxi station, bus station and beach), but also extremely quite during the night. Overall, we had a great time in Aegina, we would definitely like to come and stay again 💙

New ZealandNothing everything was great, and great value for money.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Electra Hotel. Iannis couldn't be more helpful, whatever we needed or whatever wasn't working, he dealt with it immediately. We received a warm welcome and made feel very much at home. The room was cleaned every day, which we appreciated, especially with the inadequate Greek toilet system. The apartment was very close to the port less than 5 minute walk and easy to pull our suitcases to our destination. Our room had a lovely balcony, and the roof terrace was fabulous. We loved the authenticity of the island and all the support and help we received from Iannis and his fabulous cleaning lady who was so kind and generous and gave us some good advice as to where to go for breakfast to a lady just around the corner running a little cafe from her home. This was one of our favorite stays and we would definitely return. Aegina and this little place were just fabulous if you are looking for an authentic Greek experience. Thank you both for such a wonderful stay.

United KingdomIt was very quiet and restful and yet easy walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants. Our host ,John, was very attentive and friendly. The cleaner ,also kept the rooms clean and tidy and made sure we had enough teabags etc. We were even able to borrow beach towels. It was a small property which made it a more personal experience than a large hotel. There was a spacious roof terrace as well as our own terrace.

TurkeyThe hotel was very central, just a 5-6 minute walk from the ferry port. John welcomed us at the hotel. He was very friendly and helped us a lot since it was our first time on the island. Our room was very clean and was cleaned every day. The thing that made us happiest during our stay at Electra was having a beautiful terrace. Watching the sunset from there was a real pleasure

Nestled in the picturesque island of Aegina, the location of this charming accommodation offers the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. The serene surroundings made it a true paradise for relaxation, with beautiful views and a peaceful ambiance that instantly made us feel at home. AustraliaThe accommodation was just as we expected it to be, but I have given it 5 stars for the incredible staff. The husband and wife that run the place are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you around, even bringing us fresh fruit in the morning for breakfast. Very hospitable people who will make you feel right at home.

United KingdomEverything! Electra is a small hotel 2mins from the port and many restaurants/shops/cafes in Aegina Town. Mr John was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The room was kept very clean by Fanny and the cakes left for us each day were lovely. Good recommendations from Mr John and was easy to get the bus to other beaches - we visited Agia Marina and Marathon A, and thought they were nicer than the local beach in Aegina Town.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like - the apartments are very much old school Greek accommodation which was fine for us. A few more kitchen utensils might have been helpful but when we asked for bowls for breakfast in the morning they were quickly provided
A very welcoming host and an upper floor room with a small seating area outside. The room was a reasonable size and the bathroom and shower, although a little old fashioned, were perfectly serviceable. Beds were made and rooms cleaned daily and the service was excellent.
