Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenI didn't like the location at all because it was surrounded by streets that smelled of urine. Səhər yeməyi adına 1 kruvasan və bir qaynadılmış yumurta çox mənasızdı. Səhər yeməyi verilməsəydi, daha yaxşı olardı. Çünki o kruassanı bazardan ala bilərəm.

GreeceThe neighborhood was concerning. Although the property is conveniently located just a four-minute walk from the metro station, the surrounding area felt unsafe. Directly adjacent to the property was an abandoned building that appeared to be occupied by homeless individuals and possibly drug users
The room was clean. The lady who served the breakfast was very polite and kind

RussiaThere is no reception. There is no lobby. We were not intimated by anyone that we can't prolong our check out( as we checked in late therefore we wanted an extra couple of hours). We were literally thrown out of the room on the road without proper packing
Everything is digital, you can check in any time as the doors are electronically operated with the help of codes, rooms are spacious, lift operated floors

GermanyThe furniture is quite used (the handle in the bathroom fell off, the nightstand was really old) and two streets further there are a lot of homeless / addicts. The beds are rather soft which works for many but I had to get used to it
I liked the central location, the quite big room, the airconditioning, the fridge, the small balcony and the fact that it was clean. The cleaning staff was very nice and helpful, the access with codes was easy once I understood how it worked.

IndiaThe first day we arrived late as the flight was delayed and after understanding the codes we checked into the room and was horrified to know it was not the room we had booked and paid for. It was small, smelly and unclean and an inferior room than what we had booked. The balcony was just some cramped landing. Since there were no staff available I messaged the given number to lodge a complaint and the lady called me and as I was speaking to her "she kept telling me not to shout as her child was reportedly sleeping and my voice was disturbing! Was I on speakerphone? She sounded rude. What was happening? I had no clue. Anyway next morning they changed the room and it was ok. But the bathroom was very cramped. Breakfast is very basic. Since we had paid for our entire duration of our stay we were forced go stay there. Now I have learnt a lesson, never to pay in advance like this. Not returning to this hotel.
The location is great. The Aircon works very well. Once you get used to the codes it's easy to get in and out. There's a fridge, a small balcony.

ItalyWhen I usually read “breakfast included” I expect something good value for money. I ended up with 3 slices of bread with only 2 cheese slices, an egg and a cheap commercial croissant.
Private room and bathroom, small balcony to breathe a bit.

HungaryThe other reviews are right: basic breakfast, the nearby streets are dirty and there is a sewer smell in the bathroom. (But the room itself is alright.)
It is a good value for money accommodation. If your goal is to explore Athens, it is a good choice for sleeping and it is only 2 streets away from the metro station.

SwedenBreakfast. To get a cup of coffee/tea we had to go to the fifth floor and back. Avoid Akominatou street with a community of homeless people. Our daughter was a bit scared.
Close to the metro station, plenty of places to eat within walking distance, Archeological museum 15 min. away. We got an immediate response when the lights went out.

NetherlandsIt was a bit noisy, if someone opened the front door you could hear it really well. Also the drain was making a lot of noise when other rooms were using the shower or toilet, probably due to bad construction of the pipes
The price was good, you dont pay for luxury so dont expect luxury. Perfect for a few days
