There is nothing not to like about this place. We have stayed there twice and would highly recommend it. The staff are all so attentive and helpful nothing is too difficult. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This is a gem of a hotel, nestled right in the heart of the old port above eateries with access through the front restaurant or the rear. Breakfast is served from a menu with great options to choose from and is just perfect.

Great location and hotel, so I really don't want to say anything negative, but here you go: Something that's strange to me: breakfast is served backwards (imo). I would like my food + orange juice and then the other guff (croissants etc) afterwards, if I am so minded.

Unreal staff. Spot on! Had a few minor issues which we reported to reception for posterity, Most of these have been covered by other reviewers. A treasure in Chania. Super accommodating and helpful staff. Bravo!

Old Italian mansion renovated with exquisite taste. We enjoyed the superbe view on the port from our duplex room ( Luigi). Accommodations are modern, beautifully designed and comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is plentiful and out of this world !

Aircon didn’t work as expected on the first night. We found the place a little stuffy without it even in the winter, but this could be because we came from the tropics.

The view from our suite is unforgettably stunning. Breakfast was great and service was attentive and genuine. We had really good restaurant recommendations and ideas of what to do in Chania during our short stay here. It will be hard to come back to Chania without staying at this hotel again!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but, being really picky, the bathroom in the standard suite was a little on the small side and we didn’t really use the little lounge area on the mezzanine level so that was wasted space for us in a room with quite a small footprint, although the lofted ceiling made it feel more spacious. Generally the hotel - an historic building - was beautifully designed and sympathetically renovated.

Perfect location right on the harbour front. It was lovely to wake up to that beautiful view of the sea and the Egyptian lighthouse. All the staff were exceptional but Ramona and George in particular were so helpful and couldn’t have taken better care of us - they made our stay. The breakfasts were also amazing. We would definitely stay there again.

Our room was too close to a restaurant, would have lighting in room until around 2 am even with room darkening blinds. Noise was not a factor, sometimes cooking smells would waft up so could not really open windows, minor issues for us.

Outstanding service with concierge, very professional, recommended wonderful restaurants and places to visit, accommodations very clean, comfortable, amazing breakfasts!

Our room had a spectacular view of the Venetian harbor. It is a beautiful restoration and update of an historic building. Everything was done in good taste. The bathroom spa tub and rain shower were excellent. The bed was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and nicely presented.

It is a beautiful old building in a great part of the old town, the room was super clean and comfortable and the view over the old town was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts at the hotel are excellent - it’s like a traditional English afternoon tea but at breakfast and the main courses were really lovely.

We had a wonderful stay overall, but there are a few areas for improvement. We experienced a bit of 'abruptness' from one of the reception staff, which stood out as less welcoming. It’s possible there was a 'lost in translation' issue or a language barrier that contributed to this, as the rest of the staff were perfectly warm and welcoming. As with any hotel, there are always small quirks to figure out, such as how the shower works or how to lock the door. While the staff did assist, we got the impression that our inquiries were seen as a bit of an inconvenience—at one point, one team member even rolled their eyes while helping us. When we called about the shower, we were met with a response that felt like, "Are you sure you need us to come up?" and then the receptionist simply hung up, without a reassuring "not a problem, I'll send someone up." Again, it made us feel like we were inconveniencing the staff, which is disappointing in a 5-star hotel. Additionally, we wouldn't particularly recommend the restaurant below. For more authentic Greek and Cretan cuisine, it's worth exploring the Old Town a bit further. That said, the views were fantastic.

Beautiful hotel right on the Venetian Harbour. If you want somewhere central, you can't go wrong! We were worried about noise, as the hotel is located above a restaurant, right in the thick of it, but it wasn't an issue. Though our room wasn't a Sea View room. All in all, would highly recommend. The hotel even met us at the car park, and helped us back with our luggage.
