Location, though the location is good to enjoy quite alone family time but if you depends on the public transport than you would find it bit out of comfort to walk till bus stop as its around 600 m and bus timetable is not reliable nor abailable on google maps specially during summer and if you have a young kid

You should definitely have a rental car to get around to places. But then again - a rental car is a must anyway when in Santorini.

The host Theoni is simply incredible, very welcoming and helpful. The place itself is pristine, very native to Santorini, has a cosy cave feel. And the breakfast was indulging!

Very welcoming place. Everyone is really nice, and especially Theoni who knows everything and will give you good recommendations for the area. There is a public bus 10-15 minutes walk to go to Thira and you can transfer there for Oia . Buses are big and comfortable . Breakfast are wonderfull and they will bring it to your room. We love our 3 days trip. We recommend a taxi to go to nice restaurants. We just love it!!!!

Huge and comfortable room with two large bathrooms and a very large terrace with patio, umbrella, deck chairs and a small pool with private hydromassage. Kitchen equipped with everything, friendly and helpful staff. The location is a bit secluded from the more "tourist" points of the island but this guarantees silence, quiet and privacy. Recommended especially if after a day at the beach you like the idea of ​​relaxing on the terrace looking at the stars and maybe being pampered by the hydromassage.

The only down side was the steps up to the apartment but again our wonderful hostess Theoni helped carry our bags up and down.

The host Theoni was super friendly and super helpful. The apartment was awesome and unique. Lovely big comfortable beds, large bathroom and our own plunge pool. The kitchen and dining were roomy and even though we could have made our own they supplied a delightful breakfast each morning. Highly recommended.

The cleaniness of the pool could be better, we found some hairs (not ours) at the bottom of the pool. However, this was not a high inconvenience as we removed them easily. The location may not be convenient if you don’t have a car/ moto/ATV. However, the hosts makes it extremely easy to arrange your means of transportation and you can have a vehicle delievered at the main door for a very reasonable price. For us, it was perfect.

Drop Caves is a dream. We had a fantastic time. The host, Theoni, was wonderful: she met us and made sure we were comfortable at our arrival in Santorini. She was really helpful. Cindy, our housekeeper, was very nice and professional. The facilities are clean and very nice, and the breakfast is very complete. It’s a perfect spot for relaxation in a Greek-style villa.

Although in a quiet part of the island, it is also a ten minute drive to Fira on the bus. There is a bus stop about an 8 min east walk from the caves where the bus would pick us up from but they wouldn’t drop us off there, we had to get off at Mesaria which was then a 15 min walk back but was an easy walk. It isn’t a big draw back but just something to keep in mind if you want to get in to Fira and come back later at night. The bus system is very easy though so it was easy to navigate regardless. It was also very nice to be out of Fira and Oia in the middle of summer which were very busy. The doors in the caves for bedrooms and bathroom are a bit hard to close and are very loud when you open them. The exit light near the front door stays on all night so the bedroom closest to the kitchen is bright all night as it has windows into the living area and kitchen. It could have been an issue with us though not finding the switch and we got used to it.

The host was incredible and very accommodating. She was always available via WhatsApp and helped sort out everything we needed such as transfers. The pool was very nice, nice and warm but still refreshing. Everything was very comfortable! It is in a very quiet area, new places being built around it so it’s in a very quiet area of the island. The breakfast is brought to you in the morning at a time that suits you and includes eggs (we had a different type each day!), bacon, fruit, yogurt, breads, coffee and orange juice and was delicious! Our phone service wasn’t the best in the area so the wifi was very handy and was very reliable. The property is nice and cool in the middle of summer. There were three TVs! One in living room and one in each of the bedrooms. The bathroom was huge and the shower was amazing. It was so big and great water pressure. The host happily organises transfers for a good price to the airport or port and from there as well. She is awesome and made the stay so wonderful!
