Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing. Everything was perfect!
Everything about this property was perfection. The views, the location, the accommodations, & most especially, Anastasia! She was the most kind & generous host, & was very responsive. She was great at booking our transportation & excursions, & giving us restaurant recommendations. She even went above & beyond by trying to find a pharmacy that carried a specific medicine my mother needed when she got sick. Anastasia really made our experience special. The property is an older property with a rich history, but you wouldn’t be able to tell because it was completely updated & looks brand new. We had 5 people in our group & there was plenty of space for everyone. The water in the showers stayed hot & the air conditioning in each room worked great. It does get chilly at night with the wind & what not, but a nice surprise was that each bed had a heating pad! Additionally, there were a few snacks & bottles of water provided upon our arrival, which was very welcomed after a day of traveling. The location is right along the Fira to Oia hike, which we loved having direct access to. We did the hike to Fira & Skaros Rock (which is also along the trail) on one day & the hike to Oia the next. The main highlight for us was the views! They are stunning. From the rooftop terrace to the living room windows, there is not a bad viewpoint anywhere on the property. We watched the sunset every single day we were there. To make a long story short, book the property. You won’t be disappointed.

IndiaThe only (small) con I’d say (aside from walking down the last 300m or so) was that there aren’t many storage options (cupboards/wardrobes) for you clothes and other essentials in the villa .. It didn’t bother us much though.
The property is STUNNING! It’s the perfect place to base yourself to see Santorini, with aside of relaxation, overlooking the caldera. Anastasia (Ana) is truly the best host I’ve ever met… she’s so warm, friendly, quick to respond to messages or calls, incredibly helpful and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. The villa is very thoughtfully arranged, everything from first-aid kit, to adapters and sewing kit is provided. There are two types of coffee machine and two types of toasters too! There is also flyers of food delivery places that deliver to the villa doorstep making it so easy to stay.. Do note: There are steep steps leading down to the villa, which you need to navigate by walk. They arrange for someone to bring your luggage up and down so that’s not a problem. But this may be a problem for those who have a mobility issue. The location of the villa by itself, for me, was perfect. The view is STUNNING. There are multiple restaurants very close by, a small supermarket which gives you all the essentials. Very convenient. The villa is also right on the famous oia to Fira walking trail, so you always have people walking around in front of the villa. Personally, I loved this - I like interacting with people, so it was a win in my books.

ChinaThe rocky road before the villa may be not so friendly to seniors. But Vagelis helped us with the luggages.
Beautiful sunset from the villa. Clean and enjoyable greek style. Hundred percent worth the price! Elisabeth and Vagelis are super friendly and helpful. Elisabeth always replies in 5min. And Vagelis helps us to carry the luggages. It's really a wonderful experience.

AustraliaOn our arrival at the Port we were scammed by the Princess Tours Express Shuttle Bus Service - so be warned - do not use them! I wish Elisabeth had warned us about them and reminded us the day before we arrived to prebook a transfer either through herself or with another company. At the time of booking she did offer this service, but that is easily forgotten several months later. It should only cost you around 40 Euros from the Port or the Airport (4 people with 4 suitcases) to reach the villa. Apparently, the Princess Tours scam has been all over the news in Greece, so a warning would have been appreciated. The kitchen could have been better equipped with a few more medium pots and pans. There is also no microwave or dishwasher. The villa is situated on the walking track to Oia which did pose a bit of an issue with privacy as the walkers are literally walking past the large living room window. We ended up closing the curtain and appreciating the view from the side door and window. I would suggest that a sheer curtain be installed or better yet a blind that allows visibility from inside but not from outside. The privacy issue also meant that we did not use the outdoor furniture on this level. I would suggest it would be better to have some outdoor seating and a coffee table on the rooftop terrace, as that is where the best view is and it is quite private. The sunlounges need to be replaced as they are very old and there were no cushions on them for us to use. The inside lounge was quite dirty - unfortunately I believe this is from prior guests putting their dirty feet up on the lounge. Finally - just be mindful that the hot water is solar so you need to have quick showers if you are a group of 4 or more so you don't run out of hot water. Despite these issues, we still loved our time at Chrisofilida and would recommend it.
The villa is beautiful, modern and tastefully renovated and decorated. It is spacious, quiet and has fabulous views!!! We loved sitting on the rooftop terrace and taking in the sunsets each evening. The view from there is truly amazing!!! Elisabeth is a very kind and responsive host and she did her best to make our stay an enjoyable one. Vagelis also assists Elisabeth. He is a lovely man and helped carry our luggage on our arrival and the day we departed. He is very strong and could carry 2 suitcases at once, which was a great help given the path to the villa is not accessible by cars. The beds were extremely comfortable and the showers had great pressure. It was handy to have the washing machine and drying rack to keep on top of our laundry. There is a supermarket located just a short 5 min walk up the hill, which was very convenient, as well as a few restaurants. (We were too tired to eat out as we were hiking to Oia and kayaking on our short stay, so unfortunately I can't recommend any of the restaurants.) I would thoroughly recommend Santorini Sea Kayaks for a different experience of the island - they were very professional to deal with and we had a wonderful time with them.

Hong KongAlthough it is only a couple of minutes walk from car parking space to property, it can be challenging if you have heavy luggage.
Great view of the caldera, right on the hike between Imerovigli and Oia and close to village centre where you can find good restaurants and stores

CanadaEverything was perfect.
We loved absolutely everything. From the first communication to our arrival (Elisabeth waited for us with someone else to guide us to the house and help with the luggage), the house itself, the location, the view!, everything is breathtaking. Very quiet, the house all to ourselves, right above the trail to hike to Oia. The house stands all alone, no neighbours! And this on such a crowded island like Santorini, a miracle. You can easily reach the centre of Imerovigli, restaurants and a little store nearby. The roofterrace, amazing. We ordered food, dined in and took advantage to be the 'owners' of this exceptional place for one night. What a find!!

United StatesThis beauty is tough to describe…brand new 3 bed/3 bath house, where one room is a cave…spectacular view on caldera, island, sea, Oia, at sunrise and sunset. You can see both sides of island. On main Santorini hiking trail where dozens people stop in the morning to take caldera pictures…30 meters from starting point of famous Imerovigli - Fira trail…100 meters from first restaurants. Just perfect. Elisabeth was great, even booked sunset caldera cruise for us (highly recommend). Perfect spot to stay!

United StatesIf you're looking for a truly mesmerizing getaway, look no further than Chrisofilida. This home is a serene retreat that boasts some of the most awe-inspiring views I've ever encountered. From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was captivated by the panoramic views that unfolded before me. Witnessing the sun set behind the mountains, the scenery was a constant source of wonder and inspiration. The home itself was cozy and well-appointed, with charm and modern amenities perfectly blended. The large windows in the living area and bedrooms allowed me to take in the majestic views. The outdoor space was equally impressive, with a spacious deck that offered unobstructed views and comfortable seating. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or stargazing at night. The owner of the cabin was also a pleasure to deal with, providing clear instructions and prompt communication. The property was well-maintained and clean, and I felt right at home from the moment I arrived. If you're seeking a serene retreat with awe-inspiring scenery, this is the place to be. I highly recommend it for a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. I can't wait to return and experience the magic of this place once again.

United KingdomIt was a 250m walk over very uneven, rough cobbles and sometimes gaping holes underfoot from the car park to the property. It would be totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues, or for people with young children. We are reasonably fit 60yr olds and we struggled to walk up to the car park , it was quite steep and very uneven. Although lit in parts at night it was tricky walking home in the dark, and you need walking boots- not sandals ! Carrying water and food to the property was quite a task! The tap water is not suitable for drinking, not even when boiled as it’s salty. There was no where to put clothing in two of the bedrooms and only a small hanging rail in the third.
Absolutely stunning views of the surrounding area and of the sunset. The property was spotlessly clean and spacious and there were lots of clean fluffy white towels. the showers were fabulous, plenty of hot water and three great bathrooms. The beds were super comfy. The owner and host, Theodora was very attentive, warm and lovely. she arranged for someone to deliver our luggage to the door and to take it back to our car at the end of our stay. she provided everything you could need in the bathroom and kitchen.
