How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The only small minus is the shower - there was only a shower curtain and the water splashed on the floor. But I suppose it is normal shower type in Greece, we just had to get used to it :)
We loved the stay! :) We could feel the true Greek family atmosphere and I loved it. Everything was amazing, we got tips for travelling, AC was working well, beds were comfy, balcony was a big plus, we got fridge and it was only a few hundreds meters from the beach. A special thanks to the owner of the house, who helped me get my dress from the bush (I let it dry on the balcony but it fell down and I couldn't reach it. Wish you luck with further business. :)

A little dated but part of charm and also lovely and clean

We stayed one week and everything was amazing. We really felt at home and the owner and his brother were really kind and always helpful. The room was clean and beautiful with a nice view of the sea. Really recommended.

Although we really appreciated to be offered the larger apartment with balcony, the owner was not the most welcoming host.
We were offered to stay in a flat with balcony that had a partial view on the sea and the surrounding gardens. The flat was adequate in space, even if the kitchen area was within the same room as the beds. The best part of the apartment was certainly the balcony. The owner offered us to stay in this apartment as long as we vacated by 9am the next morning, which we gratefully accepted.

The host was very kind and helped us with suggestions about places to visit and good restaurants. The room was comfy and with a small balcony with chairs.

Very friendly and polite staff . Perfect location for discovering Crete’s famous beaches like Balos, Falasarna - it’s near ! Room was clean , with side sea view , peacefully to sleep. For a budget travelers is perfect ! Great value for the money and time , excellent service and price !

Not keen on the cockroach in my room. Moved to another. Overall the property feels a bit tired. Balcony very cramped.
The owner was welcoming even though he had a lot of challenges at the time. I didn’t have a sea view but if I had the view would have been lovely from a great vantage point. Well equipped

The brothers where very friendly and helped with anything you need. I had a vieuw on the beach from my room. Beautiful. Airconditioning perfect. Nice and safe neighborhood.

We had a double room with a nice, big balcony which had a incredible view to the sea and mountains. You can see a great sunrise from there. Room was comfortable and clean. The location was also great - a strategic spot if you want to visit the prettiest beaches in Crete. It also had shops and restaurants at a walking distance which made things easy for us. Our host made us feel very comfortable from day 1. He was always ready to give us tips and help us with anything necessary. We felt very safe and welcomed.

Nice people and cheap but we were very disappointed by the cleanliness of the room : dirty, a pill on the floor (while we travelled with a baby), toilets unflushed. We felt humidity in the room, some windows have no curtains. There was a lack of equipment in the room (in a studio of 3, only 1 chair, only 1 knife). The shower was narrow and there was a water leak in the shower glass that flood the bathroom. It was difficult to park the car in the streat. For these reasons and despite the kindness of our hosts we do not recommend this hotel.
