Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There’s nothing I didn’t like.
A very beautiful hotel, tastefully decorated. Every detail has been considered; it’s a truly delightful place. The sheets and towels were always changed and smelled wonderful. The spotless cleanliness of our room made us very happy. The hotel owner and her daughter were very attentive and sweet. They always took care of us and were very supportive. We want to go again and stay at Effie’s once more. Thanks for everything!

It was one of the cleanest place I have ever been. It is 2-3 mins away from the perfect beach and nice tavernas. Loved the garden and kitty the owners adopted couple of months ago.

Superbly clean and very peaceful location. Well maintained garden. Efficient aircon and all one could need to prepare a simple meal….although we always ate out… Room was beautifully cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. The tv also had excellent reception and English channels for news.

We loved everything! The location is great, very close to the beach but also not too central, very quiet. Our room had a double bed, a small kitchen with all the basics and a balcony. Cleanliness was also impeccable! Thank you for your tips and hospitality!

Great accommodation. Lovely host who went over and above for us. Close to Alinda beach which was very nice. Access to rest of the island by local bus if you don’t want to hire a car or scooter. Very quiet island, great place to chill out with lots of nice restaurants close to Effie’s. It was the nicest accommodation we had on our holiday in Greece and Turkey.

It would have been good if there was a shower curtain or a cabin in bathroom, the floor was getting wet .
The host ( Tasula) is very nice , sweet lady. She welcomed me at the reception and provided the necessary information about the studio and the island and important sites , beaches etc. She helped me rent a car and also made me a reservation at a very nice well known restaurant on the last nite of my stay. The room is big and clean and comfortable. Air condition , tv, hot water, big closet, plates, cups, glasses ,small cooker, anything you would need if you want to cook.A terrace with a table and chairs outside and also table and chairs inside. Room was cleaned everyday. You can hear the sound of the waves if you keep the windows open at night. (I liked it.) The place is 5 minutes walk to the beach and shops and restaurants are very close by in Alinda. There is parking available. I will definitely be back. Efharisto !

Inside the apartment the only furniture to fix was the tube of the shower, everything else was ok. Lastly, not a criticism but an advice, you will need to rent a scooter to reach the most interesting places of the island.
The group of apartments is located in a quiet street close to the main road, with bars and restaurant walking distance. Our apartment was very big and well cleaned. The external garden was very nice and relaxing. Staff was kind and supported us with the communication with taxis and gave us nice suggestions on beaches, places to go and restaurants.

Nothing regarding the residence. About the surroundings: the closest beach and bay of Alindi is not one of the best in Leros (but Dio Liskaria, 15 mins walk, is) and, like it often happens here, there's no sidewalk whatsoever!
big apartment on 1st floor, wide terrace, fully equipped; everything you need for some some days on the island. Tasoula was a very helpful host, and it was nice to hear an owl in the tall trees in front of the residence. Bus stop at 10 minutes walk.

Maybe the shower handle falling off the wall. Have to hold it.
3 minute walk to the beach. Everthing you need is provided in a comfortable room. Area is quiet. The owner and her beautiful daughter (Queen and princess of Leros!) were very kind and helpful.

The studios are calm and peaceful, enjoying a fantastic location only 100m from the beach at Alinta. The studios were roomy and comfortable, equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. It was very hot so we appreciated the air conditioning, although our balcony also caught the breeze and was a lovely spot to sit our and enjoy breakfast, or an evening drink. The gardens are beautiful. There are excellent tavernas nearby. The owners are friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was a little small but the owner is going to update in the near future.
Rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean with a cleaner going every 2 days to change bedding and towels. Family-run business with the owner doing everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. Well kept gardens at the front and a good size parking area at the back. Only a 5 minute walk to the main road with all the restaurants.
