Service was amazing. Very clean and great smell. Aircon working, no problems at all. Beautiful decor. The owner Georgios is very friendly and warm. The small pool was luxurious and absolutely necessary coming home from city and beach. Location is great in a quiet neighbourhood and good places to eat all around. We loved it and will highly recommend

The only downside was that the pool wasn’t working for the majority of our stay and this was one of the reasons we chose this property. However, the owner diligently worked to get the pool working, making multiple trips to the property. We did get to enjoy the pool on the last day!!

The apartment is beautiful and very clean! It was perfect for our family of 4. The location was easy to find and get to. The owners were very responsive to questions and concerns. They were so kind! Because of the day we arrived and lack of restaurants open, there was a freshly baked spinach pie and beverages waiting for us when we arrived!

There was nothing i didnt like about the property. The only little thing was that it was up hill.

The property was amazing. Beautifully set out, immaculate and very pretty around the pool area. It had everything you could ask for and more. George the host was amazing too, checking everthing was ok every other day. I could of stayed there for a lot longer. Would definately recommend it.

Nothing we didn’t like. The only suggestions for improvement would be to have some washing up liquid to hand (though there is a small dishwasher) and perhaps a knob or handle to more easily close the front door.

We liked the feeling that you were in the heart of a small community. The hosts were lovely but not intrusive. The property has been renovated very nicely and the plunge pool a rare extra for a small place. The sun terrace gets plenty of sun but there is also shade. Whilst the village was small, there were many restaurants virtually on the doorstep and we ate well every night. A 10 minute walk to the very good beach of Platanias. Small village shop (essentials only) literally next door. You do need reasonable fitness levels as the village is up a steep incline - but you get the views as a reward!

The Villa is awesome! Clean, with all the amenities you might need and the owners are there for you whenever you need. Its definitely a place we will stay again. Its all you see in the pictures and more.

Wonderful owner. Design and the atmosphere in this place was incredible. Kitchen equipment was amazing. Beautiful place close to the beach. We want to come back!!! We didn’t want to leave. Once again thank you for amazing stay and extra wine 🙏🏻💗

The LED screen on the air conditioning unit in the master suite can be quite bright at night. The area is well suited to a particular tourist market, which is resorts with cafes restaurants, and souvenir type stores surrounding it. This has its advantages and disadvantages for the area. Having a car gives you the option to escape that to see more of Crete if it’s not for you. The beach isn’t that great, would recommend heading out to find one of the many near Chania or over to Kissamos.

The house is well set up for a comfortable stay. One of the most important things when travelling is to be able to have a good night sleep, which we had here. Great bed + pillows. The plunge pool was very nice to come back to at the end of a day out. refreshing. The house is located within a short walk to the main street for the supermarket, cafes, and the bus stop into Chania (go early) It’s also a good spot to explore the west coast in a day drive. Parking is free, easy to aces, close by and safe.

Cretan Soul is beautiful, we didn’t want to leave. Another reviewer commented on its ‘oasis like qualities’ and it really is an oasis. The hosts were very kind and helpful. They made our stay very special. The villa has many thoughtful touches for guests. Thank you.

You couldn’t ask for a better stay in Platanias! It was a absolutely perfect place too stay for our time on holiday & the location is great! The owners and cleaner are friendly and really welcoming. would definitely recommend staying at Cretan Soul if you get the chance, Hoping we can return in the future.

We saw a few reviews that mentioned a "jacuzzi pool", which we mistakenly interpreted as meaning it would be heated. In actuality there is a bubble function but the pool is unheated.

The apartment is beautifully finished and feels luxurious with modern fixtures throughout. There were all the amenities we needed with a mini-mart for water and snacks a few steps away. There was a housekeeping service included which was great. Very quiet location, an amazing bed and blackout shutters meant it was easy to get to sleep. George the host was extremely welcoming and would stop by occasionally to see if we needed anything. Platanias town is a few minutes' walk away down the (rather steep) hill and the beach is very close by. It's hard to find anything to fault about Cretan Soul – we would definitely stay again!

The main road of Platanias is very touristy and not particularly nice. It's a much better up the quiet but steep hill where the accommodation is. The noise from the road and other apartments wasn't great. Unfortunately the washing machine wasn't working but I am sure that is an easy fix.

The accommodation is really beautiful and comfortable. It's very tastefully appointed and has everything you need. As others have said it's a wee oasis of calm Lots of really nice restaurants literally a stone's throw away. Riza across the road was wonderful. The pool was delightful to cool off in. It's a great base to see lots of the west of Crete. We particularly liked getting out of the busy areas and up into the hills or along the west coast.

After a day out, we would come back to the villa and open doors and windows to freshen the air. I would suggest a ventilation fan in the bathroom. (As window is too high to reach) and some sented oil around the villa. The handles on cupboards kept falling off and the toilet roll holder was loose/facing down which meant the toilet paper kept falling off. The ironing board is built into the wardrobe however, the iron plug doesn't fit into the socket next to the bed, so we could not iron clothes. It would be nice to have a tv in the second bedroom to cater to adult couples. I booked this villa especially for the jacuzzi, unfortunately it was a cold jacuzzi. It would be good to mention this in the description to avoid disappointment. With some small fixes this stay would be perfect. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great sleep, the beds were very comfortable and villa was beautifully decorated. The host and staff were very attentive, cleaning the pool daily and making our beds. The location is great, perfect for exploring the west coast. There are many restaurants and bars a stones throw away. The court yard and bean bags were very comfortable and relaxing.
