Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceI absolutely loved this place !! Stayed there for 2 nights at the end of my trip in Crete and everything was exceptional. The staff was so kind and the place and location were beautiful. Super clean rooms and common areas as well. I definitely recommend you go there if you are near Chania. Bonus : the infinity pool AND the private beach. Really loved it !

Hotel Corinna Mare is located in Kalamaki, a quiet village near Chania that feels almost deserted, with very few tourists around. This can be a positive aspect for those seeking peace, privacy, and a break from crowded tourist spots. The hotel has clearly been carefully developed over the years, and you can see the dedication of the owners to make it a pleasant, welcoming place. It offers beautiful gardens, two fairly large and very clean swimming pools, and stunning sea views, which are some of its strongest assets. The family room with a balcony offers a partial view of the sea. However, the room is not very spacious, the sofa bed is quite short (not suitable for people taller than 1.74 m), and there’s limited space for luggage and personal belongings. It’s not the best room, but it’s not bad either, it meets the basic needs. The hotel’s restaurant might not be run by award-winning chefs, but the food is decent and enjoyable. The big plus is the unbeatable location: you can have your meal right in front of the beach, just about 20 meters from the water. The sandy beach near the hotel is average, and the sea is often windy with big waves, something that may apply to much of Crete, depending on the season. On the downside, the sound of cicadas is constant and quite overwhelming, making it difficult to relax. Instead of creating a peaceful natural ambiance, it becomes stressful and annoying (typical for crete I guess). Noise from the nearby road can also be heard, which might disturb those looking for total silence. The hotel has everything you need, including a small gym, and the cleanliness, service, and staff attitude are truly the highlights. The team is welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind, which greatly improves the overall experience. In summary, Hotel Corinna Mare is a solid choice if you want a peaceful location with sea views, clean pools, and excellent staff.

LatviaIt would be nice to have a diswasher liquid in the kitchen and a little broom and shovel to sweep the sand from the floor.
An excellent and spacious place - a flat with 2 bedrooms, a hall and a kitchen and 3 balconies. A great swimming pool just next to the rocky beach and another swimming pool just next to the restaurant which gave a particularly spectacular view at the sunset. Gluten free bread available for the next day at a request. Very welcoming staff. A perfect location next to lots of tavernas and the sea. We enjoyed our stay a lot! Thank you!

SwedenUnfortunately the restaurant is closed 11am to 2pm so if you want to have lunch between those hours you have to go somewhere else. The gym had two treadmills but one was broken and the multi machine had seen its best days.
The pool area was really nice, not that big big but cozy and no problem to get sun chairs. The restaurant is also really good. Ok snorkeling directly from the hotels small beach.

GermanyThe immediate surroundings don’t offer much, but Chania is just a short drive away, and there are several large beaches nearby — though we actually preferred the hotel’s private beach.
Everything was perfect. The hotel has direct access to a private beach (a bit rocky, but still very enjoyable) and two swimming pools with a stunning view of the sea. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food, and the staff — from the hosts to the restaurant personnel — were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. Excellent value for money.

LatviaWe had technical issue with room that was given and at first the administrator said that we would need to wait some days for it to be repaired so that was strange, later he managed to find a room that we could change. He also didnt offer pool towels, so it was just a bit weird communication, as you would expect that hotel offers all things available to customer and I should not look for towels, about breakfast or how the car parking works.
The are is very nice, right at the beach providing excellent sunsets. The restaurant at the site was very good, food was excellent.

SloveniaThis is a 3 star hotel but it was More like 4 star. Big comfortable room with enough space, a big soft bed, a little kitchen with a coffee machine, some basic dishware. The beach right in front of the hotel is rocky but 2 min to the right there’s a nice sandy beach. The sea is calm and good for swimming and leisuring. For breakfast you pay separate but it’s a good solid breakfast for €12. Totally recommend this property. One more thing - they provide parking. This hotel just has all you need.

CanadaProbably the breakfast food which wasn’t included so don’t let that hold you back for staying and maybe we had to get up early to get a chair by the beach because there wasn’t a lot and we went in high season but we managed to get a chair when I got up early every time.
The best part of our stay was the incredible front desk staff — truly some of the nicest I’ve ever met. They were so kind and accommodating, letting us check in early because my daughter wasn’t feeling well, and later even upgrading us to a better room. Everyone was genuinely pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast is served at a separate restaurant from the hotel, so it’s not included. While the staff there were also kind, I wasn’t a big fan of the food. I actually preferred the restaurant across the street.

United KingdomNot being allowed to bring your own food or drinks to the common areas is something that really annoys me, I understand that this is common, but still annoying. Also restaurant staff could be more careful, order an ice tea, and don’t even get a glass with ice, is not the greatest service.
The views are amazing, and all the facilities helps a lot. The room was very comfortable and clean. Could be considered a 4 star hotel.
