Unfortunately, it looks nothing like the pictures, seems like the entire picture portfolio is photoshoped, there are no palm trees anywhere, the pool area is messy and unkept, the umbrellas are beyond their last straws..the place looks like it is abandoned, the bedsheets have horrible stains on them, hold them in the light and you also see massive oil stains...

The price was decent.

The room/suite The room was unimpressively ill-maintained (except the full mirror) and inadequately equipped. The stone bed based bed frame was not comfortable, and looked antiquated. There were only two cups for a family of three, no glasses nor cutlery available, no tea nor coffee. The bathroom shower area was very tiny - the limescale coated tiny ineffectively placed shower head needed holding lest the water flooded the bathroom/toilet area. After every shower, one needed to mop up with the towels as the water went outside the designated shower area. The view The view from one’s suite (our) was disappointing. Our balcony view had nothing interesting to see other than the parched grounds and some attempt at fencing. During breakfast, the view was a dumping ground. As you drive to the property, the immediate local view looks deprived. Improvement advice - if you cannot control the adjacent land, try to plant fast growing palm trees to hide the ugly view. The beddings were not changed for the entire 5 nights we were there, they tidied the room daily, provided clean very rough towels but the sheets were unchanged. The breakfast No variety nor a great array of items. The breakfast was really disappointing; on offer daily was sliced cheap white bread, some yellow bread resembling brioche but tasted like normal bread, honey, two types of jams in those small packs, coffee, tea, some Greek yoghurt (left uncovered), some cheap plasticky ham, very hard boiled eggs, one type of juice, milk that creates a film on your tea and tastes awful, fresh whole oranges, apples, bananas and pears. These were all put on a long joined table some were in plastic containers grossly cheapening the whole breakfast experience - and the view as mentioned above was unappetising. We skipped breakfast half of the time we were there. Improvement advice, please provide a better breakfast choice, we don’t want apples )they tasted stale) concentrate on what Santorini produces locally.

The property’s location is ideal for the Black beach; it is an easy walking distance from the beach and the promenade where there are restaurants (with mediocre quality menus and food) and impressive shops selling good quality items for tourists. The staff (including the changeover staff) were very friendly, courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage and ordered us a very good reasonably priced high end taxi (a spacious air-conditioned Mercedes Benz people carrier). The pool was reasonably sized but not as the photos show.

Shower room was so smelly. It smelt like the sewers and sink was blocked. Rusty poor standard door handles and dirty blocked sink and tap. All need to be washed or replaced. Very old!!!!! Water comes back up the drain!!!! I did mention it at day 5 and was told a plumber had been arranged. I do hope he turns up because by the next day, I had enough. My view specifically was a dumping sight!! This is not the impression I got when browsing the hotel to book on Booking.com!!! A bottle of cold water by the bedsides at least on the first day and a box of tissues would be very appreciated. Breakfast was reasonable but the same every single day!! Variation for families that stay longer would be very appreciated. At least some sausages and croissant. Doesn’t have to be every day. Overall a reasonable place to stay but the view on the side of the dumping ground will need clearing. I woke up to this horrible view every single morning. Stray cats thrive here.

The breakfast is very poor, basically the offer is bread & jam & boiled eggs The pool area is much more used than in the images online (they’re quite deceiving), we actually decided to go to the beach every day instead which was fine just not what we’d planned. Cleanliness could be better, bathroom felt a bit grimy and I received towels with stains on multiple days Don’t bother with late checkout, I pre arranged to check out at 12:30 before arrival, but had housekeeping knocking on the door every 30 mins from 11am so decided to just leave instead.

Views from balcony onto waste land / scrap yard. Not enough sunbeds for pool area. Breakfast was poor. A bigger fridge to store water and a few cold snacks would have been good too.

Friendly staff, plenty of free parking. Room basic but pleasant. Air conditioning good. Good base for travelling around Santorini.

Authentic greek gem - warm hearted, first class service, good breakfast and beautiful rooms. Communication with Maria was smooth and all our wishes were filled and requests responded fast. The location is close to everything, yet calm and quiet.

The most disappointing accommodation in the Greek islands that I have encountered, although it had very high recommendations on booking. I made a reservation for 5 nights, a room with a mountain view and I received one with a pool view. I had only one request, not to get a room on the ground floor, only on the first floor and I received exactly the room on the ground floor. I told Mrs. Maria when I checked in that I was disappointed. The photos in the presentation are photo-shopped, the breakfast is not like in the photo. The palm trees in the photos don't even exist in reality. Most of the photos are photoshopped.. I received margarine, jam and boiled eggs for breakfast, these every day. The coffee was something dark in color, with little flavor. In 5 days I did not see a tomato, a cucumber, an olive although the island is full of vegetables and fruits. The bed linen, stained and rusty from the beginning, was never changed in 5 days. The towels were changed only once in 5 days, and that was at my request to Mrs. Maria. I had nowhere to dry the towels, they were constantly wet and damp. The doors all creaked and moved noisily at night in the wind that was blowing. I didn't even have a welcome bottle of water, I bought it myself from the market along with cardboard glasses, which the maid took from my room. The TV didn't work either, they came and changed the batteries in the remote control and 5-6 Greek radio-tv programs were visible, not via satellite. I checked out early at 6 in the morning and no one asked me if I wanted anything even though we had paid for another breakfast for 2 people. It is by far the worst accommodation I have encountered in the Greek islands. I don't understand why customers are being lied to with positive comments. The property also has poor ratings on other booking sites.

The breakfast was very very simple. Was nothing like expected. You can nearly hear everything trough the walls. It was very expensive considered how far it was from the beach and what they offered. The personel was ok, didnt talk to much.

Amazing stay exceptional value for money – highly recommended! We had a wonderful time at Blue Sapphire Hotel. The location is perfect — peaceful yet close to the beach. Irene and Maria were incredibly kind and helpful, always available for anything we needed. Their hospitality made all the difference. We truly felt taken care of and would gladly stay here again!

If you’re looking for authentic Greek hospitality, this is the place. Blue Sapphire offers comfort, kindness, and a perfect location quiet but just 10 minutes walk to Perissa’s famous beach. The pool is a true highlight, and there’s nothing better than sipping a drink from the bar as the sun goes down. We left feeling completely refreshed.
